I’ve used Gerber 3 times. First time was to fix the crappy work done by a competitor - i was very satisfied with Gerber; the next time I had a fender-bender I went back and they were great! This time I was kind of in a hurry and Liz made a commitment that they would get it done asap. It’s one thing to say it but, wow! She wasn’t kidding! I will hopefully be a little more careful driving, but if I need body work done, I will be going to Gerber. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Not happy at all. I think they don’t care about cars with minor collisions at all. I got a collision with a garage pillar and the passenger side rear door/quarter panel had some dents. The original estimated repair duration was 4 weeks. After leaving my car here for two weeks, I got a message saying my car had been sent for painting. In the third week, however, I got a call notifying me that they found another damaged part that needed to be replaced, and they had just ordered the part, which led to a delay of 1-2 weeks. I don’t know why they needed three weeks to figure that out. Do they really know how to inspect damaged cars? I have no idea. Another possibility was they actually just let my car sat there with no progress for three weeks, and then started the work in the last week of estimated period. At the same time, they just kept sending out fake messages to pretend that they were working on my car. Trash. I will move to another state in the same month and this shop is giving me a huge anxiety. I had to choose this shop because they are a partner of my insurance company. If your time is precious and you do have a chance, just avoid them.

After reading all of the reviews online we were very concerned with taking our car to Gerber but the insurance recommended them. Much to our surprise we had a great experience. We received a call from Gerber right after the insurance claim was filed. Gerber scheduled our estimate within a week of that call. We took the vehicle in for the estimate which took a few short minutes to review the damage with Sydni our estimator. She emailed the estimate within a very short time. We scheduled the work for the first of the week following the estimate. The vehicle was dropped off on Monday, we got an update on Tuesday via text that our vehicle was on track to be completed on Thursday as promised. On Thursday morning we received a text that they were finishing up and to expect a text to coordinate to pick up the vehicle. By early afternoon the vehicle was confirmed to be finished and ready for pick up. The gentleman showed us the work that was completed and the warranty packet and we were on the way. Sydni our estimator was great. She answered questions as they arose and was very professional. We had asked her about polishing our headlight lenses and she said they could do that but most of the time they cloud back up. Low and behold she had them polished for us as a courtesy. After our experience with replacing a front bumper we would return again and recommend them to others. Thank you!

Has had my auto for over a month. Multiple emails stating my auto was near completion. Then was told 3 ‘major parts’ were on back order and could be weeks to months before completion. Meanwhile Ive been driving a friends vehicle, otherwise price of rental would be well over $1500 at this point. Asked the company for a loaner vehicle till my auto was finished. Was rudely put in my place saying they already have gone above and beyond for me! By making phone calls searching for back ordered parts. WHAT??? Doing what? Your job? Was called by The Market Manager of Gerber Collision after writing this review. My auto won’t be done for a while because of back ordered parts, but they did give me a vehicle to drive at their expense until mine is done. Thank you Gerber Collision for putting an effort forward and making things better…

Great place. They did a preliminary estimate online from pictures. Their cost was less than another estimate I got. They recommended a rental car company that insurance covered. They kept in touch via email.

After my car accident, I had the side door repaired and picked up my car, but now the fuel cap won't open, even though it was working fine before. I discovered that they forgot to remove the tape inside the fuel cap and left a cleaner inside my car. I wish they were more organized and followed a step-by-step process.

I was directed to this Gerber location by my insurance carrier since the shop had an opening for the next day. I preferred Caliber, but they were booked out until the next month. I was hesitant to schedule with this location given the negative reviews, and after my experience with them, I was right to be worried. There was inconsistent communication, they are VERY slow to get work done, and the workmanship is poor. They estimated a 3-week turnaround time to replace parts for my vehicle - mind you, it's a RAV4, which is the most common SUV in the US, so parts are not difficult to ship to them. This was something their shop rep, Liz, had even pointed out when I dropped off my vehicle. The delays came from them putting my repairs on the backburner, as evidenced by my phone conversation with one of their technicians, John. He called a couple weeks into repairs and informed me they needed to replace a couple minor parts in the suspension and the car would be ready that same day (earlier than anticipated). I called later in the day (6 hours later) to follow-up, and the receptionist along with Liz informed me that the technicians didn't even touch the car the whole day. Liz stated my car "could be ready tomorrow (Tuesday), Wednesday, or even Thursday." Then proceeded to tell me I must have misheard the technician. Realizing my time was being wasted, I decided to wait until I heard back from them, which ended up being a couple of days later. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed the workmanship was of poor quality (lumps in the clear coat, trim was poorly installed and damaged pieces not replaced, new door not aligned with car frame, etc). When pointing this out, Liz became defensive; however, given the obvious poor workmanship, agreed to have the work redone per the warranty with my insurance carrier. I also noticed that despite bringing in my vehicle with a full tank, my car was now half-full (which equates to 200 miles of driving). She again became defensive, but the photos showed that I was, in fact, being honest. She couldn’t explain it and redirected me to the manager, who became defensive and insinuated I was accusing his technicians of stealing gas. He very reluctantly refilled my tank after awkwardly staring me down. After bringing in my vehicle for the work to be redone (for a pick-up scheduled for later that same day), I received a call from the shop manager stating they wanted to keep my car another day after noticing a dent near the hood that they initially missed. Upon picking up my car the following day, I found a new scratch on the paint job they just did, more poor workmanship on the work they were supposed to fix (e.g., residual glue from reattaching molding to the side door), and a new scratch on the window trim. They also had removed my floor mats and left large footprints on the flooring of the driver's side. Given my experiences, the staff appear incompetent and careless with their work. I do not recommend this location as it was such a headache dealing with them. Their communication and workmanship are severely lacking. You’ll be making multiple trips trying to get them to redo their work when other repair shops are much more efficient and detailed without the back-and-forth. I suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere for repairs.

The staff were helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They fixed my car issue quickly and did a perfect job. It was such a relief to have everything taken care of so efficiently!

I took my car to Gerber for an estimate after backing into my garage. Ugh. Josh thought he could buff out the marks and immediately went to work. Brought it out ten minutes later fully buffed and even patched a chip in the paint. Then he said it was no charge. I really appreciated all he did on the spot for someone in need. Thank you Josh! Go to Gerber. They will treat you right.

Waited for over 3 hours for a quote and they said they wouldn't give a price till they were done working on my vehicle. Go kick rocks! I'll take my business somewhere else. Customer is wrong here, so avoid if you don't want to get screwed!

They left my vehicle unlocked, and someone rifled through my console, throwing it all over and stole who knows what.

Unacceptable Repairs & Poor Customer Service We took our vehicle to Gerber Collision & Glass – Madison (200 W Beltline Hwy) for an insurance-covered repair, and the experience was extremely disappointing. When we picked up the car, the rear bumper was wobbly—something that never existed before. We raised the issue with Josh, the shop manager, who acknowledged the problem but refused to fix it. Upon inspection, we found that no proper support or absorber was installed, making the bumper weak and prone to breaking. Instead of addressing our concerns, the shop showed us photos that failed to prove the necessary components were reinstalled correctly. They also replaced a metal support that, in our opinion, did not need replacing—raising concerns about unnecessary repairs instead of actually fixing the issue. We do not trust this shop and fear additional damage if we return. The dismissive attitude and lack of accountability are unacceptable. We will be escalating this issue and strongly do not recommend this location for any auto repairs. That said, we are open to updating our review if Gerber follows up, takes responsibility, and approaches us in an amicable manner to resolve the issue properly. If you value proper repairs and customer service, avoid this place. 03/14/2025 Time 13:16 PM Here is my response for your "Google Review" message below in you sent to me an hour ago or so: Thank you for responding. Josh and your team already have our preferred contact method—email. We have stated this multiple times since our initial communication, as my wife and I are busy with work, and email is the most efficient way to communicate. I have just sent you an email. If your shop is truly committed to owning mistakes and providing proper customer service, I expect direct communication through the channels we requested—which you already have on file. The fact remains: the rear bumper is improperly installed—it is wobbly, lacks proper support, and is susceptible to breaking. This is not just a "customer service experience"—it is a quality and safety issue. Your response suggests an attempt to resolve this matter through Google reviews rather than addressing the actual problem. I have yet to receive a clear commitment from your team to correct the issue properly. If you are willing to take full responsibility and provide a real solution, please contact me directly via email —not through indirect channels. Until then, our concerns remain unresolved, and we will escalate this matter if necessary.

Yeah don't go here if you want scratches on your window from incorrect installation. Went here to get my door panel fixed on my car just to find out there was scratches on my driver side window. Could run my nail across it and feel the bumbs. Went there personally to tell them about it and they said I will be contacted by someone. Was contacted a week or so later about how they will call me when the glass arrives. 3 to 4 weeks passed and I never received that call, I had to personally go there and tell someone to call me about the glass when it's suppose to "arrive", and Lord behold next day someone called me about and told me that my glass was there(I assume it was there way before but they didn't bother to call me at all until I went there). Rental they provided for me was disgusting with crums on the floor and hair all over the back seat. I drove it home and back but not to work as I didn't want to be in the rental car longer than I should. They "buffed" out the scratches but when you look closely you could see the buffer they used left even more micro circle scratches alone the glass(also my car was dirty and I expected them to clean/wash my car for damage they caused to it). So I had to stay another day with that God forbidden rental car, just so they can install the new glass. Car was still never washed even though they caused the scratches. Wasted my time, horrible experience, no compansation for their mistake, would never go back here or other gates again. Don't make the mistake to even go here with their "high" ratings. I wouldn't have wrote this paragraph if I didn't have a horrible experience. And also look closely at where they repair as they likely caused more damage. I would give it the lowest rating if possible, this 1 star is too generous in my opinion. Don't expect to receive anything from them if they do mess up also.

I'm never using them again even when my insurance company is paying. I dropped my car for one problem and they some broke some thing else. Initially they called me and told me my car was ready but I'd need to bring it back because they broke something else on my car that would be an easy fix but they needed to order the part. I decided to let them extend my rental so they could keep my car and give it back to me completely fixed. I called a few days later to see if my car was ready and they said yes. I picked it up and after getting it home noticed that the NEVER FIXED THE THING THEY BROKE! These people not only BROKE something else on my car when it was getting repaired but they also gave me back my car knowing it wasn't ready. Horrible experience and I won't be going back.

The one good thing about this place is that they were friendly and I appreciated updates from Sydni. The reason they get one star is for several reasons. Car looks fine compared to what it was, but it still isn't acceptable. The car door that they worked on now makes noises everytime I close and open it. Somebody ruined my WHITE CLOTH seat by getting black stuff on it. The rest of the car dusty, front windshield looked like somebody sprayed something on it and wiped half of it off. Pictures attached of another complaint that I simply can't explain. My car repairs got delayed a week, which would be no big deal, if my car came back in the condition it should've. This is a leased car that I have, and sadly now the value of my car is lesser, because of mistakes that Gerber's shop made. Ugh I don't know what to do, other than give them the review they deserve.

This Gerber location has been the most extraordinary experience we've had with a vehicle repair. We had someone back into the side of us in our parking lot at our apartment complex and it did a ton of damage to the side of our car. Gerber was recommended by our insurance and although we weren't sure what to expect, we came away from the process amazed at the quality and level of work that was done to repair our car. It literally looks brand new! Liz, the woman who quoted us, was very thoughtful and compassionate with our situation, and showed an exceptional level of professionalism and knowledge about everything. Her timing estimation was spot-on and everything went perfect. She was very communicative throughout the whole process and we were never worried about anything. Highly impressed with her handling of everything. We would definitely have work done here again. Highly, highly recommend!

Came in for a simple door-ding repair (PDR). I specifically asked them to be careful with the paint and even asked about the tools they use. I was told they were using non-metal tools, which turned out not to be accurate. While the dent was removed, the process left a new set of noticeable scratches on the paint from their tools. When I pointed this out, the general manager offered only two options: a 50% refund or a free repaint of the panel. I declined the repaint because I no longer trusted them to work on the vehicle, and accepted the partial refund. Overall, a disappointing experience. I expected better care, professionalism, and accountability from a Tesla-certified chain.

Great experience. Car looks brand new. They also cleaned the exterior and interior before I came to pick up my car. Done quickly too. Need some more work done will definitely be coming back.

Dropped off my car for an estimate. The adjuster said it was totaled out when I'm just missing my back bumper. So I decided to let a friend fix it. Go to get my car and my trunk no longer closes. Which killed my battery. All I got was a very rude "WE DIDN'T TOUCH YOUR TRUNK". Then why am I not receiving my car back in the same condition if all they did was an estimate? Will never go there again and DO NOT RECOMMEND at all. Take your vehicle anywhere else
