I brought my car in for an issue with the brakes (loud metal scraping noise). I called and they took me the next day, texted within a few hours with diagnosis, costs, and asking permission to move forward with repairs. They had my car done by mid-afternoon, I couldn’t have asked for more. I felt the prices were fair too. I’ll definitely be back!

I used to live less than a mile from Finest and for 10 years they were my go to. In 2015 I moved 45 miles away… it’s a hike and sometimes a drag (or a tow) but they are still my go to. Thank you Mike and crew for always doing your finest work.

We moved to providence a little over a year ago. Always scary trying to find new auto repair places you can trust to do good work at a good value. I have had my auto repair shop on Long Island for almost 40 years. My daughter goes to school in providence. My fear of her getting stuck far away from me happened.I googled repair shops in providence and found Finest Auto repair. I’ll get right to the point. Peter made me feel 100% comfortable. He was straight up, knowledgeable with the diagnostics and could not be any kinder than he was. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service. Was never straight up and would talk over your head. Brought my car in & they told me it was going to be a three hour job. Had to call every day to find out what the status was. 3 days later they released the car to me still not fixed, actually runs worse than when I dropped it off. Overcharged and very unsatisfied. When I called back to tell them that the problem was not fixed, they gave me another song and dance, and came up with another quote that was 5x the price I was charged initially. NEVER AGAIN with “Finest”.

I was very happy with my experience here. The mechanics were extremely knowledgeable about my vehicle issues and the pricing was very fair. I had my tires replaced and an oil change and I was in and out very quickly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great- locally run mechanics shop that doesn’t cost a small fortune and doesn’t make you wait all day for a service. My family will be coming back for years to come.

But with Pete and his team that anxiety does not arise because their service and quality of service is terrific. They care about their customers and ensure you are satisfied. I have gone to Finest Auto Repair for many years now and have always been treated with respect and given straightforward answers, as well as advice on what to replace and what can wait to be fixed. They have taken great care of my vehicle for many years. Taking one of my previous vehicles and brought it back from a bad accident years ago. They have never done any work without my say so. And after moving out of Rhode Island to Massachusetts, they have helped me repair my car in a pinch for the re-inspection. I can’t thank the staff enough for all their hard effort’s.

I feel disappointed because I had gone there highly referred by someone at State Auto Body because they actually had done a beautiful job on my car after an accident! I went there, with my car it had issues of stopping in the middle of driving! Not only my car was there for days, after paying almost $400, took the car home, the car couldn’t even make it 11 minutes away before the issue happened again, turn the car back, was there for days again, finally I’m told that someone was going to take a ride with me and see the issue, instead of actually giving me one, I was told that nothing was wrong with the car that” IT MIGHT BE HUNTED)” since they couldn’t figure out what the issue was! I was able to drive the car to Elite Auto Repair, Inc. where they are actually awesome, know what they are doing! They diagnosed, went over with me because they the machine has marked all the reds and sent to me in my email and I had access to my car and diagnosis, I got my car fixed costing about the same charge Peter from The Finest Auto Company had charged me and the car never had any issues since then! I’m not saying they are bad people, I’m just wondering if they might prioritize which car to work better on or to actually even touch touch and evaluate! I really don’t think they even ever looked on that car! Be careful! Would you?? Happy new year!!

Conveniently located next to my work, I’m able to drop my car off as early as 7am! I get my oil changes here for a reasonable price. The staff has always been kind and informative. They also helped save me from a battery issue I wasn’t aware of last year. Thanks, Finest and thank you to Peter!

Great customer service. I called and they got my car in for an inspection the very next day. I ended up needing a few things replaced and added: new windshield wipers - which they added for me - a front license plate and updated stickers for that plate. I figured the stickers would severely delay the whole inspection process by days, but at Finest Auto, staff person Peter recommended I go to AAA (im a member) as they can print stickers sometimes day-of. Peter saved me loads of time and potential fines. He even waived the labor fee for installing my front plate! Very appreciative and very satisfied.
