I like the concept of first come, first serve offered by the Eau Claire Express Lane. The service manager was friendly and disclosed the time line in getting an oil change. The whole experience was great!

Was very disappointed that the oil change package that I paid for was no longer accepted due to a change of ownership. Money doesn't come easy and to find out it was no longer honored is disappointing. They then tried to tell me I used them all but I know there were at least 2 left. I've purchased 4 vehicles from Eau Claire automotive but will now take my business elsewhere. Then charged me $94 for a oil change only.

I am less than pleased with how the situation played out. Requested service for an oil change (nothing else including a "recommended battery replacement" which i declined, and am still driving with no issue 8 months later, through winter i might add), paid, left, didn't make it 1/4 block before having to turn back knowing something was very wrong, every time stepped on the gas vehicle physically shook and made a whining noise, senior tech came to look at it, said seemed like the all-wheel drive wasn't engaging properly, put it back on the lift to take a look at it, came back with something about the transmission slipping and i know it's kind of a weird coincidence it happened after bringing vehicle here, and then went to go look at it again. Turns out the tech servicing it drained "some" transmission fluid before realizing it was the wrong plug is what i was told because in a Subaru the 2 plugs are near each other. So knowing this happened they still handed me my keys and let me pay and be on my way, doesn't seem like a good way to run a shop. Then they ordered transmission fluid, but not enough, so ended up having to wait longer. After was not offered anything so much as a discount for the extra nearly 2 hours waiting to correct the problem that they caused but wasn't about to stick around any longer to argue the point, just ready to be done with the whole situation and never return. Well, updating because there is more to this debacle than previously known, it's questionable since like previously stated with replacing the transmission fluid how many times they pulled out and replaced the plug to get the transmission fluid back to the proper level (having not ordered enough the first time) , in their haste to get me out the door also looking like they stripped out the fill hole housing AND the plug itself leaving my transmission leaking for the past 6000 miles. My most recent trip back to a Subaru dealership having known that they had caused this whole mess and not trusting anything that they had done, also knowing at the 100,000 mile Subaru recommended having a transmission flush, so rolling into Subaru at 109,825 mileage and not knowing what Eau Claire express lane had actually filled my transmission with i requested that Subaru completely flush the transmission along with my next oil change. That's when they discovered the stripped housing and plug and did not feel comfortable with it leaving the premises until fixed, go figure. So until this point in time when Eau Claire express lane clearly botched this simple oil change request, no one should have touched my transmission plug literally at all since it was installed in my car when they put the car together at the factory. Now at this point I went back and specifically asked to speak to Brian so that we could clear up the situation and hopefully that they would pay for the repair to my transmission which came to about 643$. He told me that day that that oh yes we'll definitely cover some of this bill and that i need to speak with some higher ups, and that he wished i had come to them to repair it because they could have repaired it for less. (Keep holding your breath I let you ever touch my vehicle again, you got to be out of your mind...). But he persistently said yes we'll cover at least some of the bill and we left it at that and that he would call me on Mon. Morning at around 9 a.m. I didn't get a phone call at 9 or 10 and at 11 finally called him back for him to tell me that they were thinking about not paying anything but he was still working on it and that he would get back to me. I gave it a reasonable week and called again the next Mon. But unable to get him on the phone i left a voicemail trying to figure out anything really. Now being 10 days after even the voicemail I'm just assuming they're just giving me the run around and leaving me out to dry as it were. I guess the next step is court. I DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RECOMMEND VISITING THIS SHOP FOR ANYTHING SO MUCH AS AN OIL CHANGE.

Service was prompt, thorough and accurate. This was my first oil change with my new vehicle. The employee looked up my vehicle and found that I was eligible for a free oil change and rotation. She took care of what was needed for that to happen which I appreciated.

EDIT: The manager of the shop, Brian, reached out and addressed all of my concerns and made everything right. Was very impressed by it and will definitely return for service in the future. Would definitely recommend this place! Stopped in today and get my oil changed and had a pleasant experience overall with the people up front but noticed a couple things when I got home. There were oil fingerprints everywhere on my engine bay and noticed some spilled oil near my oil filter housing. The tech that worked on my car checked the air filter and upon reinstalling it stripped the plastic out on my air filter box where a few of the screws go in and forgot to screw one in entirely. They also forgot to reset my maintenance interval which I did when I got home. On the bright side, the oil change was done correctly and was filled to the proper level, but with the cost of the service and being a vance owned facility I expected better quality of service and more attention to detail.

Customer experience was 10/10 both of the front desk people were super nice and very helpful. First come first serve is not my favorite aspect of any shop but it makes a lot of sense when different Jobs take more or less time. Overall very satisfied with the work they did on my car, they were familiar with the issue my tire was having and took time and care to address the specific issue and not just push me through the door.

I brought my vehicle in for an oil changed, dropped it off and ran errands with my husband. When we returned they had gotten the oil change done, rotated my tires and even washed it because it was so dirty! The staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend and will be happy to give them my business in the future.

I was able to get my vehicle in and repaired (screw removed from tire and tire patched) in a short amount of time, no appointment needed. Waiting in their lounge was very convenient and I got frequent updates about the progress of the work on my vehicle which I very much appreciated. No complaints here!

BE AWARE!!! I went in for full service oil change, mind you I purchased my vehicle a year ago with brand new breaks. I was told I needed new breaks and it would cost me around $400-500. I’m fully convinced it was because I’m a female and “don’t know better” about cars. I clearly said no and just wanted an oil change, I knew my breaks were fine. I did go to another shop and they also told me my breaks were fine and I had my brother-in-law check them when he came to town. Always get a 2nd even 3rd opinion!!! What else would they lie about?

Went to have an alignment done back in September 2024. They did 3 out of 4 wheels and told me my driver's side rear wheel was out of toe and they didn't feel comfortable adjusting it because the bolt was rusted. They then proceeded to tell me it wouldn't affect the drivability of my vehicle. They also recommended new tires. So I went elsewhere to get new tires and my mistake was to tell the tire place I just got an alignment. So this past Saturday I went to the tire shop to get my tires rotated and to my surprise, my left rear tire was so worn out on the inside, the belt was showing. So I had to get 2 new tires. I place most of the blame on Eau Claire Express lane because they said it would affect the drivability of my vehicle. Also some of the blame should be on the tire shop but I was misinformed by Eau Claire Express lane. I will not be going back

I went to the express lane when I noticed brake noise when visiting the area for Christmas. I had my rear brake completely redone, an oil change, and the coolant flushed-per their suggestion. The tech spilled coolant all over my engine compartment. It was smoking when I drove away. The glovebox was not replaced before returning my car to me; the tech had to come to the parking lot to put it back in. My oil light immediately came on when I left the parking lot indicating that I was over a 1/2 quart low on oil. I brought the car back and they put sufficient oil in but stated it was a tenth low and sometimes Subaru’s lights come on after an oil change. These statements ring false. I drove my car home and upon having to brake hard driving through the cities my BRAKE light came on with an electronic parking brake warning. I have to take it to another mechanic because my safety features and cruise control will not work the brake light on. I contacted Brian the service manager who agreed to give me a refund of 50% of my total invoice. I had to contact Brian 2 more times after our first conversation before my refund was processed. Even after our discussions Brain attempted to refund me a lesser amount than agreed upon twice. I expect expected to pay a higher price for convenience and I also expected quality for the price. If you use this service I would watch the techs at all times while they work on your vehicle.

Let's start off with how friendly and respectful this place is. Don't forget the comfy waiting room with coffee, drinks, and snacks. Paired with honest mechanics who go out of their way to help you out, even though your from out of state. This is a recipe for one of a kind auto shop that goes above & beyond to make sure you drive away more than satisfied and safe. 1000 will bring my business here again. Please remember to tip your mechanics, they really deserve it!!

Got in and out as quickly as promised. I had to walk out and find my own vehicle - at my other service department, the vehicle is brought back to the service lane where I drop it off. Not a big deal that day but if it were raining or snowing, I would not have been very happy to walk across the parking lot to my vehicle.
