(FYI - this was from 2020) I had a flat tire and took to European Motor Werks repair shop in downtown SF. They asked me for $20 after patching up my tire. I drive a Tesla. I felt soooo bad, and offered to pay $50. They told me $10 was the most I could give as a tip. But what makes this really incredible was that I had just left a dishonest dentist before I got the flat tire. Endodontic Arts of SF on Geary Blvd had just scared me into doing two root canals on the same tooth. Took a total of $2300 from me. Insurance only covered 900. I'm still stunned because I come from a third world country , where you expect the tire repair guys to behave like the shady Dr Schuster fellow. While you expect the dentists and surgeons to show the type of integrity shown by European Motor Werks .

The check engine light came on in my car so I checked the code at home with my fault code reader. It was more work than I cared to take on so I dropped it by EMW since I had a good experience with the at their prior location. Eddie and team had me in and out and no more check engine light. Honest and efficient. Don’t mind the slightly rough neighborhood, once you pull up the driveway into the shop, it is a different world!

I've been going to European Motor Works for years. My car is a 2002 Mercedes convertible (inherited from my parents) that has been giving me trouble constantly...from a broken convertible hood to faulty computer system to engine issues. Eddie at EMW is honest, reliable, knowledgeable and offers a fair price. Highly recommend this place for your car!

This shop is definitely a diamond in the rough. Please do not judge them based on location and their immediate surroundings. Times have changed and it changed around their location. They are going to move so that we can feel more relaxed and be comfortable in the environment where our car(s) are being repaired. Yes, he is doing that especially for us. If you use cash, he can likely give you a discount on service(s). Overall, he seems very honest; no condescending and patient.

Eddie and Josh really know what they are doing. They run a tight ship and little to nothing slips under there radar. They have taken care of my BMW e46 M3 with the kind of love only a mother would give there child, seriously. They have also been kind enough to help me out with other vehicles. They are a strong team with years of knowledge and work ethic that is sorely lacking in most of today's shops. Guys you deserve the review you do solid work and I look forward to seeing you soon, hopefully for a routine inspection, not something that's broken. :)

I hate BMW dealers and I always wanted somebody who can actually remember my car and tell me exactly what is needed rather than sell a hundred things. Josh and Eddie have been great and have promptly attended to my car and advised me on what needs immediate attention and what can wait. I wish I could give Euro Motor Works 10 stars! Dealing with hi&run accident is so frustrating. Their account manager Jessica went the extra mile to communicate with insurance company for me and kept me updated on each steps. She is very experienced and skilled to negotiate with insurance to protect my right. At the end, they even fixed some old scratch es/repairs and send my car to detailed clean. I felt so thankful for those genuine staffs at Euro Motor Works. I recommend this honest business to anyone!

I can’t say enough good things about Eddy, Josh and their team. They’ve helped me for 4 years and through 2 different cars, always going the extra mile to get the problem fixed quickly and at the best deal. It’s so hard to find a good, honest mechanic (especially one for foreign cars) and when you find them, hold on! I recently moved away from the city and after some terrible experiences with other mechanics, I now make the trip to SF to this team because I know and trust that they’ll help me in such an honest way.

Eddie and Josh are by far the best! I've been having my vehicle serviced at European Motor Works since they opened and they always get the job done in a timely manner, inform you of needed work prior to performing it and they never apply pressure to have a service performed. There have been a couple times when either Josh or Eddie stayed after closing because I was running late to pick up my vehicle. They are EXCEPTIONAL! !!!!

We had car trouble while on a road to San Francisco over a holiday weekend. The wonderful owner/manager of this shop was able to help us on a holiday to get our car diagnosed and fixed up. We were able to get back on the road without changing our plans and and not breaking the bank! The people here are professional and knowledgeable and had great expertise. They were also able to explain our car's issue to two 20s yo ladies, which is very impressive! I would highly recommend going here for any car troubles! Thank you for the wonderful service !

I went for a taillight a simple taillight repair and they got the job done. Communication was lacky, but they went the extra mile to pick me up from my house after the job was done (although they hesitated once I was already at my house). The biggest drawback is that I got my check engine light on AFTER I got the repairs done, and when asked if they could take a look they made it seem it was my fault and they couldn't work on my car anymore. Extremely unprofessional. Now I'm dealing with more problems than the ones I originally went in with.

I’ve taken at least two cars here, a bmw and a mini. I have never had a bad experience. Josh and Eddie are super knowledgeable and always willing to work with you by honestly letting you know what has to get fixed and what can wait for another time. The prices are fair and more than competitive. They always have my vehicle ready when promised and they both are just real good people, which makes them a pleasure to deal with. I found European Motor Works online and took my Mercedes in because of the great reviews Josh and Eddie received. Now I can say I am one of those folks who give them a big thumbs up! I have been bringing my car to them for years now, and I have been very satisfied with their work. They are trustworthy and friendly and will take the time to explain to you what your car needs. Their rates are reasonable, too. I feel confident I will not be taken advantage of. I highly recommend.

Eddie and team were amazing! I brought my car in for a blown cylinder and they repaired in a timely manner and were very communicative throughout the process. I’ve had no issues since, runs like new! They also very thoughtfully checked in a few times after the repair to confirm that everything was running well which meant a lot.
