Once again my experience with Frank and crew at Escondido Auto Tech was a great experience. I needed front brakes and they did the job with OEM parts in under 3 hours. Always a professional group at this location. Both my children take their vehicles here!

Escondido Auto Tech is the best!! They do a comprehensive job when analyzing problems and provide a detailed explanation of the options and possible solutions. They helped identify and remove a large rat's nest hidden deep in the engine area of my car when we started noticing a bad smell - great job! They also always proactively check for other potential issues with the car while it is being serviced to identify potential upcoming issues. They previously helped solve an issue with a faulty door lock sensor. The local Honda dealership gave me the runaround and were rude to me when I tried to get it corrected - it was the third such failure with the car! I've seen other published complaints about the same issue, but they wanted me to charge me a very large fee to analyze and fix it. I brought it to Escondido Auto Tech and they corrected the issue by simply adding a magnet to the door area...free of charge!! These guys are the best!

I brought my 2014 F-150 in for the 150,000 mile service. As usual the work was done on time and at the estimated cost. Always a great experience at Escondido Auto Tech.

Just got my rear window mechanism fixed by EAT in a quick and efficient manner. The window went down but would not go back up because the regulator had failed. They diagnosed the problem quickly, got the part and installed it within a few hours. I go to EAT because I trust they will give me the straight story and not gouge for unnecessary parts/service. Kudos to a great team!

Sent my 71 year old mom over here to this shop. We knew it was an alternator that had to be replaced. I didn't have the time, on labor day, or the energy to do this. This car is an 07 Toyota Corolla. You charged her 700.00, I know how much the part cost, and of course you threw in a diagnostic charge, and the way inflated labor cost. She is on a fixed income. All those good reviews are not a reflection of your practice. Stop the nonsense 😒

We bring our cars to Escondido Auto Tech because our experience has always included excellent communication and efficient service. Our trip this past Thursday for our Mazda CX-5's 100,000 mile service was no exception. With the help of Escondido Auto Tech, we're confident the next 100,000 miles will be travelled just as smoothly.

First visit to E.A.T was to replace two leaking rear shocks on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Job completed with OEM parts at a fair price in a couple of hours. Second visit was to do a 100k service. Frank read the service history I bought in, noted what had already been done and quoted for the service. As any good outfit should they also did an inspection on the whole car and found a couple of things that needed attention. Frank revised the quote, and completed all the work that day. Top service and super professional, Frank's smile goes all the way up to number eleven, as for the crew, well, as Tina Turner would have said, "Simply the Best".

With an upcoming long road trip I went to EAT to ensure my Prius was road ready. They took care of me, upgraded my brake system and still got me out the door in good order. EAT continues to be my "go to" for all things automotive.

I Googled Best Toyota mechanics in Escondido and Auto Tech popped up in the Top 5. Well earned! Frank, owner or representative, not sure, but he is great. Love his flat top hairstyle. Man could not be nicer or more professional. Great sense of humor. Great work on my high mileage truck. I wasn’t informed or enticed with a discount for 1st time customers, but l was more than pleasantly surprised when l saw that deduction/discount on my bill. Place is super clean and neat, too.

Frank and George are always thorough with their explanations of what's going on with our vehicles. They take very good care and repair them to make sure the automobiles are running great and are safe. This shop is trustworthy and have very comfortable chairs to wait for your truck or suv or car.

Upfront and fair pricing; honest, friendly and fast full-service shop. Had a couple bad TPM sensors they diagnosed aside from other maintenance and I mentioned that I'd had them installed at one of the big tire stores. They recommended that I check the warranty at the tire store first since it might be covered already rather than just replacing and charging me for the extra work. It's one of those old-school, greeted at the door, and a handshake on the price type businesses that are hard to come by anymore.

Another mechanic couldn't figure out the issue with my Ford Edge. Frank and his crew figured out that I needed engine mounts for a sagging engine. This has already extended the life of my tired, old Ford Edge, which is on its last leg. I have been coming to Frank's shop for years, and he has never disappointed with his customer service and great track record. He's given me honest advice over the years and quality repairs every time. Highly recommend this shop!

I highly recommend going to Euro Auto Tech & Smog in La Mesa. 7633 El Cajon Blvd #217, La Mesa 91942 I am leaving a one-star review based on my personal experience. While the mechanic appeared knowledgeable and said he was being upfront, the overall interaction left me feeling overwhelmed and pressured rather than clearly informed. I was presented with a long list of issues and a very expensive estimate, without a clear breakdown of what was actually urgent versus what could wait. The way the information was delivered made the situation feel more stressful than necessary, especially since I was already on a tight budget. After talking it through with my boyfriend and getting a second opinion at another shop outside of Escondido, I learned that the pricing was significantly higher than necessary and that several items were not immediately critical. The second shop explained things calmly, prioritized safety for my upcoming long drive, and charged far less. This experience made me realize that while a shop can have good reviews locally, that doesn’t always mean customers are aware when they’re being overcharged or not given full context. I don’t believe there was intentional dishonesty, but I do believe the lack of clear prioritization and the high pricing are reasons to be cautious. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs here.
