I got some work done few months back and these guys charged me $350. I thought it was too much for the job and decided not to come back. Now I was going to do same job with different car and few other places quoted almost $800. I am back getting my work done and thanked them to charge fair price. It is only costing me $387 this time. Not a very fancy place but these guys warranty there work and get the job done for right price.

Great Place for a smog check! Varun is efficient and professional. He has helped me out the past two years with smogging my vehicle. His prices are reasonable and he gives you a 2nd retest at no additional charge. I would recommend him & his services with no hesitation. He even gives out candy. Lol :)

I’m very much satisfied with their job done last October 2, 2021. They changed the oil pressure gauge sensor and changed the lift gate/trunk struts. They are reliable and charges are reasonable, if not we will not be coming back. My family has been a long time customer and started with my son. I highly recommend them.

To asuure that I always got the correct and best service for my Subaru, I had taken the car to the dealer or specialty Subaru mechanics. Due to the increasing maintenance, I had to to find a local good mechanic while maintaining the same level of service. Had visited other local auto shops and although friendly, they were not consistent with the level of service nor have the range of services offered by Fremont Auto repair. There were quite a few blatant mistakes make by other auto shops which made me better appreciate the work done by Fremont Auto Repair. Considering the volume of cars that the owner, Varun, has to work on, he still takes the effort to work with his customers by providing consistent updates along with advice for parts and future maintenance. Fremont Auto repair has now become my go to shop knowing that I will get the same level of service as the dealer or other Subaru speciality shops without the double dealer prices or the distance traveled.

Might be the last place in Fremont to get your old car or truck smog check done. I drive a '76 Chevy Scottsdale C10 - and called and visited many shops around before finding Fremont Auto Repair. They are a Star smog station too, which I had to have. If you're driving anything pre-'90's and you need smog service, don't waste your time like I did talking to smog shops that act like they have never even seen a truck from the '70's - just go here.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Fremont Auto Repair Shop. The service was unprofessional, and the staff seemed disorganized and unhelpful. They failed to properly diagnose my car’s issues, causing unnecessary delays and frustration. On top of that, the communication was terrible. I had to call multiple times just to get updates on the status of my vehicle. Even after they claimed the repairs were complete, I discovered that the problem wasn’t fully fixed, and I had to take my car to another shop to get it done correctly. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

Seemed to be a reasonable shop. I didn’t have any where else to go so I waited around, and there was a comfy couch to sit on. My car failed inspection because of my brakes, a rock chip on my windshield, and a light was out on my license plate. They were honest people, helped me get the problems fixed quickly and for reasonable prices, and explained to me why it needed to be done.
