A coworker told me about Dutch's a number of years ago and I have patronized their shop for services on a number of occasions over the years, as I have a Mazda that is 12 years old and still going strong. I am so happy for this place, as I always feel confident taking my vehicle here. Great service, great pricing, honest and skilled technicians and I couldn't ask for a better place. There's always great comfort in finding a good auto mechanic shop, dentist and hair salon and I'm certainly set when it comes to the auto mechanics and service at Dutch's!

Dutch's Auto Service is the best auto shop in town! They are speedy, reliable, and fairly priced. Perhaps most importantly, they are trustworthy and I never have to worry about them recommending 1,001 things I didn't know I needed to get me back on the road. The owners, Nan and Crystal and total BOSSES. Everyone that works at the shop is awesome - including the cute pup in the lobby. Highly recommend!

I took my car in to Dutch's to fix a bearing on the wheels that was triggering a sensor in my car to go off, and I also asked for them to take a look at a clicking sound in the engine. Nan was incredible transparent throughout the whole process about not only the cost but also about why it was important to the car. She took a look at the engine and told me exactly what was wrong, explaining she didn't do the kind of work needed but was happy to refer me to people she trusted, as well as a estimate at the cost. Through the whole process I felt taken care of, and I feel empowered going forward seeking this engine repair. I cannot recommend Dutch's highly enough - Madison is lucky to have them!

I was recently referred to Dutch's Auto Service by a family member who raved about the amazing service and friendly atmosphere. I easily set up an appointment by phone, and when I arrived, they got my car in the shop on time. Within 45 minutes, my oil was changed, my tires rotated, fluids topped and I was given a quick synopsis of the future of my brakes. Everyone was extremely friendly, there was no pressure to have any additional work done, and the prices were extremely fair. I will definitely be bringing my car back for all my auto service needs and will sing the praises of Dutch's to all my friends and family! Thank you!

Dutch's Auto Service did a great job with a cheap, quick and honest brake repair. They were honest on what needed to be changed and what could wait for the future. The only complaint can be that they only had availabilities a bit over a week out, so just make sure you give a bit of time to take your car in. I brought my car in and the repair itself was quick. I will definitely be coming back if I have an issue in the future.

I had nothing short of a phenomal experience with the team! Everyone was super friendly, nice, and professional (they even asked me if I wanted to pet the puppers as I am allergic). The prices are set up front and the one on one honest no bull discussion about my cars issues was beyond helpful! All future cars I have I will be going to Dutchs auto if I am in the Madison area. From a satisfied forever customer! Situation: I bought my car from a Honda dealership and took it to Wilde Honda on the East Side for service. I had a feeling my car had been leaking oil but when I brought it up at the dealership they told me it had to be liquid from my AC. When I took my car to the Honda dealership for an oil change and they quoted me (and pressure me into) all types of services for my 2012 crv. I wanted a second opinion and found Dutchs auto. I couldn't have been happier because we found out my car had a recall that was not completed by the previous owner. They gave great advice on what to do after a thorough inspection and I was more than happy to hand over my money!

Very communicative and quick with seeing my vehicle. Up front and clear with the diagnosis, and super fast with the repair. Price for labor seems very reasonable.

I had an amazing experience at Dutch's - I brought my car in for an inspection before driving cross-country, knowing there were a few things wrong with it. Turned out there was a lot more than I even knew, but I was given quotes for everything that was wrong and the crew at Dutch's helped me to conclude that the work needed would probably not be worth it given the value of my car. They then gave recommendations of trustworthy dealers in Wisconsin to shop for a used car, as well as certain makes and models that would be reliable and suitable for me and my preferences. Such a pleasant experience, would definitely recommend Dutch's!!

Nan is terse to the point of rude. I was looking for a reputable shop a bit closer to home than my regular mechanic so I emailed explaining an issue I was having with my 2009 Hummer H3T asking if it was something they could look at. It's probably easy to diagnose with a lift and a flashlight. The repair could range from cheap and easy to very expensive for me and lucrative for her. I anticipated making an appointment. She replied letting me know that they don't work on Hummers. Since H1s, H2s, and H3s are different platforms, I emailed her back to reiterate that it was the H3T (all standard GM, basically a Chevy Colorado). Her only response was that she was aware it's just GM but she won't work on it. No clue why she doesn't want my money, but she doesn't have to worry about me offering it for my other vehicles. I'll keep driving down to my regular guys with great customer service.

My front brakes went out and I needed immediate service. On a friend's recommendation I scheduled at Dutch's. The vehicle was thoroughly inspected. I was informed of everything up front and along the way. They also found a very worn ball joint, which may have saved my life. And it was all completed in just over 24 hours. It's 5 star professional service...and friendly, too.

Have attempted 2 different occasions to schedule appointments with this business for oil change. 3 messages left with my 2 attempts per their instructions on voice mail and never received any return calls. Either they are too busy or just not interested in new customers. There are many reputable auto shops on Northside that are much more responsive.

I’m really grateful for the integrity of the women at Dutch’s. They could’ve easily gotten a full set of breaks out of me, but they were honest about the needs of my vehicle and clearly explained the problem I was having, without making me feel like I was being talked down to. I have had numerous dealerships and auto shops try to talk me into services or upsell me, but that was not the experience I had here. Because of that, they’ve gained a loyal customer!

I recently had my car serviced at Dutch's for the first time. I had heard good things and can confirm that my experience was also very good. It did take a while to get booked for the service but fortunately my needs were not urgent. The work I had done (oil & spark plug change) was done quickly without any fuss. They observed and informed me that that there were no other issues/problems they saw and my car was in good shape. Appreciated that!

I can't say enough good things about Dutch's! I was told by my dealership that I needed my front struts replaced (at $1500-2k) to fix the squeaking noise I was experiencing (at only 50k miles). Dutch's took a look and said that I definitely don't need that and they simply applied a lubricant and fixed the issue! It's nice to finally have found a spot where I don't feel taken advantage of, and I know I can trust them.

Really great experience here for spark plugs, oil change/tire rotation, and bettering the functioning of my windows. The work was done very well and efficiently. I had an appointment and the work was done in a matter of a few hours. I appreciate that they are to-the-point and have fair pricing. A few of the recent negative comments speak to voice messages not being returned. Well, if those people listened to the entirety of the recording on Dutch's voicemail box, they would know to send Dutch's a text to follow-up. I had an incredibly easy experience discussing my needs and scheduling an appointment via text message. Thank you, Nan & team!

Dutch's is awesome! Being able to support a woman-owned business and working with a woman mechanic improves the car maintenance experience in every way. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I trust their expertise and advice. I will be going back to Dutch's for all maintenance from now on. I will no longer dread dealing with car things, which was always a miserable experience in the past, but won't be anymore.

Straight forward approach with honesty in regards to extending the life of my car as long as I can. As someone who only drives a 2500-3000 miles a year, I only do one oil change annually. I came in with the intention of doing an oil change and addressing my concern with a rattle/squealing in the front end which turned out to be a bad water pump. After a simple explanation of what the end game could be if I didn't take care of it, my decision to replace was that much easier. My car sounds and runs good as now, I just have to take the advice and drive it just a little bit more. Dutch's is definitely my new shop, and especially since it's only a few miles from home.
