Gene Perez was recommended to me after I had a not so good experience with just sending my vehicle straight to Mercedes. I stopped all work from being done at Mercedes and transferred my vehicle to Gene Perez. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and had a difficult insurance adjuster to say the least. Mike at Gene Perez was extremely professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure everything was done properly. I recommended them to anybody! Top notch!

Cleanest collision shop I’ve ever been to. Jeff did a great job dealing with insurance and making sure the repair went smoothly. Wade, the technician went above and beyond repairing the truck as good as new. You couldn’t even tell there was a repair done. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing collision/body repairs.

For the amount of time it took, the car should look perfect but unfortunately it does not. The car was obviously put back together in a rush and parts on the bumper and side panel are loose. They were given x amount from my insurance company to “recondition” the wheel and was told for weeks that they were waiting on the wheel but the other cars paint is still there with scrapes and it looks untouched. Very nice people but you could probably find a shop that works a little faster with the same average at best quality of work.

This place is a scam. They quoted me $1800 to replace a plastic piece on my car. A part of that quote was $800+ dollars for painting when the piece comes as the color that it’s installed as. Either they’re just unqualified and don’t realize that or they think they can take advantage of me because I am a female. They may be recommended by the luxury auto dealerships, but there are many far better, honest places to get work done for your car.

I have used Gene Perez through the years on various vehicles and the usual is poor customer service. My BMW was in a collision and I went to them expecting the same treatment and not meeting dates but good work. Color me surprised. The service was excellent!!!!!! Shawn G. and the receptionist on Hanna were excellent and so very helpful. I was totally impressed with the work and communication from them. My car looks brand new. I would recommend them to anyone. I am a very satisfied customer!!!!! If needed go there and see Shawn!!!!!! Thank you for a job VERY well done!!!!!!!! and on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike Sforza and the crew over at the body shop were extremely friendly and professional. They did a thorough assessment of my vehicle and it took a little over a week for replacement of my driver door along with additional body work to be completed and painted. The car looked better than it did brand new. They made the transition with the rental car company seamless as they maintained contact with the insurance company and the rental company the entire time and kept me up to date. Their service was above and beyond excellent. They will continue to get my business for future needs along with my recommendation to anyone I know.

I needed to have some bodywork repair to my Porsche Macan last August/2023 and Mike Sforza and his Staff at The N Florida Ave location, did a phenomenal job! I recently noted some damage to the paint on the hood of my car from some corrosive material having dripped on it. I arranged to have Mike and his associate Sean take a look at it. Not only did they take the time to address the problem, they both buffed the damage out by hand and removed the entire stain! No one wants to require repairs to their vehicles, but if a situation arises where it is needed, Mike Sforza, Sean and the rest of the Staff at the N Florida Ave location, are the place to go! * UPDATE From OCT 2023.... Thank you Fields BMW who found the leak ... actually 3 leaks that Gene Perez claimed did not exist, claimed that i left the trunk open to allow water in my $70k vehicle.... PLEASE .... Fields corrected the horrible work preformed by Gene Perez Autobody to include sending my car for repainting the vehicle the correct color .... Happy to post all documents from Fields... Gene Perez , Is a JOKE !!!!!! The worst experience of my life. Rude and nasty, condescending business owner that thinks nothing of speaking to his customers with anger and frustration in his voice. Painted my car the wrong color twice and refuses to acknowledge that the paint is the wrong color. I have pictures to demonstrate the incorrect paint job. After four months you would think they would’ve gotten it correct. All I receive is lip service argument and hostility from the owner David. Avoid taking your car to this repair shop at all costs. Was recommended by Reeves BMW So I thought I was going to a quality body shop. My insurance company has been going back-and-forth with them for several months and also indicated to me that they don’t listen and do whatever they want to. I’m so disgusted , the vehicle that cost me a fortune is now worth nothing and looks terrible, now I’ll have to pay out-of-pocket to have the car painted the right color just trade it in. Honestly .. delay my fault … car to you Perez 6/1 … not delivered to Reeves for tires and engine assessment until 8/23 , body work unfinished .. back to Perez and on 9/18 called to picture up … paint incorrect, lifted truck , water in truck … owner argued claiming I always had water in truck .. not so … and print was and still wrong color … I now have three independent assessments of the color and all state paint used to repair color is darker more metallic.. must have used different paint manufacturer. Also pointed out during the assess.. BMW emblem placed incorrectly in wrong location … So make all the excuses you want … pictures and independent reviews don’t lie . Oh snd the fictional leak … found .., .. UPDATE: Funny how Fields BMW was able to locate not one but THREE Leaks ... leaks that had this body shop cared enough about intergrity and their customers, had the owner simply listened rather than trying to act like the smartest person in the room.... well .. my car would not be moldy and ruined. Unprofessional, insulting tone, rude towards women! do not use this body shop, avoid at all costs.

Freak accident with hydraulic wedge garage barrier lead me to my favorite mechanic, Jerry, owner of South Fl Auto Repair. He highly recommended Gene Perez. This was backed up a member of my East of the Bay MINI club who had service in his classic car. I am pleased with the result. Service was excellent! Drove me to Enterprise car rental, managed my insurance claim, and returned the rental for me. The Emerald grey paint matches perfectly! Nice job on the rims too. I had my Audi rear ended really bad and took it here. The GM Mike was exceptional. World class. Him and his team fixed the car up perfectly. Mike not only helped with the car, but the communication aspect with the shop is exceptional. They give you frequent updates and timetables about when the car will be ready as well as the insurance side. Beth at the front desk is wonderful too. I appreciate all the help guys.

Wondering how they even got Porsche certified. The person literally told me and I quote: “We need to disassemble your car to send an estimate to insurance” - Meaning : We want to tear your car apart first so you’re stuck with us. The person DID NOT LOOK AT THE DAMAGE ON MY CAR and said: “That’d be 2000$ more. Mind you estimate listed OEM parts, so I am guessing the difference comes from labor cost? A legit OEM-cert shop will inspect and write a preliminary supplement without disassembly if the damage is visible and it is visible on my car. I would not recommend. The fact that they are okay touching the car without insurance approved supplement is bothersome. UPDATE: Dear sir. At no point have I mentioned I am coming back to your shop. It is as easy as to go to porsche website and see other certified shops in the area. And they are so so nice, I actually think by driving the standard so low your shop actually made another shop look extremely good. I won't give the name so everyone knows that it is not being done by competitors. And yes thank you sir, I will take $$$ and whatever more insurance paid out to me to the other shop. Thank you for letting me know that my opinion does not matter, so for that reason I actually called Porsche of Tampa and let them know that the shop they are recommending is not up to standards. They were very happy to listen to me. I hope some day you find the strength and wisdom to listen to customers feedback. For anyone who reads this review, check my other reviews. I only have 2 negative ones. One for here and one for starbucks. That is how porblematic I am.
