Fix Auto La Mesa did an amazing job on my 4Runner after a car crash incident. I went to them because I had gone to a different location who told me they would not even schedule my car until a little over two weeks later. I looked around and called this location and Luis Esquer was very knowledgeable and even told me I should leave my car because they did not know if there was something wrong with the suspension and the headlight was obviously not working, something the other location did jot even mention. Anyways, I had a date when everything would be done and thankfully they were done before and did an amazing job, you can’t even tell my car was hit at all. I did have to go back to get a minor adjustment done but it inly took them about 15 minutes. They kept updating me by automated text and Luis was constantly communicating what was happening and if they needed extra fixes. Of course my insurance paid and I had to pay my deductible because the person that hit me doesn’t have insurance, I have AAA and I can tell you they aren’t the greatest and I plan on leaving them soon for how bad and slow their customer service was. But that another review lol. I recommend this place for their knowledge, for their amazing customer service and their great work! Don’t call around, just go there and ask for Luis! Tell him Christina with the 4Runner recommended him. :)

I had an accident in October 2023 and chose Fix Auto La Mesa based on their good reviews. Luis Esquer, my service advisor, was initially very attentive. However, as repairs progressed, numerous issues arose. My car, primarily damaged at the front, inexplicably had scratches all over, including on the custom-painted calipers. The shop was cluttered, likely causing the additional damage. When I questioned Luis, he dismissed my concerns and required proof of the scratches, which I provided through photos. Despite initially promising to address these issues, Luis informed me that my custom calipers would not be covered by insurance due to their aftermarket nature, and he refused to correct this at the shop's expense. Additionally, Luis agreed to add an aftermarket front lip, which he claimed insurance had approved. However, upon picking up the car, I was abruptly informed I had to pay an additional $1700 as insurance had not covered it. Upon receiving my car, the quality of repairs was subpar—paint was hazy and not smooth, and new scratches appeared on various parts of the vehicle. I found parts missing and the interior work was shoddy. Mechanically, I immediately noticed excessive engine noise and a loose steering wheel. An independent mechanic later discovered that these were due to poorly executed repairs including a dangerously loose bolt on the steering shaft, a misaligned ABS module, and other issues. Luis was often unresponsive or dismissive of my repeated concerns. I ended up addressing several issues myself, including tightening a bolt that fixed a clicking shifter which Luis had insisted had "no adjustments." Even after multiple follow-ups and returning the car for corrections, many problems persisted or were inadequately addressed. Ultimately, after months of frustration and poor communication, along with additional costs both in time and money, I advise against using Fix Auto La Mesa. Their handling of my car repair was not only unprofessional but also unsafe, leaving me to deal with ongoing issues even after the repairs were declared complete. Beware of engaging with this shop and consider other options for your vehicle repairs. UPDATES: One and half years later, I had a coolant leak, took it to the dealer and found out it was leaking from upper hose. Dealer denied warranty work because fixauto used the incorrect parts. The radiator they used was thinner and fittings was smaller than original one, so what they did was slit the hose and use worm clamp to secure it down. And it failed after one and half years. Dealer advised to replace the radiator and all the hoses for 3000. I had to call insurance and didn’t even bother talking to them knowing the sloppy job that they did.

Such an extremely kind and knowledgeable shop. My bumper needed repairs, and as an owner of a 16 year old vehicle I was told by numerous places to "check junkyards lol". Jeff took a look at my issue and said he could handle it. I picked up my car and was on the verge of tears, he got it back to factory finish in 3 days. Jr. Is a true professional, he made this process as easy as it could be. He did my estimate quickly and let me know when to drop my car off for repairs. Brought my wife’s 2022 KIA EXP Nightfall Edition Telluride in, per Insurance Company recommendation for repair from an hit and run. Jeff Borja was courteous and professional from initial greeting to final return of our immaculate SUV. We were updated daily on repair process via text without prompt.David and staff went over final inspection and details of the lifetime warranty on paint. The detail work on our vehicle was fantastic and the wife was ecstatic with the final product.
