Went in to have rear break pads replaced after the dealership indicated they were a problem. Waited for two hours and found out that they had done absolutely nothing on my car and came out with a quote that was x10 as much as initially indicated ($1200) and found the hood up and the front wheels off. After checking with the dealership, not only did I find out that the wheel bearing they indicated to be loose was not so, but the break flush they were planning on doing would have adversely impacted my car. Google reviews have shown similar instances of going in for a simple fix and coming out with a $1000 bill.

We went to check to see how much it would be to fix the break lines on our truck. They quoted $1,100, which is at least $500 more than anywhere else we got a quote. They told us it would be 3 hours of labor and on the bill for the quote they tried to list 11 hours of labor. Even complained that it sucks to do break lines and how they do not like to do it. So now i understand the up charge.... Just beware and make sure to shop around and ask questions.

I just had my pick up serviced at Car X. It had a leak in the rear differential. They got my pick up in right away, checked it out, reported to me what the problem was, and then unlike any other service company I have been to asked me if I wanted to see the problem while they had it on the lift. I said of course. This wonderful young man took me over and showed me where the leak was coming from, what the part is, and what it would take to fix. He got me a quote right away and asked if I wanted them to fix it right then or did I want to schedule. The leak is fixed and the truck runs great. This is a new business. They are very personable and professional. Great job! Thank you so much for all you did for me.

They were great he first few times I went there. I own a vehicle near 100,000 miles and want to keep it running until at least 200,000. So, I took their word. Well, that was wrong. Had my transmission flushed, which I ignorantly assumed meant replacing the filter. Next time I came in, they told me they did not replace my filter and they would have to drain several quarts and then refill, plus the price of labor. They could have done this all at once, saving me hundreds of dollars, but did not. This past time they told me my power steering fluid needed to be changed, I declined. I had it changed at 75,000 miles and my book says 150,000. Levels are all fine. They do the work well and are very good mechanics, but they will suck every last dime out of you if they can.

The heat shield underneath the car became loose, and we needed to go somewhere that was open on Sat so that I could take it in to get fixed because of my work schedule. Not only was CarX open, you can schedule appointments online, which I love! K.C. was super friendly and helpful from the get go, and they were able to look at our car right away. They figured out the problem, and offered different solutions (one was to order a replacement part that would be there Monday to reattach the heat shield, another was the wire the shield to the car). They did inspect the car as well and found a couple of things that could also be fixed on it, priced everything out, but didn't pressure us into doing anything else. Overall, was super happy with my visit, and would def go back for some of those other repairs!

The manager KC is great. Very personable and knowledgeable, and skilled at explaining things in a way that makes sense without talking down. I took my car in when I found a bolt in my tire. They were able to patch the hole quickly and cheaply, and also warned me that parts of my exhaust system were coming loose/rusting through. I declined repairs that day, but sure enough it failed right where he said it would just a few days later. Full repairs would have cost more than my very old car was worth, but KC was able to work me to find a custom solution that would keep it running without breaking the bank. I'll be happy to head back here in the future.

Recently, I took my car to Car-X to fix a rattling noise. When I first picked my car back up, I was worried since I was having the same issue as I drove home. Doug and the mechanics at the shop were very helpful, taking the car for another test drive with me, explaining the rationale behind the initial repair, and working further to correct the rattling I was hearing. In the end, it appeared that both repairs were related to the same issue, and I was very satisfied with the fair price after everything had been completed. I was very impressed with the customer service as well; everyone involved seemed to genuinely care that I had a good experience. Thank you!

I contacted CarX when I had a flat and thought I needed a new tire. He quoted me what a new tire would be and that he could have it done by the next morning. I work early so I told him I'd drop it off before they close so it's already there. When I dropped it off they checked if it was repairable, and it turns out it was. He explained the whole process of how they patch a tire and find the leaks. I was in and out in under an hour and only paid $33 compared to $150+ for a new tire. Luke was very helpful, got me in quickly and was very honest about potential options and prices. I will definitely be back!

Had very good experiences here in the past, but am very frustrated as I brought my car in a few weeks ago with the check engine light on and was told i needed to replace my evap cannister for $1400 for parts and labor. Less than a week later after barely using the car, the light is back on and they make me a new appointment. When i arrive they tell me that the warranty only covers the evap repairs, so looking for any other issue will cost me more for labor, even though I was literally just there and they supposedly ran a diagnostic and identified the evap as the only issue. They test the evap system and say its working fine, this was three days ago and the light is on again. Really disappointed that they expect me to pay more when it seems unclear if the expensive repair they said I needed was actually the problem, and they will not do any more looking into it without charging me more for labor. I can only recommend this place for tires, I would look elsewhere for other issues.

They were nice to me and got me in right away. But I didn't feel overall satisfied. A few days later my car had the exact same issues I had brought it in for. I spent a fortune at carx. They charged me the most money and didn't fix the real issue with my car. Again, I don't want to bash anyone. But I feel really let down. It seems they are so focused on being fast that they failed to look close enough. I had a broken radiator cap that ended up being diagnosed by a different company later. I am disappointed that I came here first and got charged over 500 bucks and they failed to fix the real problem.

Every place I called quoted me between $20-$75.00 just to look at my SUV. I called Car X and they told me they will look at it for FREE and to come in. I arrived 10 minutes later and got my vehicle inspected immediately which took less than 30 minutes!! Nice waiting room with free coffee and a vending machine for soda. The mechanic found the issue I called about and said they could fix it now!! I CHOSE to make an appointment due to having to pick up my son. The price was VERY reasonable! The associate assured me the issue was very minor and I didn’t even have to fix it if I didn’t want to! Most places would never tell you that!! This was my first time here it was great!! Highly recommend and will be back for all my cars needs!!

I had struts, shocks and front disk brakes replaced on my automobile in April. Car no longer feels like I'm driving on cobblestones and the brakes are fine. My car was in the shop a day after I made the appointment. The mechanics were friendly and provided clear explanations, including the possibility that a sway bar might have to be replaced (it wasn't). Anyway, 5 stars.

Been here three times now, and the guys working there are friendly, honest, and don't appear to be giving me the runaround just to make a buck. They've told me that I didn't need my brakes fixed when I got them checked (although the dealership said I did) for another 15k miles, so that saved me a lot of $! They're super fast—usually I can get in within a day or two once I call, and when I bring it in, they typically call within an hour or two with updates. Check their website for coupons too; I got all new tires in the fall, and there was a $50 off coupon that they happily honored. Price for the tires and every service I've had has been super reasonable. I will continue to be a customer here :)

My car was dropped off at this facility by AAA the night before this place even opened I’ve Never dealt with this CAR-X in all the 25 years I’ve been in Wisconsin, I drove to the facility so I can see who my children was dealing with through text messages when I got there my car was already in the bay I was all wowed out and instantly started bragging to all of my friends on the phone and when i first walked in this facility I was about to grab me a cup of what I thought was fresh coffee the man who appeared to be working behind the counter told me the coffee was old and it was yesterdays coffee and had been sitting there thank you Jesus for that man because as a cancer patient it’s bad enough I can’t drink nothing cold but to drink old coffee from yesterday that man warned me that the coffee was not fresh made me now love this place instantly !!!!!!!! My son and his wife who dropped the car off received a thorough inspection that was texted to their phones I’ve never seen in all the 56 years I’ve been on this earth they mentioned all the dings and cracks and outside and inside a thorough investigation was given lots and lots of high labor charges after he quoted me 2 grand and higher I said i need something to get me going so then he said okay then lets do this but you won’t have no heat but we can fix the issue so now we are at 978 K C told me there were coupons when I asked him he was just this calm cool young man!! I got IN his nerves with all my talking and going on and on about car crap but hey this man got my truck in IMMEDIATELY he didn’t tell me to wait until next week he had my truck ready by 5:30 i just I didn’t have a ride to him but in the morning I will have a ride to him I Wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH K C FOR BEING GREAT AND BEING YOU
