I came here a few times, first seemed honest but is obviously not. They tell me I have a 3,400$ repair due to three hoses and a valve… and I knew that wasn’t right because I could get an engine rebuilt for that. I took the car to a second mechanic, and is charging me 200$ to complete all the work, with parts. This location just lost business due to their dishonest and over priced scams.

I have been taking my cars to Fox Auto for about 12 years. They have provided professional, honest, and quick service every time. Jackie goes above and beyond to help me and give me a reasonable quote. Just a few days ago, she called the insurance company and had some of my costs covered. I appreciate a business that I can trust and does their best.

Fantastic treatment of their customers! Super friendly. Went above and beyond to set me up with a rental car while mine was being worked on. A great family-owned, but professional-grade company that definitely surpassed all expectations, given my prior interactions with auto repair companies. This is actually my first time giving ANY company an online rating. Highly recommend!

Came here since google shows it has great reviews. I walked in and waited 15 for anyone to speak with me even though it was empty. It absolutely stunk in there like someone blew up the toilet and it leaked into the waiting area. Now for the car service, I drive a Subaru and had a few problems with the A/C, needed a new belt, needed new brakes pads, and had a few filters that needed to be replaced. They quoted me an insane price of $900 for just the A/C valve, a belt, 2 filters. Mentioned they wouldn’t replace just the brake pads and I needed rotors too. They then mentioned that they don’t do regular rotors and break pads that they only did ceramic ones like the factory ones are trash. Said it would be another $900 for the breaks to be done. I ended up just getting the filters done at this place since I thought everything else was too expensive. They then proceeded to charge the A/C even though I told them it had been done already and that wasn’t the problem. Would recommend visiting another place before coming to this one.

For years I have come to rely on their expertise, honesty and exceptional customer service. Now that I do not have any family around for even some simple assistance, Jackie and the staff are most responsive to all of my requests. They have earned my trust and sincere appreciation for the outstanding service from getting me a ride to work, and the comprehensive maintenance on my car. I sincerely appreciate the service, kindness and respectfulness from everyone at Fox Auto.

Fox does excellent work, has incredible customer service, and communicates in a timely and clear manner. I also can trust them and that's the most important thing with auto care. They recently saved us so much money by helping us realize that we could get the work we needed done for free under warranty at Honda and we saved almost $4,000. We get all our auto repairs done at Fox and have for years. They are the best.

I went to Fox for the AAA complimentary auto checkup. The owner/manager was nice enough to give me a ride while and after the check up was done, since my job site wasn't too far away. I received the detailed estimates and results of the checkup by email, which I liked. I returned the following week for a maintenance job which only lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. There were always snacks available, which I was welcome to take. Staff and manager were friendly and easy to talk to. It would be great if the property /building manager(s) would have signs that posted business names, since I had trouble finding Fox Auto the first day, even with Siri.

Please read the whole story if you consider this shop for your car. I went there for my Mercedes C300 because they looked great in Google review. It may not be applied to all people. but they are basically ridiculous and mislead certain customers seriously. Be careful. My 6 year old car engine light was on in sudden, and I looked for a local mechanic since my warranty was expired. I called this mechanic and asked if they could handle engine issues for Mercedes in general. The guy on the phone confidently said YES. I trusted him. He showed up their German computer based diagnostic system and performed it to my car, and said it was crankcase ventilation malfunction. The guy at the front desk told me clearly this issue with my mileage and model year would be covered by manufacturer warranty specifically under emission warranty executed by State of California. I told him I did not want to make another travel and scheduling, and told him I willed to pay the cost to fix it here if it made sense. He tried to pass the topic for some reason by unclearly telling me ballpark of the cost (he said "like $1300 or something") and asked me the reason why I wanted to spend money that could be covered by warranty, which literally made me trust them and made me go to a dealership. They ended up not fixing any of my core issue but said they found other minor issue that I had not even aware of, which costed about $800. I thought they saved a lot of my money that could cost for the engine issue, so it was worth to take it and paid $800 to fix it, which might have not been even needed. As they guided me, I called Mercedes dealership, schedule another appointment for this and made another travel to be there and spent almost half day to deal with this. As a result, the Mercedes dealership basically said crankcase ventilation malfunction IS NOT COVERED BY EMISSION WARRANTY AND NOT EVEN CLOSE. And it costed over $4000 to fix it at the dealership. I decided to fix this issue here otherwise I had to drive my car with the engine light on over 80 miles to go back and forth between home and the cheating mechanic and my office and Mercedes dealership, which could cause more issue they said. Here I wonder how the guy at the front desk in Fox Auto Care was so sure and confident of his statement to me. I assume either they were not capable of fixing it so at least they tried to make some money out of my visit, or he honestly told me a wrong information that wasted my time, money, effort, and trustworthy. I usually try not to write bad feedback to small business because it impacts their biz. But SERIOUSLY this shop is not worth to be there for customers who are looking for affordable solutions with trust. I will spread this in other SNS as well such as YELP, etc. If FOX Auto Care owner disagrees with what I am saying here, you must bring me evidence and legal documents that explain crankcase ventilation malfunction should be covered by manufacturer warranty that fairly allows me to claim the Mercedes dealership I fixed my engine from.

I came back to edit my review which was once a good review. However, since they got rid of John DO NOT COME HERE. I repeat, this place is not worth your time. They will find way to scam you. I took my car in for an oil change and a coolant hose replacement. Moses the manager, said the hose replacement labor would cost $900. Yup, $900. Because they had to “get under the manifold and remove 6 other parts.” I immediately knew this was a lie. I took my car out and took it to a separate mechanic who only charged $280 for the labor. Which took him about 2-3 hours to complete. Please take your car elsewhere and save yourself the frustration.

Actually, for emphasis a minus five (-5) star rating. When Ken Fox still owned this business, with his sister Jacki Willard running ops, this was a reliable facility. Jacki Willard 5-plus years ago: "Two distinguishing characteristics drive our everyday service: honesty and reliability." The shop was subsequently sold to a local shop owner, Patrick Howard, with Jacki still efficiently, ethically and honestly managing ops. Jacki has since died unfortunately. Patrick Howard moved to Texas and, per staff, was in the process of selling this shop when we last contacted Fox Auto Care. Still trusting Fox from work performed when Ken and Jacki were managing the business, major engine and drive train work were performed by Fox. FYI, a change in shop repair staff (mechanics) was noticed at about this time but that was attributed to industry related attrition and normal turnover. To make an already long narrative shorter, attached are copies of work performed by Fox. All this work needs to be redone, with less than 1,000 miles on those alleged repairs. Fox will argue statute of limitation, since repairs are 4-5 years old. What unscrupulous shops fail to realize is that statutes of limitation are not limited by time frames only. Put another way, these repairs should not have failed or be required to be redone in under 1,000 miles. I strongly recommend avoiding this business for major repairs. For minor repairs, e.g. under $500, should you experience failures due to poor workmanship, you can simply move on to a more reliable and honest auto repair facility. However, should repairs result in thousands of dollars as in this case ($7,910), again, I strongly suggest researching other options (I want back to another shop right up the street, owned by the same family for over 40 years). FYI, Fox Auto Care has lost its AAA (Auto Club, California) approved repair facility listing, Patrick Howard sold Fox Auto Care, most of the mechanics listed on the website have not been with Fox Autocare for quite some time (over 1 year).

So John or shall I say "Josh" because it seems like they're referring to him with that name, got let go some time ago. I liked his honesty and service overall of the shop. I'm sure all the workers there are awesome but don't go saying that "Josh" was the reason your prices are going up. The last oil change I got there was 70 bucks (reasonable for a 6.0 if you're on a time crunch). I was going to get charged 113 or 131 (I can't remember but I know I wasn't going to pay that price). The guy at the counter proceeds to tell me that "Josh" was the reason everyone was getting a good deal. That for trucks "Josh" was only charging 70-80 bucks for 5 quarts. So for ONE additional quart of fully synthetic oil you're charging your customers 30-40 dollars more? Maybe I'm overreacting here but I just hate to see a guy like John just have his name tainted in that way. Don't bother reaching out Fox. I would've stayed as a customer if the shop would've simply said, "hey our prices are going up." But to put the blame on John, who would by the way take his time to call and answer any questions my sister had about her car whenever her car was in. It showed the values of the shop and didn't make my sister feel like just another customer. Best of luck to John and I hope Fox doesn't throw any other of their employees under the bus.

Avoid this place at all cost. They over charge, rip you off it seems and can't do the job right the first time. It use to be a great honest shop that was family owned back in the day. Now with new owners it's nothing but a rip off ,poor workmanship, over priced, and things will fail soon after it was repaired. They charge way to much compared to other shops near by. For example I called to see about replacing an alternator for a 2010 Ford SUV. They wanted over 980 bucks to replace it. I told them other places were charging 400-500. I just wanted to see what they would charge just because I had work done with them before. They told me well you pay for what you get we do a better job. Truth is they don't. Every time I got my vehicle repaired I had to take it back for them to fix it again because they didn't do the job right the first time. Sometimes my vehicle ended up in worse shape then it did before. Also once they repaired they have a 3 year warranty. However your parts you had them will fail either right when the warranty ends or soon after it ends. I also had my transmission replaced by them. I just found out from another macanic that apparently they only did a rebuild they didn't replace it with a brand new OEM like I was told they did and what I was charged. Yet charged me for a new transmission. I look back and I remember when I asked to do a rebuild they didn't want to they wanted to replace it completely because it was better. Dumb me agreed. Yet they did a rebuild anyway. I also found out from online forms and FB groups the amount of repairs cost they charge is way overpriced by a lot than what it should be. My transmission replacement and labor if I recall was like 6k. Other repairs I had I learned was also over what the average cost was 2 to 3x even 4 times the amount it should cost. Never again will they get my business.

This is a great local auto care facility very proficient in repairing my 2003 BMW 325I prices were fair service was quick and efficient. Customer service was excellent. If you have need of repair of ABM w Mercedes Benz or any other European sports car you really should do yourself a favor and try this auto-repair facility. Moses the owner is very committed to a very positive customer service experience and he knows his automotive technology and is a master mechanic. I would recommend this to any family or friend who is in need of repair or service on their European vehicle.
