The body work was very poor. After they finished it, there were bumps all over and a cloudy area on it. They had to take my car back. Currently they are still working on my car. This was a very bad experience and it is very inconvenient. Update- 9/25/25- finally got my car back the third time. They did get some of the bumps off; however it’s there were still other areas that still had bumps. The door trim they took off to paint the door was not flush to the door. The representative said it was like that when they got it. Really? I’m completely done with the shop. Even with the life time warranty on the paint, I will not return to the shop again or recommend this shop to anyone I know. Please do better.

My wife took her 2023 Mazda Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint code 46V Mazda3 to G&C for paint. Through her insurance which they charged $6,800 & some change. Told my wife her car was ready to come pick it up @ 6:30 @ night/dark out. I told her they did that on purpose so she wouldn't notice the shotty poor quality work they did. When we told them we will be inspecting the car & if there's any issue we're bringing it back. Then all the sudden she's told "well actually there are quite a few imperfections so you will need to bring. The car back on Monday smh, & it's only Tuesday however my question is if they knew there were "imperfections" why tell her its ready/fixed come pick up the car?? Once home i inspected the car & as I suspected it was a novice job @ best! Color didn't match & there was gravel/dirt embedded into the paint of the vehicle. Literally every part the painted both rear & front passenger & driver side doors, quarter panels & hood of the car. When we mentioned that. There was dirt/gravel embedded into the paint they told us "well there was construction going on next door" what does that have to do with us our car or anything for that matter? Did they leave our freshly painted vehicle sitting outside while still wet/drying? Do they not have a designated area where the painting is done? Did they not close off where they were painting the vehicle? If so very unprofessional & it obviously ruined the so called new paint! If you could avoid this shop do so @ all cost! Wish she never brought her vehicle here but we already reached out to insurance company. To inform them of the shotty job the lousy condition of the paint which doesn't even match. I think they tried re creating the paint rather then just purchasing it & painting the car properly smh. We are bringing the car back on Monday for them to fix their "work". Btw the paint code for Mazda Soul Red Crystal Metallic is 46V buy it use it stop cutting corners & attempting to make it yourselves.

Started off great with friendly service, but once they got paid by the insurance, they completely ignored my calls and stopped caring about my car. It felt like they were only interested in the money, not actually helping customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I came to G&C after speaking with my insurance company and asked for another recommendation as the other place I went to really treated me unkindly. That was absolutely not the case with G&C!! From day 1 I was greeted by Ralph and he worked with me all the way until it was time to pick up my car! Ralph has impeccable customer service skills and treats you as the person you are and really cares about the service you receive and making sure you like the repairs. The value is amazing even though I went through my insurance company I still have a warranty on the services and that makes me feel even more confident with their services!! If you're iffy on where to go I highly recommend coming here!! They're friendly, knowledgeable, and very personable!! Anytime I need any body repairs I will be going here!! And I highly recommend Ralph!! Again he's given me the best customer service I've ever had at any body repair/mechanic shop I've ever gone to!! I was very disappointed with my experience at G&C Auto Body. I brought my vehicle in due to interior water damage through an insurance claim. I was initially told we would review the car together and that they would look into the damage, but that never happened. The shop ultimately only performed a detailing because they said they were following the insurance company’s instructions, even though water damage can affect areas that are not immediately visible. Communication was confusing, and I received conflicting information about whether mold was found in the vehicle. I now have to pay out of pocket to have my car inspected because issues are starting to appear. Overall, the experience left me feeling that my concerns about possible hidden damage were not taken seriously

They also helped set up a rental car for me and let me drop it off at the body shop when my car was ready to be picked up. Ralph and all the staff were great. This is my second repair with them and I must say that the entire experience was flawless. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are fast, kind, attentive, and provide excellent workmanship. They even gave me a ride home when I dropped off my car. Then once repairs were completed they delivered my car to my house. After three months, I finally got my car back — and while the process was a nightmare, it ultimately ended on a positive note. My car was vandalized and needed deep scratch repair and a full paint job. It’s only three years old and a Mazda with a special color, so I went with this shop because it was highly recommended by my insurance company. I was hesitant at first because they don't specialize in Mazda, but decided to give them a chance. The first repair in November was clearly rushed due to the holidays. The paint was the wrong color, had heavy orange peel, gravel embedded in it, and some areas weren’t fully painted at all. I felt brushed off, but I wasn’t willing to settle — this car is my baby and still practically new. The second attempt in January was also disappointing. The color still didn’t match, and there were again pieces of gravel in the paint. My color isn’t a standard black, white, or gray, and while I was told it matched, the hood was noticeably darker than the rest of the car. The panels leaned more toward a Tesla red than a Mazda red. To make matters worse, a pinched wire caused my door locks to malfunction. At that point, the manager, Price, stepped in and brought in a paint specialist, Effrin. They worked together to coordinate the color properly and used a new process. After two failed attempts, I was close to calling my insurance to move the car to another shop, but this finally gave me some hope. This time, I was able to approve the color, and Price kept his word by personally ensuring the job was done correctly. The specialist confirmed the paint match, and the car was polished beautifully. When I finally got my car back, it looked the way it did when I first bought it. If I were rating only the first two experiences, this would have been a one-star review. However, I’m giving four stars because the manager stepped up, took accountability, and ultimately made things right. While it took three months and a lot of frustration to get there, my car is beautiful again.
