I gave 4 stars due to the fact that they know their stuff and get the job done correctly, however, they don't do a great job of communicating with their customers about the problems and the repairs and estimates. I've gone there twice now, and both times I had to call them to find out what the issue is with my car and both times, they knew without contacting me first. I'm editing this because they did indeed contact me about the estimate the second time and it was in my spam spam sp it was a my bad on that part, but the first time I went, they didnt reach out to me. Otherwise it's 5 stars for the repairs.

Never in my life have I taken my car to a shop, was told I need $500+ worth of repairs, and when I went to pick it up they said the part didn't need replaced after all, it just needed realigned and we didn't charge you for that. My bill was $21 total! Merry Christmas to me! I will never take my car anywhere but Franz Auto

Very friendly service and knowledgeable mechanics. Even though they weren't able to fix the little rattling noise under my truck they were able to do everything else I requested and are very kind. Billy the owner threw in my tire rotation and balancing free of charge. A good mechanic is hard to come by. These guys know what they're doing.

This was the literal best experience I could have had on a day when I woke up to a car that wouldn’t start. Rose, one of the owners, is the world’s kindest person. They had my car diagnosed and repaired in two and a half hours, and they charged a very reasonable labor rate. There was a greeting card on the desk that said something about being a bright shining light in the world or something of the effect, and it is truly the most honest thing I’ve read in a while. Remmy, the black lab, is also outstanding. 10/10. I’ll be telling everyone about this place forever.

Perhaps Franz's prices have dropped dramatically in the last few years, but if you check their reviews on Yelp, you'll note numerous complaints, one of which is mine, from 2018: A friend has used Franz's for many years, so I decided to get an estimate for some necessary work. I also got an estimate from another, long-standing and very popular shop. For the identical service (and nothing additional), Franz's estimate was *more than 2.5 times* the price of the other shop, for labor.

My whole family has been going here for years, Billy and Rose are fantastic people! Any time I’ve had any issues with a vehicle they’ve taken great care of the car (and me)! Always very forthcoming and honest about repairs, potential preventative maintenance etc. I’ve never had any doubts about the quality of work or the quality of care; this Garage is a rare gem and I absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable, dependable mechanic that is also trustworthy and affordable.

Yet another fantastic experience at Franz led me to finally get around to writing this review. They truly care about their customers. I had an appointment to change over my tires to the summer set and they called me to tell me they couldn't do it because my summer tires were too worn and it was a safety issue, as they knew I'd be taking a huge road trip shortly. They then did NOT charge me for the labor, despite my protests! Rose spent some time going over my options for appropriate tires given my driving habits and terrain, and at the very end of the day to boot! And this is just the typical standard every time I go there. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
