Chris was honest and politely up front with me about my car situation. Ernie's Automotive sought to fix the problem the least expensively way first.

Great customer service and friendly! I'm 3 hours out of town and they were able to get me in for a used car inspection before buying a car! Very thorough and upfront with the vehicle condition. Would highly recommend them for your vehicle's service.

My husband and I came here to have our wheel studs replaced. They were so welcoming, and stayed after close to finish the job for us. I will definitely be coming here for any other auto work in the future. Great place, great mechanics, and wonderful customer service.

Bill at Ernie's is AMAZING!!! We drove my grandson's Lincoln to the shop yesterday to see what the noise was coming from the wheel; it ended up being wheel bearings. He was able to fit us in; called less than an hour later with his complete diagnostic and within 2 hours, the car was ready!!! I would absolutely recommend Ernie's to everyone I know!!!

Very knowledgeable and friendly with flexible service times which makes emergency issues as easy as dropping it off to get in line for next available inspections. Getting back my vehicles fixed to spec is assuring and speaks to the quality services.

Ernie's did some brake work for us. We have had them do our repairs off and on for 20+ years. The longtime owner recently retired and they have a new owner now. We hope they will stay good like the former owners.

Amazing service!! Was able to be squeezed in early in the morning for an inspection. Showed my video of the noise coming from my vehicle. Mechanic checked twice and nothing that was immediate problems or any at all. He could’ve been dishonest and gave me an imaginary issue with my vehicle, and taken advantage of specially with the video I showed. But I wasn’t and I also wasn’t charged for the inspection either! It’s very rare nowadays to find a HONEST, trustworthy repair shop. Thank you men for all that you do!!

Had my car towed to Ernie's on 12/4/23 because it was leaking coolant due to a bad thermostat. They had it fixed and ready to go in the early afternoon on 12/5/23. The overall cost of the repairs was extremely reasonable. I was very surprised at how fast and cheap they fixed it, especially considering I didn't have an appointment.

I highly recommend this company period i had a private mechanic, replace my battery and alternator on my pro master Van and it would run for a little while and then not start back period so we took it to the local Dealership on South Hamilton road and I have never been treated with such utter disrespect that I enconterd from their service team, after a $200 fake diagnosis, with no documentation or print out of diagnostic evaluation. they told me I needed a $1,000 alternator and a $1,000 installation. I had my truck towed (tow waived w/service) to ernies their inspection DID NOT NEED $2,000 ALTERNATER. Only had some loose wires only needed Tune up. Oil change, marker lights, driver window motor repair a couple other minor itens all less than $700 and most importantly treated with dignity and respect.

Do not come here if you’re a pretty lady they will try to swindle you out of so much money. My wife took her car here a couple weeks ago to get her a/c looked at and they magically found $5600 worth of repairs that needed done (more than the car itself is worth). We took it to a different shop that we usually go to and somehow the $5600 worth of repairs had fixed themselves and it only needs $700 in repairs. when i called to ask them about it, they hung up on me before i could even finish telling them the problem and sent me to voicemail two times in a row immediately after.

Probably the only honest mechanic in Columbus. I had a severe oil leak in my car after an oil change at a local quick oil change shop. The manager of the oil change place claimed that my car was old and that it wasn’t their fault. I initially took my car to a different shop for a diagnostic, and that shop claimed the oil cooler was broken, and quoted me $3700 to fix it. I was floored by this, because the online quote from the same shop was $500-650. After they refused to budge, I found Ernie’s who gave me a far more reasonable quote for the same repair. I had my car towed there, and got a call from Ernie’s almost immediately. Imagine my surprise when Ernie’s said that whoever had changed my oil had left the o ring off, and that’s why it was leaking oil. The first shop had missed this obvious issue, and proceeded to quote me an exorbitant amount for a repair my car didn’t need. Ernie’s fixed it and I picked my car up the same day. I have had no other problems. Total repair was $16. Unfortunately for Ernie’s they now have a customer for life. :) Save your time and come here first.

Some very nasty attitudes over the phone. Zero respect and blatant disregard for customer service. Overcharged for simple maintenance, calling around to other shops I got quoted the same repairs for much lower.

Had ac/heater work done paid a hefty price but problem was not solved. When I tried to get this problem rectified Nate Fredrick's put his hands on me aggressively ( I'm a 62 yr old man) and told me to get off his property if I didn't he will call the police . I've done business with Bill the original owners for 5 years. I asked for the corporate phone number and was told there isn't one . If corporate reads this I hope they reach out to me . This is not how managers treat the customers.

My daughter trusted Ernies Automotive services because someone referred her. First request was to do the diagnostic because she wasn't sure what the issue was besides the over heating and loud noise.it was suggested to her to fix power stirring, windshield wippers, tighten bolts ,cover an exposed holes .she was notified within 24hr .her vehicle was ready totaling $1,500 she paid. After picking the vehicle up drove less then 4miles home the car was overheating again.it was towed back to the shop . They called her saying she needed a radiator. bottom line she originally ask for a diagnostic for overheating and loud noise. Another $800 was requested for a radiator but was told it could be other heating issues. Keep in mind she originally asked for a diagnostic.

I’d definitely recommend this business. Staff are very kind and helpful. I went in not knowing what to expect and felt respected through the process. They were very thorough in diagnosing the various problems with my car. They walked me through in understanding the seriousness of various issues and what was most urgent to address. When it turned out that even after they had spent so much time with me explaining everything I wouldn’t be able to afford repairs at the moment, their kind demeanor never changed.
