Yesterday I happened to witness a woman accidentally tear off the skid plate on her SUV from a curb stopper in front of Noodles & Co. in San Marcos. After hearing the horrendous sound I saw a couple of guys immediately jump to her aid so I thought no need to assist. After placing my order I step back outside and the women was now alone with two kids desparately trying to get a hold of her husband with no help in sight. I got the jack out of my car and start raising the front end to attempt to push the skid plate back into place. Plenty of people walked by without even bothering. SPOILER ALERT: I know next to nothing about cars but I was at least trying. I was just the guy who happened to have a shiny new jack and tire iron that saw it happen and felt morally obligated to assist. Truth be told I wasnt even sure I was doing it right and was a little concerned that I was going to damage her car further. That's when the CEO of CID Auto Body & Paint showed up and jumped in to help her (and me) without hesitation. He was dressed really nice in slacks, button up, and nice dress shoes but he didn't even hesitate before crawling around on the ground and getting his clothes and hands dirty. He obviously had plans to be somewhere else doing something else but he stayed until the skid plate was sufficiently neutralized from additional damage and would at least get her home or to the nearest body shop. After he was all done he mentioned that he had an auto body shop and gave her a card. There was never any pressure or quid pro quo like "I will help you out now but you have to take it to my shop immediately". It was more like calming her down on how bad the damage was and repair cost from someone in the know with credentials to prove it. The husband showed up right as we were wrapping up and thanked us profusely. Frankie, the CEO, didn't stop there. He removed the jack and carried it over to my car and helped me put away the jack and tire iron then he introduced himself to me as the CEO and gave me his card. I just thought to myself if he is willing to do this for complete strangers and on his personal time outside of the office, I can only imagine how he treats his actual customers and what lengths he goes to help them with their auto body and painting challenges. Needing auto body work isn't something you ever hope for or even plan for. It's more of a trauma you experience coupled by having to quickly find a company you can trust only adds to the trauma. Thankfully, I have already found the right company now I just hope I will never need them. Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity Frankie.

I've had my Mustang for 16 years. The car was the 40th Year Anniversary model of the Mustang so I did my best to take care of her. Yes, my car is a her. She is beautiful and definitely has an attitude. I stopped driving her when she hit 95K because I didn't want to go over 100K. She sat in my garage and I would start her up from time to time. I even thought about selling her but she is hard to break up with because she still runs like dream. Smooth and fast. I decided after I retired, yes Im an old guy, to see if I could do some modifications on the car. I kept seeing this new color gray the new cars were sporting and it looked great. I had to go to a car dealership to get this particular gray color code. I looked around and requested quotes from several auto body shops in my area. I had several offers to paint my car but I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it done. I received a quote from CID's Auto Body and was impressed by the quote given to me. Now I'm the type of guy who likes things done correctly the first time. I wanted the entire car painted inside and out. I wanted the engine compartment, door jams, trunk, side panels, etc, etc, painted professionally. I met with Johnathan who assured me he could definitely match the color I requested and paint the entire car for a very reasonable price. The price quoted was very reasonable. I actually thought the price was to reasonable. I figured after the company got my car they would fluff the price. Johnathan throughout the whole process maintained the price he gave me. Wow, a company that stands by their word. It's great to see there are companies out there that still believe the customer is right. CID's is that type of company. An O.G. in the business. I gave Johnathan my car and kept my fingers crossed. Johnathan kept me informed throughout the whole process. I have numerous pictures of the car being dismantled and painted piece by piece. I was truly impressed. The paint job also came with a lengthy warranty. The day I picked up my car I was in amazement. She was beautiful. The paint job was awesome. The shine and the color were perfect. I later found out that Johnathan's father, Fernando, painted my car. This guy can burn. My car truly looked amazing. It brought a tear to my eyes but then I realized the area where I was standing was a little Dusty and that is why I teared up. Dust will do that to you sometimes . I was so pleased with the job CID's Auto Body did for me. I've had so many offers to buy the car but my girl isn't for sale. If you want outstanding work and professional service you need to go to CID's. This place will take care of you. Thank you Johnathan and Fernando the G, for doing such an awesome job. You definitely have a customer for life.

A friend recommended Fix Auto in Oceanside, but I found this shop 4 minutes from my house. Interestingly, there is a Maaco auto shop down the street (Maaco guarantees the lowest price). However, after being greeted by Jose, explaining to him that I'd prefer to not use my insurance, and obtaining a quote pretty close to my price range, I felt comfortable my car would be in good hands. I checked reviews prior to going to any service & this shop's reviews are high. I was well informed during every step of the process. There was a very reasonable delay due to excessive amounts of rain, but I was advised and had no problem with the minimal wait. Since I live so close, Jose arranged transportation for me after drop off & when my car was ready for pick up. Any customer would appreciate those little extras! If I had one critique, it would be that since the paint on my hood, fender & door had to be blended to match, it would've meant the world to me had they painted the 2 speck sized chips on my door edge (visible from the outside). Overall, visually, my car looks great! I haven't had time to examine the repair or drive it far since I got it back, but from what I see, this shop does quality work. I will gladly recommend Fix Auto.

My experience with CID was EXCELLENT! True family-run business that puts QUALITY and CUSTOMER CARE first. They gave me an honest estimate, worked very well with my insurance, and performed AMAZING work on my Mustang repair and paint. Their attention-to-detail on paint is the best I’ve ever seen…true craftsmen…best-in-the-business…hands-down. They basically made my 2005 Mustang look new! Special call-out to Shelby and Johnny. I appreciated their willingness to negotiate and work through any issues or questions throughout the process. Unlike so many other places, they make customer care a real priority.
