This place has some red flags, if my car issue wasn't as bad as it was I would have gone elsewhere. I scheduled an appointment over the weekend through their website, didn't get a confirmation from them before the requested time, called them, they said they're busy until Tuesday, I told them, okay I'll bring it in Tuesday Morning. I decided out of convenience I'd drop it off the night before. Got to the place 15 minutes before posted closing time. Lights were on at the front desk, garage lights were off. It seemed like maybe the mechanics left for the day and there'd just be a front desk person. I walk in, security alarm goes off. They left the doors completely unlocked, and left for the day before their posted time with no note on the door, nothing. I leave come and back in the morning 45 minutes after their posted opening time, same exact thing, no one is there door is unlocked, security alarm still blaring from previous night. I used their drop-off for out of business hours because I was in a hurry and I don't think my car is safe to drive. My confidence in this company is very low right now their building they don't even lock so someone could just walk in grab a set of keys and drive off with a car. The security alarm is either not properly hooked up or they don't care if they get robbed as the alarm should have been shut off the night before and most alarms require someone to personally go down and shut off the alarm. Update: after 5 calls to them they finally called me back, car was already being worked on without even a call to confirm price first. Price was okay wouldnt have expected much lower elsewhere. cars are not my forte so i couldn't really tell you if they did a good job. Guess you can find out by seeing if this is the last review i ever write.(bad joke)

I had had my car towed here after it broke down in Downtown MKE. I was pretty certain there was something seriously wrong from the way the car died and from the codes I pulled from my reader. Ben called me the next day to explain that before they could even get started, they would need to replace the battery and asked for clearance to do so. I told him to go ahead. The next day he informed me that after the battery replacement, the car ran great! no codes, no misfiring no check engine light. He explained that the battery was dead and / or defective, and this most likely caused sensors to trip and cause the problem. He charged me for the battery and $99 for the diagnostics and said if I the problem arose again, to just bring it in and they would run the diagnostics again free of charge. Would highly recommend Expert Car Care.

Very friendly and helpful staff and always available. Went there for my battery issue and walked out with so much knowledge. They shared the what, where why and how's to help me understand the best options for my vehicle. And-their prices are more than fair. I own a foreign (Acura) and feel secure taking my car there for any repairs.

I brought my car in for a brake noise. The staff I met were all very professional, helpful and friendly. They explained the problems and quoted pricing prior to starting any work. They finished my car quickly and had competitive pricing. I also liked that they didn't try to upsell me on some unnecessary repairs as most shops do with women. Extremely trustworthy, honest and efficient.

I have had the best service and attitude out of this garage! Finally people who can diagnose my vehicle's problems, fix them at a reasonable price, and treat me like I understand what they are talking about! (I understand all of it!) I have told many people about them, and several have tried Expert Car Care. They were just as satisfied as I am. If you cannot do the work on your car or truck yourself, take it to Expert Car Care.

I am working as an out of state contractor and I woke up to two slashed tires. Called these guys at 7 am. By 11 am my truck had been towed onsite and two new tires installed. The tire store was not doing deliveries until the afternoon so the owner personally drove to pick up the tires, to help me get back to work sooner. On top of this, he was extremely professional and provided an excellent price for the work. WOULD RECOMMEND

Went there because they are very close. Mistake. Came in for a check engine light. Fix that but give estimate on hitting the a racoon on the freeway damage. Made 1 invoice ???, best we could figure "ben" had calculater but couldnt come up with total for reapairs made. Best i came to around 700. Paid 1000 so they would order parts. Week later dropped off car. Parts still not in. Week later, they blocked my number. Searching for a legit repair shop to get repair. FYI, they are not a professional shop, more like a guy working out of his garage. Do not go if it not a one and done.

I had the worst experience at this place. Went there because of the good reviews on Google. Big Mistake. They had my car for 3 days to replace the water pump, I had the part and the coolant. When I go to pick my car up the guy didn't have change so he got to keep an extra couple of bucks. I leave to fill up my tank and my $30 of gas is on the ground. Immediately the deny it was their fault, maybe it wasn't, I have an old car and just from the banging it could have damaged my gas line. But Ben told me they didn't even have my car in the air, that was a lie because the bottom of my frame is bent. It was just lie after lie after lie. Also, they open and close when they feel like it. There is a lot more that happened but hard to explain. Just take my word for it and do not go there!

My shifter froze. I tried going to Hyundai, this was start of May 2021. They could not fix, ordered new computer, no release date. I called Expert; Ben was confident they could fix it. I dropped off car, paid $1200 down payment. Car was there 3 months. They called, said car fixed. I paid another $460, took car. Surprise, after 10 miles shifter froze again. They tried to order other parts. At the end of October, Ben told me the chip shop in California told him there might be another problem, told him to pull off the dashboard and "look for another problem." Really? I went in and asked for a refund. At first he gave me $360. Then, after two more visits, he decided best he could do was "split the cost with you." I got a total of $860 back, he kept $800, and he did not fix the car. He refused repeatedly to give a full refund. I figured I should maybe let him keep $400 for his time, but no, he had to split it. And the car is not fixed. I got a call from Hyundai. They got in a new computer customized for my car, will put it in tomorrow. And will charge me $2000+. So Ben gets to keep $800 for not fixing my car. Nice way to make money. He said shop in California would not refund him, that's why he kept half. How is that my fault? If he broke a wrench doing the job, or his supplier sent the wrong muffler, would he expect me to pay for it? I recommend you stay the heck away from this place.

Had to get my fuel pump fixed...for 3rd time in 2 years. First 2 times were at another garage. First...just normal age of vehicle. Second a year later under warranty. This time...my original mechanic could not find a problem. (They got it started AFTER pushing it into the garage) They couldn't diagnose a problem since it started. Broke down again 3 days later. Called Ben at Expert Car Care on a Saturday. He returned my call after hours on a weekend. Was courteous and knowledgeable of the issue. After contemplating whether to get it fixed a 3rd time under warranty or take to a new mechanic, I decided to give Expert Car Care a chance to earn my trust. Ben got back to me and confirmed the problem and gave me a reasonable quote. A bit higher than I expected...but this would be a GM factory part and not a cheap after market junk part which what I was originally getting. I'm pleased that I won't be waiting another 10 months for the same problem to occur since Expert Car Care gave me a proper fix with a reliable part. Thank you guys

I am so grateful1 that I went to Expert Car Care Inc! I had a 2003 Buick Century. I woke up to the power steering fluid completely empty and when I put more in, it all leaked out. I called 15 shops trying to get my car in, everyone was booked. I called Expert Car Care and Ben told me he can look at it today. That was all I needed to hear, I brought the car in. The next day I got a call from Ben and was told my car's sub frame has complete rotted out, and the car is not worth fixing let alone a death trap. Ben then offered me a Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer Edition (with all the bells and whistles ;) for a fraction of what he could have sold it for!!! He knew we needed a car and helped us out tremendously! He put a brand new battery in the truck, oil change, work was done on it, zero rust and in AMAZING condition! Truly greatul for Ben! He could have charged us for looking at the Buick but he didn't. He also could have just fixed it and not said anything, knowing how bad the car was. All I can say is that Ben is going to be my forever Mechanic, he is truly a stand up guy! I would tell anyone and everyone that they should go to him!

My car was supposed to take 3 to 4 days to repair, they kept it for 2 weeks, constantly increase in the price thousands of dollars, I miss so much work and pay so much in transportation fees just to get to work, and then when I ask again about the pricing, it increased $700 in just a few hours. They were even going as far as asking for partial payments before the car was even done. I'm never going back here again.

Did a tire alignment but my car is still pulling to the right. Went back to talk to them but they wouldn’t even test drive my car and refused to do anything about it. Don’t bring your car for an alignment here.

I dont often write reviews but I feel compelled about this place. about 2 years ago we used these folks for a brake job. I was told we need new rotors and pads. $1200! I got the job done anyway. I recently had issue with my brakes so I took it in to our new mechanic who I trust. Again I need new rotors and pads, turns out the "new" rotors from Expert Car Care were just resurfaced. My new mechanic said old ones were dangerously thin. Expert Car Care charged me for parts they didnt replace.

My new auto shop! I came here after a different shop purposely sabotaged my vehicle after a tune up. They were going to trick me into paying $765. Knowing my car, I decided that I needed a second opinion. I stumbled across this shop on Google and was very hesitant out of fear that this place would do the same thing. I had no choice but to have my car seen so I brought it to Expert Car Care. When I first walked into the shop the owner Ben greeted me, asked what was going on a reassured me that he would help figure out what was going on with my car. Fast forward to the best part, I was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car! (As I suspected). I was so grateful because this shop could have easily deceived me, as did the first shop but they were honest and I really appreciate that. They also saved me hundreds of dollars. Their prices are displayed so you know that they’re not pulling prices from the sky. Very nice, professional and honest. I recommend!

I was dreading taking my car in (on Black Friday of all days) but it was running rough and needed some love. Expert Car Care was one of very few places even open much less who answered the phone. After being quoted what I thought was a reasonable diagnostics fee I decided to pay these guys a visit. When I walked in I could tell immediately these were family friendly guys, one guy was finishing lunch and was hanging out with his daughter. (How precious)! Anyway skip to the point. I gave the guys my info and a brief description of what I thought was up and left my car in their care at about 1pm. By 2:45ish they had a full diagnostics for me and price to repair the issue (much less then I anticipated) I gave them the green light to fix my car. I got a call by 4pm my car was ready to go. After getting my car back I noticed they not only fixed my issues, but my car felt a little zippier. Not only would I go back to this place, but I’d be comfortable sending my mom and others here! Keep up the great job guys! It’s good to know we have a trustworthy and reasonable mechanic in our neck of the woods.

Horrible place to do business with. First off I needed an engine replacement so I went and paid for the service and for them to find me an engine took about 2 weeks to get finished. Came to pick the car up every light in the car was on. It was Friday and closing time so I took my car cause i was i. Desperate need of my vehicle I informed them and they said just bring it back Monday. The car didn’t last 2 days it was misfiring and stalling. Took the car back they said the timing jumped on the engine. So now back to square 1 after I paid 7800 all together. They had to return the engine and that was the longest period of time i had to wait for a car to get fixed it took them 10 months to get my car back to me. After giving me every excuse they could I would NEVER DO BUSINESS with these guys again.

Ben is an absolute hero of a mechanic, down to earth and knowledgeable, fair and respectful. I have gone here for years and would recommend him to anyone, especially women. Too many mechanics cut corners for women because we dont know as much and Ben has always consistently been patient in explaining everything and helping me. Prices are very fair for the level of service.

Took my truck here two years ago and was informed that the head gaskets were blown. They indicated the cost was $5000 and it would be done in a week. Well, two weeks led into 3 weeks. Finally they let me know that they were not able to fix the truck. Guess what? They still charged me the $5000 and returned the truck to me in worse shape than when i gave it to them. I don't recommend them to anyone. I'm sure this happens a lot more than reported. Buyer Beware!!!!!!
