This is the second time I've used Gainesville Transmission for a trans issue. The 1st time Stan the owner rebuilt the tailpiece on my jeep transmission and replaced all universals , trans fluid, differential fluid, bushings, seals and filters and got in done in half a day which is really quick considering the tailpiece needed to me machined after the new bushings were pressed in and for $400 which was a good bit less than anyone else was quoting me. The second time he found me a trans with a year warranty for a really good price. Even though I told him it was no rush to get it done since I was driving my second vehicle he still knocked out the trans swap in less than week. In short he hunted down a trans with a better warranty than angone else was offering and replaced it for a price a few hundred cheaper than anyone else was quoting me. In the end yes he gets 5 stars. People complain about his personality but as long as the shop owner is honest which Stanley is and able to do good work which Stanley and his son definitely do, who cares about the guys personality? I just want good service without being ripped off.

Was going to do business with these folks but, not anymore. Whoever answered the phone is simply rude and if I were in person I don't think the conversation would have gone that way. If you're busy as a business, you start your conversation off like "I'm busy can I call you back?" Or "I'm busy can you call me back?". Don't let me give you a synopsis an then tell me your busy. I get it your a mechanic your not in customer service

Stan is extremely knowledgeable and good to work with. I trust him and his team with internal engine work, transmission work, transfer case rebuilds and powertrain repairs that other shops would say 'no' to. Great customer service. Ashley went above and beyond to work with the after market warranty company to complete our transmission replacement. We purchased a used vehicle warranty through our credit union and unfortunately had to file a claim when our transmission failed. The warranty company “warrantech/MileEdge Plus” was a nightmare to deal with. Ashley and everyone at Gainesville Tranmsission worked diligently to make sure we were taken care of. I can’t thank them enough for their time and patience. I highly recommend Gainesville Transmission!

Worst place Ive ever been to. A huge waste of time. I tried making an appointment with them to look at my car transmission when I went to the appointment we set up. The guy that was supposed to look at my car took the day off to take his kid to the water park. What's the point of making an appointment then, you could have said something about you take the day off. I gave them the benefit of the doubt considering the Google review so I ask the front desk lady if I could leave my car tomorrow so he could take a look at it and give me a call when they're done. She agreed. So the next day I left my car around 8:30. Didn't get a call back all day so I decided to give them a call. The guys I was originally talking to was in the "bathroom" so I called back 30mins later he answer the phone saying I might need a new transmission so I asked about pricing then tells me he doesn't know and has no idea and the person that could give me a price won't be there tomorrow either. CANT GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER AROUND HERE. don't waste your time good people but horrible service surprised they're still in business. Oh and when I asked about my key the guy had gave me someone else keys and told me they had replaced my. How you lose someone's keys? Very unprofessional place. Don't waste people time and they don't close at 5 they close at 4. Update your Google page!!

Stanley and his crew installed my new aftermarket clutch in my civic si coupe and I couldn’t be happier. Car drives better than when I bought it and the price he quoted me was less than half of what the dealership was trying to charge. Dropped the car off and it was done the next day. Honest hardworking people. Noticed a slight issue with the roller mount not being fully secured so he had me bring it in the next morning threw it up on a lift and had it fixed within 10 minutes. If you’re looking for a good shop that won’t rip you off and stands by the quality of their work then this is the place for you.

Wow ! Once more Stanly ,Josh ,Josh "the other Josh" and the one and only Ashley came to the rescue! Took my vehicle in ASAP ,repairs were made. Even a surprise repair ! They found a second problem effecting the first and fixed it as well . This family treats you like you are one of their own . They have always gone above and beyond . Stand Nd Gainesville Transmission was recommended by my auto mechanic Tony at Accurate Automotive. I had 700R ingest need of attention. Stand gave me a price and stuck with it. He showed me the parts that were really damaged and what needed to be done. He generally replaces the torque converter as a rule. This part shown was worn and scored so ig had to be replaced as did a couple bands that was burnt. He put in upgraded parts and now the transmission shifts with authority. I had an oil leak on the engine oil pan thr gasket needed replacing also. All in all a great experience. 👍🏻👍🏻

I have never been treated so kindly by a mechanic! I've had a LOT of problems with my minivan and it broke down on me once again, except this time I could not make the repair happen financially. Not only did my van sit at their shop taking up real estate for almost a month, but they never charged me a thing!
