These guys asking for your vehicle info to give you ESTIMATE ON VEHICLE INSPECTION FOR APP(which is static price elsewhere) What a non sense. Avoid this place, they’ll charge you an arm and a leg.

They charge tax for labor 😂 I got duped!!! 49.99 for an Uber inspection and got charged $58. That’s a 16% tax!!!! Plus I didn’t pass cause I had a couple lights out, $50 a light plus I had to pay for the inspection again. Talk about a predatory mechanic. Oof! Wish I would’ve checked their ratings before coming.

I had a very disappointing experience at Meineke Car Care. I paid for a service on May 27, 2025, which was not provided, because the price he said I says Ok and then when I tap on the little tapper to charged. the riecepet come out 10$ different and I cancelled my service ,and requested a refund, the service I went for was lyft inspection. which was the refund they promised would be processed within three business days. It’s now July, and I still haven’t received any refund or confirmation. And if you guys pay intention to others review about him is the same thing he kept many people’s money like that , so please someone take care of this scam. He really do bad with people. Worse, when I followed up, I was met with rude behavior, including yelling and being cursed at by staff. I asked for a refund receipt, which they refused to provide. I’ve made multiple attempts to resolve this issue politely, but have been ignored and disrespected at every turn. This level of unprofessionalism and poor customer service is unacceptable. I do not recommend this location based on my experience, and I hope management takes this seriously and does right by future customers.

SCAMMERS!! Went in for a new tire because I got a flat. Andre the “manager/owner” asked what I needed I took him to my car to show him exactly what kind of tire I needed he sed yeah I will order it. I went in to pay 350 no receipt no overall review no signature no nothing just says I will call you when ready to pick up. I get there to notice it’s a different tire from what we talked about. I go on to tell him that’s no it I want my tire or a refund! He says we don’t carry your tire and we don’t do refunds… WOW no call to confirm I was ok with what he was doing. I feel scammed I feel unsafe to drive my car with my kid in it. At this point everything about this place is a safety issue.. I go on to speak to the worker who did the job because he’s the only one working there, he says he does this all the time to customers as much as customers complain he gets away with it!! I will be reporting this, this is not ok. I got a cheap tire that cost 120 for 350. No sir this needs to stop. Bridgestone is what I asked for milestone is what I got. This is Andre without a care he proudly posed for the picture because he refused to give me his full name.

Hello, on March 20, 2025, I went to this location to have my 2025 Honda Pilot inspected for a state inspection. I arrived and asked how much the inspection cost, and the man who helped me never answered. The online service said it cost $40, and I learned that was the price.I requested an inspection. The man charged 2 for the value of $159, 79$ and I found out when the message arrived on my credit card. I asked to cancel the inspection, but they refused to do so, and they wouldn't refund my money. I filed a complaint with customer service on March 20, the same day it happened, and they still haven't given me a solution. It seems they're going to keep that money for a service I didn't use. This company's customer service is terrible, and they waste their customers' time. I will never return to this place again, nor will I recommend their services. The annoying thing is that they play with people's time and money. I recommend Jiffy Lube, it's much cheaper and has better service.

Took my car in for an oil change and inspection and this is how my car was lifted up. Manager/owner says there’s nothing wrong with my rocker panels. As can be seen the the pictures, they’re damaged and scratched.

I brought my car to Meineke Car Care Center for an inspection. Before taking it in, I made sure that everything was in good condition—my lights, tires, and brakes were all working perfectly. However, after just a few minutes, the mechanic claimed that 2 of my lights bulbs aren’t working. This was surprising because I had checked everything beforehand and knew it was fine. It felt like they were trying to create unnecessary repairs to charge me more. This kind of behavior is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. When I said to him cancel it and I don’t want inspection with this shop, he ignore it. Instead of feeling like I could trust them to take care of my car, I felt like they were more focused on finding ways to make money. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for honest and reliable service. The inspection cost is $40, he charged $79. He charged me correct bulbs $89. I will never go anymore to this location, I also deeply recommend you for not going to this location.

SCAMMERS!!!! RUN!!!!! Went in to get an oil change and vehicle was placed on the mount and had the hood open but the service was never done. $90 for a synthetic oil change. Had the vehicle checked by my friend and noticed that the oil was still dirty and the filter was never touched. Went back to talk to the “supervisor” and had them actually do it since they didn’t want to give me a refund after a verbal altercation.

Coming here is always a breeze and easy for me. I've had two flat tires in the last two months and each time I've brought my car here to get it fixed. The manager and his team are always willing to work with you and find a way to get your problem/issue fixed. On top of that, each service lasted about 30 minutes tops. I was and out. Once during the weekday in the afternoon and once on a Saturday morning. If you're having issues and looking for an affordable car repair shop, I highly recommend stopping by.

Came in for a full inspection but was pressured into an oil change I didn’t need. I still had over 1,000 miles left and I regularly check my fluids. I paid $114 and never got the inspection I asked for when specifically asking what the 23 point inspection entailed so I knew if my concerns were addressed or if I needed a full inspection and he insisted I needed both. When I requested a printout, the employee said, “I told you what you needed,” multiple times and started listing random things like windshield wipers before giving me a printout. While he sat in my car, I saw him pressing the brakes and heard a strange noise, yet he never mentioned it, it’s not even on the print out. I’ve had excellent, transparent service at the Fairfield location, which made this experience even more disappointing. This visit felt careless, dismissive, and not worth the money. I won’t be returning. Service Advisor was Andre Halim

Updating my review! Ride-share drivers beware. After doing research i’m seeing multiple people complain about being scammed by the manger at the Foot Hill Location for lyft services. Charging different prices and not confirming the cost. I called around to multiple meineke stores in the bay area and all of them offer different prices. From $89.99 (Spoke with Bill from the Gilroy Location), $50 ( spoke with the south bay location they even stated $75 for both, this is the ONLY location that specified price per form), $75( Meineke close to cupertino). A month ago this location charges someone $99 for the same form. At this point @Meineke needs to explain why price change so drastically per location and seemingly per the managers whim. Never going again! The manager is a crook and a thief. I went up there for quick LYFT inspection. The price listed in the app was $39 but he quoted me $69 when i asked why he said its year, make and mode changes the price. He does the inspection and ask for payment the card reader didn’t show a price and I asked him” How much am I paying total “ What’s my total”.( I should have asked to see it fistt)He says it’s $69 for the uber/lyft. Provides me two forms and I leave. When I check my bank later I see he charged me $159.98. called and asked and he said it was $69 for each form in which I say that is not what you told me you said $69 total when I checked out. He proceeds to argue with me that he told me but I continually asked him what was his clear response when I asked for the total amount i’m being charged. Which he kept ignoring at first. Apparently him saying uber/lyft formhe was charging me for two different forms. I I tried explaining to him that I only needed 1 form and it’s kinda crazy to charger per form when clearly on the app it says you can use a form from multiple ride services I asked him again flat out what was the total he told me as he never said anything other than the $69. I went back up there because I didn’t get the receipt the first time i left ( which I should of done). The receipt does not show individual cost of service. He claims there is no itemized receipt for me to see everything and that there nothing he can do. He continued to argue that I knew what I was paying for when however when I clearly asked him again why was it he told me when I asked for the total price he can’t directly answer or roundabout answer, I finally left it and told him, he knew that what he quoted and what he charged where two different thing’s. I just wanted a refund of the form I wasn’t gonna use which is Uber as i’m not driving and don’t even have the app downloaded. I even said I can bring it back and show I never took a pic of it as the app is not downloaded on my phone. Again nothing he can do for me. The manger flat out LIED to me and practices what feels like shady business. I will tell anyone looking for service not to go there and ask upfront for a list of what service are charged and price.

I went to this location to get an inspection for Uber/Lyft. I paid $79.00 UP FRONT before the “inspection” and was then told that I had a small and I mean small knick in my windshield and he couldn’t perform the inspection. But….if I paid him $200 CASH then miraculously he could not only perform the inspection but also PASS the inspection for me. I declined and asked to receive a refund of the $79 and he said it was “nonrefundable” even though he didn’t perform the inspection. I left and went to another place and they performed the inspection and I passed. Rip off con artists need to be stopped. So pathetic. It’s disgusting. Just do honest work. We are all out here just trying to make it. This shady type of business isn’t necessary.

I was there for a vehicle and inspection for Lyft . It says 39.99 once you get there he charges different as well in the debit card machine don’t show what are you paying when I asked why is 57.99 on the receipt while is saying on the app 39.99 his answer was depending on a car where does it say that plus he said my light not working and didn’t passed he show me the headlight they were off of course I had to press the button to put on the headlight on. He said they’re not working so he can charge me $40 each. I got it from a dealer nothing was wrong with light luckily I didn’t take his word I went to different inspection. It passed with no problem. scanmers definitely not going back.

We had a nightmare experience with this repair shop. Our daughter took her BMW, that we own and pay for repairs on, into the shop to get the battery replaced. The replacement was over $600 and shortly after she got the car out of the shop the “battery discharge” warning light kept coming on and the battery kept dying for no reason. She was stranded multiple times, including one time over night in Oakland. So dangerous! We encouraged her to take the vehicle back as the work is supposed to be under warranty but the tech there barely listened to her before dismissing her and telling her everything was working fine. She called Meineke corporate, they encouraged her to go back, when she did she was dismissed again. We had no choice but to take the vehicle to a more reputable mechanic. I was there when the second mechanic opened the battery compartment, took a picture of the battery, compared it with the BMW website for the car and discovered that Meineke had installed the completely wrong battery. Plus they had failed to “register” the battery with the car so that it would work with the electrical system. Instead the incorrect battery had been wreaking havoc with the electrical system and discharging. I’ve included a picture of the correct battery on top and the incorrect battery on the bottom. Once the second battery was installed and “registered” with the car it has been trouble free, no more discharge, no more dead battery, no more stranded daughter. We called Meineke twice to ask for a full refund only to be yelled at and told we didn’t know what we were talking about. We also called Meineke corporation to file a complaint and haven’t heard back from them. We also filed complaints with the BBB and the Bureau of Automotive Repair. We just want a full refund that we are due. Never go to this shop!

I visited this shop recently. The prices are a bit high compared to other places, and the customer service could be better. I hope they improve their behavior with customers and offer more reasonable prices in the future

When they’re doing lyft inspection they changed extra money from their price then failed my car without inspection. After that they wanted $300 cash. I asked them why, they said $200 cash ok. They do fraud Lyft drivers. They didn’t refund my money and failed my car. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY SERVICES THEY SCAMMED AND FRAUD YOU

I'm an Uber driver and I stopped by here to get my car inspected. I was charged $99.99 by this guy. I asked him the price but he didn't tell me. He asked me to put in my credit card. I immediately canceled the charge and wanted a refund, but he refused to refund it.

Absolutely. Here’s a more professional, factual, and legally cautious version that focuses on your experience without accusations or inflammatory language. This style works well for Google or Yelp and helps the review stay up and visible. ⸻ Professional & Neutral Review I’m sharing my experience to help other customers, particularly rideshare drivers, make an informed decision. I visited this Meineke location for a vehicle inspection required for Uber/Lyft. Prior to arrival, I was informed the inspection cost would be $49. Once I arrived, I was told the fee was $49 per inspection, with Uber and Lyft requiring separate inspections. This was unexpected, as I have completed these inspections in prior years without being charged separately. Because I needed my Uber account activated immediately, I agreed to proceed with only the Uber inspection. During the inspection, I was informed that one side marker light was out. I was then charged $64 for the replacement of a single light bulb, which I felt was significantly higher than expected. I asked if I could replace the bulb myself on-site, but I was told that doing so would void the inspection fee (approximately $58) and require paying for a new inspection. At that point, I felt I had little choice but to proceed. While the services were completed, I left feeling uncomfortable with the lack of clarity around pricing and the limited options presented once the inspection had begun. I encourage others to ask for full pricing details upfront and to consider comparing options before committing to service at this location.
