I used the DIY car wash on a Saturday and was sure to push the stop button and my charge came @ 6 and some change. I did notice the 15 transaction charge, as it was pending. I thought the charge would eventually be the 6 + that I had used, but I was actually charged 15 for the wash. I contacted Family Car Wash and left a message. Allison called me back and actually took the extra charge off my account. Allison was very helpful, prompt and professional. I will definitely be going back to use the DIY machine.

I purchased the most expensive wash, and I think my car was dirtier when I was done with the automatic wash. There's no dryer fan, and my car dried with a white haze. *A year later - January 2022 - Tried it (the touchless) again. Still a terrible wash. Cold water, no dryer, the car did not get clean. I can't imagine getting out of the car there to dry it, the parking lot is a disaster.

Went several nights ago, mostly to get pollen washed off car. Used credit card, which was approved. Chose the $9 option. Door opened, I drove in and door closed behind, but nothing happened. No lights came on, and after a moment the door in front opened. I've called 2 times, left messages and phone number, but no call back...

I will say this as preface: The products offered work, and my pop up headlights nearly blinded me they were so shiny. I might go back. The downside, the place doesn't seem like it's been maintained or cleaned in years, none of the equipment works well, in it takes some effort to get it to work. The bays are so dirty and moldy that you'd expect to catch some exotic disease just from standing in one. This includes the nozzles that you have to hold to wash your car. The pressures were all very low, and the nozzle didn't fully shut off when you let go. With a little love and maintenance this would be my regular car wash, as it's convenient and the products work well, but in it's current condition it's more of a situational decision whether I go back.

Soooo yeah this is definitely a mediocre place to get your car wash , got home and went to dry it because this car wash has no dryers and it was still filthy!!! Like all the pressure washing behind it , didn’t see any soap come out so maybe that was why? Not sure but I wasted $12 (highest wash) and won’t be back.

Overall not bad but please someone make periodic checks on the equipment. There is always something broke, or a sprayer missing. Last time the line on the top was spilling all the soap on the side of my car. I'm glad it was power washed and got all the green stuff off but the equipment itself needs some love

This used to be one of my favorite places to wash my car. Within the past couple years many of the self serve bays are constantly non-functional and are out of order. Either the card reader doesn’t work or some of the car wash features don’t work. However, there is no notification they are out of order, so you pretty much have to test out each station until you find one that works. It seems the owners have no interest in investing money in this place and do not service this facility regularly.

If you need your car clean, then you may be satisfied with what this particular car wash has to offer. You can park your car right next to one of the vaccums, and won't feel far apart from it. The minimum time after paying is that of generous length. The Do It Yourself wash gives a reasonable time as well. When using the automatic wash, be mindful that it may not fully clean your car, but rather leave a few streaks. Also, if you're seeking to get change from bills, the coin dispenser will only give out tokens as oppose to quarters. It gets the job done, but not necessarily the most convenient.

I like going there to wash my car. The machines in each stall takes credit card along with quarters and tokens. However, I'm not really fond of the vacuums there. Not sure if they're just always full or worn out. But after trying to vacuum my car on a couple different occasions, throwing money into different vacuums during each visit. I always end up with the same outcome. So I ended up buying a wet/dry vac to do my car at home. It has been a while since I've tried the vacuums there, maybe they're fixed by now?? I'm only writing this with hopes that the owner or maintenance person sees this so they can look into it.

Automatic car wash looked a little dated....pulling in i was a little nervous, but it worked just fine for a touchless car wash. No issues once inside. Only a 3 star because the wash didn't get off most of the dead bugs on my windshield. Otherwise it was good. Accepted credit cards.

I'm from out of state and used to better wash facilities but this is just a poor, outdated facility. Like from the 90's. My $8 "deluxe" wash didn't even dry the car. Never again.

I put $10 in the automatic wash and noticed that all the lights were off. Machine did not refund the money. Called the business line and got to Alison. She said she'd send me a refund. Waited 2 weeks, still no refund. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I will never use this car wash again.

Place is run down. And only a few of the self wash stalls work. Automatic wash was sad, barely put any soap on the car before it rinsed it. Whole place needs a face lift and actual care put into the maintenance. I would recommend just closing it down. I can only pick 1 star, because I’d give it none if I could on this review.

I've been coming to this 'car wash' for a little over three years. Never been any improvements to the bays, they're quite literally disintegrating and have moss/mold everywhere. Vacuums work, trash cans are usually emptied and not overfilling maybe twice a week. The automated wash occasionally doesn't work, but you wouldn't know until you're already at the door/paying. The auto wash also rarely will rinse all the suds off your vehicle .The parking lot is a disaster, wouldn't recommend coming in here with a lowered vehicle. That all being said, the least expensive 'wash' is more like a rinse with some bubbles. No wash has a dry option, unless you want to attempt to use the air dryer that's located in only one bay, and it *may* work. The wash bays are also slightly nightmarish, the buttons never work and you'll automatically be charged $25, not the minimum "$5", even if the ticker says "$8" at the press of the stop and end buttons. Use this place at your own risk, highly not recommended if you're looking to sit and enjoy cleaning your car. The change machine rarely works. Also, watch out for the old man, hes pretty audible about how much he lacks liking his job while he's cleaning the lot.

No soap was ever dispensed. Car came out pretty much as it went in. Don’t waste your money.

I was hesitant to come here because of the horrible reviews, but I'm glad I took the chance. I just needed to hose down my rental having driven in from a snowy, muddy day in Vermont. I didn't dare to use my credit card, so I'm glad it took quarters. $4 for 5min. It wasn't high pressure by any means, but it was enough.

The automated car wash is a disappointment. Better off leaving your car in the rain for free. Wash does not remove dirt to any acceptable level.

An $8 car wash cost me $15. I got home and checked my account and was robbed of $7. Pushed stop, pushed end. Nothing would stop it. Don't use your ATM card there.

BEWARE: Prices round to whole dollars. Ending at $5.50 will round up to $6. CT sales taxes will be added. The end button and stop button are different. Hit end to end your transaction. It blends in with th card reader and all the way at the opposite side of the other buttons. The low pressure wax is just low pressure water (at least from the stall that I used). There was no scent nor texture difference from water when I touched it. I think it's there to just use up your time. Tips: The triple foam comes out of the smaller hand nozzle and it is very inconsistent. It sputters sometimes. Use the wheel cleaner first so it has time to work on your wheels. The $15 is an authorization charge! It should show up as pending on your account but the charge doesn't completely go through untill it is posted on to your account. Edit: Confirmed the $15 was an authorization charge. Just make sure you hit end on the machine to complete the transaction.

so I’ve been using this car wash for a few months. there’s a big sign near the debit reader that says if you do not stop service, you’ll be charged the maximum. I would prefer to pay cash, but there’s no cash option. They make it very clear that if you do not hit stop, you will be charged the maximum. Because it’s so clear. I’m always absolutely certain that I hit the stop button and I don’t leave until I see the message. Thank you for your service. I just checked my credit card statement and found a charge of $31.91 on August 22. I absolutely did not authorize a $31 charge. Again because it’s listed so clearly I always make sure to hit the stop button and I don’t walk away until it says thank you. Again I’d much rather pay cash. The fact that they don’t take cash is kind of sus. it really sucks because now I need to find a new place to wash my car
