These guys were great! I just took my car in for a check up and precautionary check in and they let me know everything that was up with car, and told me with full honesty what needed to be done and what could be put off which I really appreciate. Mike and Andrew were amazing from Day 1. I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Oldie, which literally needed a fine and lengthy tune-up to run without leaks, overheating or crazy noises. Estimate for repair was high given the scale of the repairs but it was close to what the final bill was at the end. The price seemed reasonable for the amount of work the Jeep needed AND their Jeep technician (they have one in house that worked at JEEP) worked wonders on my Oldie! Thank you for such great and amazing service! Will go back and recommend you guys!

If I could choose less stars I would. Andrew how I believe is the owner has the worst customer service when it can to the issue where my wheel almost fell off at highway speeds. His company was contacted to repair an issue the tire shop damaged my truck. They said they replaced the lug studs. Literally less than a month later the tire was coming off. Then Andrew proceeded to be rude and attempted to blame me for asking him to pay my shop that actually fixed my truck. This company is a fraud and a scam and people need to know of their horrible customer service. The truck was finally repaired at Andrews expense, however when he attempted to attack me like I did something wrong was completely unacceptable.

I had a very good time bringing my car in for inspection of the braking system and differential fluid. This was in preparation for a long drive to SoCal. In addition the mechanic inspected my tires, which were not very good. However they did not try to sell me a set of Tires, which is what the first repair shop tried to do. I plan to buy them in OR to avoid tax.

The customer service is top tier. If there’s such thing as an honest mechanic, these guys seem to be it. Very knowledgeable, very thorough and they did not try to sell me on a bunch of services I didn’t need. Reasonably priced and way less than the dealership. They also had a food bank drive going for a slight discount on service! Very caring people. Thanks guys! We will be back for sure.

For the last several years, I have trusted Andy and his team to do the maintenance on my cars. So, when my ‘18 Corvette Grand Sport when needed some engine work done, I took it to Flat Black Auto because I knew it’d be done right. The shop is exceptionally well-equipped and I know they have the skills to do any job I bring them. We discussed the anticipated work to be done, a cost estimate as well as an estimated time frame in which the car would be ready. In this case, without getting in to all the details, Andy replaced my cam, lifters and spark plugs. Andy and Michael provided me with a detailed invoice and explained it thoroughly. I’m pleased, but not surprised, to say the car runs excellent. It runs much smoother and has the performance like the day I picked up from the dealer. Thanks Andy!

Super kind, understanding, and respectful! I came in thinking there was something wrong with my car’s fuse system, because the heat wouldn’t turn up. It ended up being that my car’s entire computer chip system needed replacing, which would be $2100 for ordering the part from Toyota alone. When they told me the number, I genuinely laughed out loud and said “That’s not happening”. They gave me a few other options such as writing down the part number in case I wanted to find a second-hand part myself, and manually turned the temperature up in my car for no extra cost so that I wouldn’t be freezing this winter. $2100 for just the part is new car money, but their understanding & professional demeanors were absolutely priceless! Also, free wifi & very clean bathroom!

After inquiring about exhaust manifold service with a couple shops I’d been to in the past with no desire to take the job, a couple friends in the automotive industry recommended Flat Black. Booking an appointment was incredibly easy online, communication from the shop was prompt, friendly, and informative, and they were able to complete the job at a lower cost than they initially anticipated. Final cost was much lower than I expected after doing some looking around on forums. I’ve had both of my cars worked on a few times by Flat Black over the years. Been happy with the service each time. Recently had a small coolant leak discovered by a dealership while doing a recall fix, and they wanted to replace half the cooling system. I really appreciate that Flat Black was happy to recommend and do the simple (and cheap) fix that was all that was necessary.
