Bill was instrumental in walking me through the purchase of my first Porsche. He was an advocate even before he knew how serious I was in the purchase process. His PPI was thorough, and his assessment gives me confidence I know the order of operations of things I will be watching down the road. Cares about the Marque, cares about the customer, and, in my book, if a mechanic gives you confidence, that’s a rare breed. There are snake oil folks, then there are air oil folks. I can’t recommend Bill Eason at Eason Auto Works in Emeryville highly enough. From the very first time I stopped by his shop —before I was even a paying customer — he was welcoming, friendly, and more than happy to offer helpful maintenance advice on my vintage 911. That kind of generosity and passion is rare these days. Since then, Bill has helped me sort out any of the issues that have popped up on my air-cooled Porsche. He’s a true encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to these cars, and it shows in both the quality of his work and the confidence he brings to diagnosing and solving problems. On top of all that, his pricing is fair, he communicates clearly, and he genuinely cares about the cars he works on. If you have a classic Porsche (or Ferrari, Mercedes, etc) and want someone you can trust, Bill is the guy.
