My insurance secured them for Roadside Assistance. Not only did they not show up, but, the man lied and said they'd been trying to reach me. I watched the icon on the map and the driver never came within 2 miles of my home and never called. I wouldn't recommend a tow truck service that either doesn't know how to read a map, or are habitual liars. I definitely filed a complaint.

If I could give this company a 0 star rating, I would. I was unfortunately assigned this company via my roadside assistance. As I write this, I have been waiting for 4 hours and 22 minutes (over 2 hours beyond what I was told) and they are still not here. When I called and spoke to someone at the company office and then later the driver himself, they could not have cared less and shifted the blame anywhere else they could. If you have the luxury of choosing a tow service, I implore you to choose literally anyone else. It looks like they are not strangers to horrific reviews. One would think they'd do something to remedy this atrocious reputation but clearly not. I'm not sure how this company is still in business. I am appalled and disgusted.

If I could give this company a negative 0, I would. I waited 4 hours on them to arrive to tow my car. They were supposed to be arriving at 12:3p around 2 the Gps location said " ARRIVING SOON" after the next hour I was still waiting. Reached out to them & asked ETA. Couldn't give me a eta after they were supposed to be to my location 1 hour prior to me reaching out. Their excuse to me was its raining. Must I mind you IT WASN'T RAINING!! Just to receive a text a hour later saying sorry for the inconvenience & being reassigned to another tow after waiting that long of a time. This company needs to be shut down & out of business because clearly they don't care about your time. I also explained to them that I had to drop my car off at the tire shop before they close. Still couldn't give me a ETA. If your insurance company recommends them please tell them to give you someone else. 1 last thing, I was about to text them & ask them the ETA going through my phone this is the same service my insurance company gave me a year ago. Had I tried to text them sooner I would have known to decline their service. WORST TOW IN HISTORY!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! THIS IS A HORRIBLE TOWING COMPANY !!! The drivers and dispatch are very rude and unprofessional!!!! The driver drivers recklessly . The communication between driver and customer is HORRIBLE! ( They LIE about following up with you ). They don’t know how to address their customer in a professional manner (dispatch and driver) and make inappropriate remarks to you regarding their lack of communication to you as the customer . I am very dissatisfied with this company and wouldn’t NEVER recommend this unprofessional company to anyone!!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN NOR DO I RECOMMEND . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be dissatisfied , just a heads up !!!

Like so many others here, I wish I had read the negative reviews before allowing my insurance to use this company. I waited almost a full twenty-four hours and they NEVER picked up my car. (After 22 hours, I asked my insurance to use a different company, and the new company was able to get the job done within an hour or two.) My car was on the interstate, and I called the dispatchers about five times to explain this to them and ask that they have the tow truck driver call me so I could explain my location. The tow truck drivers didn't call me until they were at the wrong location, and then they would just give up and drive away. Twenty-four hours, people. My car was almost towed by the City. NEVER use Echols. They are awful.

If assigned by your insurance company immediately ask for another towing company. I waited over 6 hours for service and had to be reassigned. I called dispatch multiple times and was given an eta of 30 mins. They stopped answering calls which prompted by insurance company to reassign. DO NOT USE.

USAA roadside assistance assigned me this towing company. Initial estimate was 75-120 minutes. After 2 and a half hours, I called to check in - they said they were less than 30 minutes away. 30 minutes come and go, then they said only 15 minutes away, etc, etc. After 4 hours of waiting, I called and the dispatcher had the gall to tell me the tow truck was in the parking lot that I was in (and had been in, waiting for them for 4 hours). When I said he clearly wasn't, the dispatcher said the tow truck operator would call me. That call never came through, and the dispatcher then stopped taking my calls... after 4 and a half hours, I had to cancel and wait another two hours for another tow company to come. TL;DR: Do not use this company under any circumstances.

Tried to get my car towed and was assigned this company by my insurance. We were told multiple times that they were less than 10 minutes away then when they never showed, we called them only to be told that they were unable to pick up our car. We were never updated on this and only found out because WE called THEM. Finally we were told that they would be there to pick up our car at 8:30am and that someone would call us around 8am. Again, we never heard from them and when we called around 9, we were told that we “called” at 6:50 am (before we were even awake) to cancel the tow even though we had been waiting almost 24 hours for a tow and did not cancel. Terrible company, terrible customer service, do not use this company!!!!!!

DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If your insurance assigns this company for towing, have them reassign immediately. Waited 8 hours for a tow (they were always apparently 30 mins away) and then bumped to 7am the next day. After 4 hours of them being "3 minutes away" we eventually bit the bullet and had it reassigned to a new company. The dispatcher is EXTREMELY rude and aggressive and will hang up on you if you ask for any kind of clarification on status (did the exact same thing to the insurance reps). Don't make the mistake I did and think they'll eventually come - they won't.

Horrible experience. After 2 hours waiting for a tow, I called to follow up. They picked up the line and hung up immediately w/out saying anything...twice. Then I got a text saying they couldn't get to tow. 5 hours later... about 9:30pm I get a call from a driver as if the call has just been dispatched. Next day, same horrible experience.

Very unprofessional and unreliable. Abruptly cancelled my service and claimed they had attempted to call me 6 times. When reviewing my call history, I received 2 calls and had spoken the drive after the 2nd missed call. I was not notified that my service was cancelled and had been waiting for over an hour. If I had not called Echols to check on the status of my tow, I could have been waiting indefinitely. At the least, this provider should have notified of cancellation so that I could make proper arrangements. Do not use this provider.

This business deserves absolutely ZERO stars. They lack in timeliness, professionalism and integrity. I had an issue with my vehicle and contacted my car insurance provider to let them know that I would need tow services. I received absolutely no communication regarding where or when this company would arrive via text or phone updates. Concerned, I called my insurance provider after an hour of waiting to let them know about the lack of updates. A customer service representative states that someone from Echols Transport should have already been assigned and that they should have contacted me. Their system was showing that Echols reported they were on the job already. That was Red Flag #1. Echols then calls me a few minutes later saying they’ve JUST dispatched someone and that the employee would arrive in 45 minutes to an 1 hour. Echols then falsely reports their ETA to my insurance company as 20 minutes via text. Red Flag #2. I call Echols again and we agree to have someone come at 5:30pm because my mechanic would be at his shop to let my car in. 5:30 rolls around, and no tow is in sight. I call Echols and they state someone has not yet been dispatched. Wow. Please keep in mind that I called them two hours prior and they confirmed the time with me. Afterwards, I called my insurance company again requesting a new provider. They informed me that they contacted Echols and asked that I give them one more chance. An Echols employee, Frank, calls me saying he is 21 minutes away. 30 minutes pass and he is no where to be found. I call his number, no answer. I call again another 20 minutes later and still no answer. Around 7:45pm, I decided to call my car insurance provider to put my foot down and request a new towing company. Shortly after, my friend and I notice a tow truck circling the parking lot. It is Frank from Echols who arrives. My friend leaves the car and asks him why he did not provide me updates regarding his whereabouts. The employee states that he left his phone at the gas station and had to go back to retrieve it…..? My thing is, why not call me back once this alleged missing phone was retrieved? Why not provide an update? My friend asks him these questions and his response was he “didn’t think about that.” Interestingly, we noticed him pulling out a smart phone and speaking on it. I would not be surprised if he was lying. Every tow company that I have ever used call when they are nearby. The incompetence at Echols is astounding. This employee, Frank, never answered his phone and did not arrive within 21 minutes. His arrival was well over an hour later. Because we cancelled the service, he drove off and I was issued another company that was both timely and extremely responsive. If your insurance provider mentions Echols to tow your car, please ask for another company to do the job. This company boldly lies about their ETA and the whereabouts of their drivers. Overall, I wasted seven hours of my time waiting on this company. I will never do that again. This could have been an incredibly unsafe situation for my friend and me had this occurred in the middle of the night and we were somewhere on the side of the road. I will be filing a formal complaint with my insurance company.

My car had problems in downtown Atlanta and Echols Transport was an absolute lifesaver. The arrived quickly and helped me in every aspect of getting my car towed to a repair shop. Would absolutely recommend for anyone in need of a towing service in Atlanta.

Extremely unprofessional. Cancelled my service and claimed they had attempted to call me multiple times. I gave them my wife's number to call and told them I do not get service at my job. They reached out to her to confirm, but then on the day of the tow, only called my number. Because I didn't answer due to no service, they canceled the service. I was not notified that my service was cancelled and had been waiting all day long for. If I had not called Echols to check on the status of my tow, I could have been waiting indefinitely. Do not use this provider!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible service. Horrible treatment towards customers. DO NOT USE!!

Would give zero star if posdible. Waiting 5 hours on insurance road side assistant booked tow truck. Eveytime you call them it’s an hour out with a different excuse. Terrible company to avoid - local police stopped and got me a tow truck - better pay myself than this

Arthur picked up my car earlier than the initial estimate, got to the fifth floor of my parking deck with no issues (despite it being a tight fit), safely got my car onto the truck, and took it to the dealership with no issues. He was extremely nice and could not have been more pleasant to work with at a high stress time.

I wish I could give 0 stars. They accepted the tow through my Insurance. Had us sitting on the side of highway for 2 hours and wouldn’t answer calls. My Insurance finally got in touch with them and they said they were still 45 min out but also could not give us a ride with the tow (I also had my 7 year old in the car). I could have gotten a ride but almost 3 hour wait is unacceptable . A.B.S towing saved the day and took care of the car extremely quickly. Thank god for Tavon! Do not use this company that goes under the name A&J towing.

Arthur was great! From the moment he showed up until he dropped our car, he was extremely personable and kind. We had a few laughs, even though we weren't in an ideal situation. Thanks again, Arthur! Stay safe out there!
