I would not recommend this business to anyone. In particular, they installed a new alternator in my vehicle without testing the battery so it died again immediately when I stopped for gas up the road. To their credit they did send the technician to jump and test it, who then tried to sell me a new battery at a very high price. I declined and went to Walmart. A couple weeks later the vehicle wouldn’t start again and it was discovered that FTS had not tightened the negative wire nut and it was wiggling around arcing until the bolt become welded to the nut. After the nut was tightened it worked again for a couple months and then killed the new alternator from surging. Although I told FTS they never acknowledged the risk of the alternator being damaged by the faulty wiring which was a mess. Finally I had to have a warranty replacement done by another shop who also pointed out what a mess the wiring was saying ‘they didn’t do you any favors.’ To add to the insult, when I called to request a warranty info including a copy of the invoice I was having trouble finding, I was told they would email me an electronic copy. Fortunately I found my paper copy because by the end of the day I still have not received an email from them. Be warned, unless you are one of the owners buddies you will probably get screwed. Find another shop. EDIT: since I don’t see an option to reply, I am responding here: no it was not the battery terminal, it was the wire nut on the alternator which you installed and no one else touched until it failed. When you sent the tech it was After he installed the alternator and he still failed to detect your shops error. Finally, I never told your shop I had found the invoice since at this point the other shop was handling it. However, had I not found it myself this could have delayed the repair of your faulty work and caused further loss of use of my vehicle. When I was there I noticed the owner was very friendly towards some of his customers while being completely dismissive toward me who was visiting the area for the first time. So it looks like all the good reviews are from regulars but anyone who doesn’t live in the area or visit regularly is treated poorly, or were there other reasons for this unacceptable treatment?

We were on vacation, heading west to San Diego from East Texas pulling an RV, when the Air Conditioner on our truck stopped cooling. At the RV Park where we had reservations, we asked who might be able to repair our A/C. There were several men who, in unison, said “FTS”, so we headed over to see if there was any possibility of them helping us. We went to the RIGHT place. Dan, the owner, immediately asked us to come inside and bring our little fur baby to cool off. He offered us water and a spot to hook up our RV for the night. The technician began diagnostics within a few minutes and had the issue identified within 30 minutes. We needed a new compressor (they showed us the parts of ours) and promised to having it replaced the next day so we could be on our way. There’s more…Dan loaned us a truck to pull our RV to the park. And the price was very reasonable for the excellent job they did. We appreciate the wonderful service and attitudes and help at FTS and would recommend them to anyone. THANK YOU FTS!

Having lived in Yuma for 28 years now I have dealt with a few different mechanics! Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good barber, you must have a level of trust! I have finally found the BEST MECHANICAL TEAM IN YUMA!!! I had an extensive amount of work done on my Ford F 250 6.0 Diesel and ended up with nothing but problems with my truck! Dan and his team did everything they possibly could to minimize my cost of repairs to the faulty heads on the truck! They were extremely fair with me as a lot of the problems were not worth correcting and I figured out I would be better off putting money towards a new truck! Dan and his team have gained my trust and they will be the only place I will trust for any of my future mechanical needs! I can not thank them enough for their exceptional quality and service! ! I would recommend their services to everyone! They are the BEST!!!

I could tell he had things going on around him but Dan spared 15 minutes to answer questions about vehicle history before I signed off on the deal. We were on our way to Country Thunder on a Wednesday evening and stopped in Yuma to get gas when the motorhome started to overheat we pulled over and decided to spend the night to get a mechanic to look at it the next morning. we were able to get ahold of Dan at FTS and he said to bring it in and he would take a look at it, they did and determined that the waterpump had froze up, they immediately put a couple other jobs on hold and went to work on it. it was a very involved project but they worked on it for 2 straight days and were able to get us back on the road Friday evening and we were on our way. i cannot say anything but good from the owner, service writer and mechanic (Sorry forgot all the names) but they were all excellent and i would highly recommend FTS for work needing to be done. they were honest and fair. I took my 2007 GMC Yukon to FTS Automotive to have my new tires mounted on my new rims. The Customer Service was excellent and the staff that works there is very friendly. I had an issue with my wheels being a bit too big. When i would make a turn the tire would rub on the fenders. Martin and Julio went above and beyond by making a few adjustments…and got me back on the road. I’m very thankful to the staff there for treating me right and making me feel like Family. I would definitely recommend this Auto motive Shop to anyone hands down. Thanks again to the staff at FTS Automotive. I will definitely do business there again.

The crew at FTS Automotive and Diesel of Yuma tackled my four wheel alignment this morning in Just over an hour. I Called yesterday and received an appointment for first thing this morning. Very happy with the service, staff and the facility. Definitely will be coming back to get an alignment done on my truck next. First impressions, just pulling into the parking lot seeing the vehicles of some of the customers that they service, I already had a good feeling about the shop. Upon check-in I was very impressed with the questions asked to make sure they were able to give me an accurate quote for the work. The rear of my vehicle needed the most aligning since I had replaced all of the suspension components. After the alignment today, this car is straight And the steering wheel is dead Center. Excellent work guys!!! Very nice customer lounge area, well stocked magazine rack for your reading. Beverages in the fridge for customers And comfortable seating.

Took car in for a Ac recharged came out with Ac compressor issues now. The car idles and air gets warm. They didn’t want to resolve the issue. Not a very happy customer. They took 140$ and left me with a bigger issue now.they mentioned now it was a mechanical issue…
