I have been taking our cars to Oscar for the last couple years. I will be taking our Highlander in for a 120,000 mile service which might include new spark plugs. I say might because, as Oscar says, "I won't know until I pull a plug and look at it", which is different from how the dealer comes at it, which is to say, at x miles, we change the plugs. I guess my bottom line point is (and it is bottom line) that Oscar knows what he's doing. He is extremely competent. And, he operates with a great deal of integrity. I believe what he tells me.

Great experience at Gamino's as always. I've had my car serviced by them a few times now and I've always received excellent service. I never felt pressured to get repairs I didn't need, and everything was clearly explained and quoted before any work was done. Highly recommended!

I took my truck here a year ago for my brakes after they failed on me after being worked on twice. The first time was in Blain's Farm and Fleet in Oak Creek when my foot suddenly went straight to the floor. The second time was a few months later in Madison where it failed on the Interstate and I was lucky to not get in an accident. Crestwood Auto repaired it but it was still leaking. I took it to Gamino's and wow, I was so impressed. He took the time to explain exactly what was needed and told me to come back if there were ever any issues. I'm coming back, but just for a tune-up. No issues ever since. I appreciated the reasonable price (and I ought to know after having paid for the same repair twice before LOL). Husband and wife team that are phenomenal. I'm only leaving the review now because I don't see my old one anywhere, and they deserve great reviews for the service they give.

Whatever you do don’t ever ask any questions regarding any work done by Oscar (great mechanic but offended too easily). We recently took our car to a mechanic that was close to us because we were going out of town for the weekend (last minute plans) and heard a noise when we made left hand turns, so we wanted to make sure it was safe to drive. The mechanic that we took it to stated that there was a bracket missing, and suggested that we should take it back and ask the previous mechanic to put it back on. The job was done earlier by Oscar and so we asked him about it. Now please keep in mind that my husband and I are not mechanics and therefore, don’t have any knowledge about brackets much less any auto repairs. Oscar’s ego was bruised because he thought we were questioning his mechanic skills and his integrity, which couldn’t be further from the truth. We got two conflicting pieces of information so of course you’re going to ask questions of BOTH MECHANICS, so you can better understand the information given. When we called Oscar to give him the green light to fix the noise we had been hearing from the left hand turns. He quipped back with a statement and said to take it to the other Mechanic to have it fixed. I’m sorry but this was very unprofessional and if you’re going to be offended for us asking questions like a normal Consumer would then honestly you should not be in business. When you have no knowledge of a subject then you’re inclined to ask questions but that doesn’t mean you’re questioning the skill or integrity. I really hate to leave this 1 star review because I have always advocated for small businesses but Oscar you have to understand and allow for your patrons to ask simple questions about auto repairs.

Brought my 2015 Chevy Equinox here for a/c work, turned out to be the a/c compressor. They got it done nice and fast, price was reasonable for a/c work, definitely a lower price then at a dealership. Just brought it in again for a screw in the tire, was able to get it in the next day and start working on it right away, which is awesome and very helpful. Overall I definitely recommend them.

Replaced my TPMS sensors in my tires and reprogrammed them to my Prius. I've also used Gamino's for other repairs I couldn't do myself.

This place is literally amazing. They are as honest and caring as can possibly be. When I say that Oscar went above and beyond for me, the words will never be able to say how thankful I am for their help. Highly recommend for any car services you need.

Recently brought my 2011 Mazda to Oscar and asked him to do a diagnostic for any major issues of concern. He was respectful and did as I had asked. Not only did he repair the issues to extend my cars life at 221,000, but he was able to do it the next day in addition to an alignment which has been near perfect. I will definitely use him again if I need anything. Thank you Oscar!

The Hyundai dealership informed us that my son had a seized brake caliper and quoted a repair cost of $1,200. We sought a second opinion from Gamino’s Auto Repair, where Oscar inspected the vehicle and determined the issue was not with the caliper but with the emergency brake. After completing the repair and replacing the brake pads, the total cost was a fraction of Hyundai’s estimate. Thank you Oscar for your honesty—highly recommended!

I was dissatisfied with a different shop because they were giving me the runaround so I took my van here. So happy I did. Oscar is knowledgeable, honest and kind. Prices are more than fair. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else now

Brought a 1999 Chevy Tahoe to them , they couldn’t get starter working took about 3 Months to figure that out but later I took it to Chevy only for Chevy to now say you have cracked intake Exhaust and components are missing . Stay away from Little shops just go to dealerships places like this will take parts off your car and buy the same car for a low price only to resell with your parts on them .

tried charging me $1800 for spark plugs and ignition coil. you can see his professionalism and how he responds criticism I'm lowering my review because of that. And by the way Oscar, I took it to my mechanic the day after and got it fixed. I only did that review when I got around to it and I literally have the invoice. And none of the other stuff is on that. I'll come back and add a photo of it if you don't believe me And my car has been running fine not a single issue since I got it fixed. You just try to rip off a 20 year old thats the bottom line. I'm sure you do good work but you'll definitely charge an old lady $300 for an oil change and handle feedback like a middle schooler. But what whatever dude I see many other people have the same problems with you so I guess it's nothing personal.

Very fair prices. Oscar went out of his way to save me money by recommending that I buy my own part, otherwise he’d have to use shop price. He got my car working on the short term until the part came in, then installed it free of charge when I brought it in. After dealing with Auto Perfection of Racine’s money trap of a service, my time with Gamino’s is like a breath of fresh air. If you want fair prices and honest work done, you should consider Gamino’s. No credit card trap. No insanely expensive repeat visits.

I recently had some extensive engine work done at Gaminos . I drive an 08 Chevy Cobalt and out of the blue it started acting up on me! I called around and checked out a number of places and thankfully ended up decided to take my car here for repairs . I was having a major timing chain issue as well as everything that is attached to that, and also a wheel bearing that they discovered while they were looking over my car. I knew something was going on the car but I wasn't sure what it was. Although car repairs, especially anything involving the engine is always going to be costly, I thought they were reasonable compared but some other places that I had checked with. They also kept me informed as to what was going on along the way. One thing that truly impressed me was the fact that the owner gave it his final " quality control " check , as I like to call it before he finished up the work on the car and considered everything repaired. When it was all finalized I asked him at the last minute if he could also replace one of the minor lights on the car and he did that at no cost for me! When I went in to pick up the car he literally brought out on a cart all of the old parts that he had replaced and explained to me exactly what they did and why they needed to be replaced! I was truly impressed by that ! I would highly recommend this business to anyone and I will definitely be putting the word out about their honesty and bringing my car there for any future repairs!

Oscar and Jesse had my issues diagnosed quickly and accurately. The necessary repairs were completed within a few hours for a very reasonable price. I definitely will be doing business with them in the future.
