Spare yourself the time and inconvenience of going to jiffy lube, particularly this location. We got an oil change on Friday and the next time we started the car after parking it the car shook terribly and sounded like it was going to explode. For reference it’s a fairly new and very well cared for Toyota Camry, so a very reliable vehicle. Given this information we had a hard time believing that the issues were unrelated to the service we received at jiffy lube less than 48 hours prior. After towing it to a third party service center, they told us that the engine noises were likely due some of the oil burning off while sitting in the driveway, however that it was easily the sloppiest oil change job he’s ever seen. He said that a lot of the oil was just spilled around the engine and never actually made it into the oil pan. We called jiffy lube to let them know what was going on this morning and they adamantly denied any possibility of wrongdoing on their part. The manager Tyler was extremely hostile and defensive and then loosened up when he realized we know what we’re talking about when it comes to cars and he’s not likely going to be able sweep this under the rug. I called him to update him on the diagnosis, let him know this is the last time he’d be hearing from us, and politely suggest they hold themselves to a higher standard and he goes “so there’s nothing wrong with the car” and immediately hung up. I get it, he’s glad he’s off the hook, but the customer service was absolutely abysmal. We’re all glad that there’s nothing wrong with the car, but towing to another auto shop and dealing with Tyler’s unpleasantry was all avoidable had completed the oil change with a little more care. Needless to say we will no longer be going to Jiffy Lube and I suggest you do the same.
