I have been dealing with Gerber since September after having damage from a fallen tree. They were always behind schedule and not honest about it. Picked up my vehicle in November and there was damage not there when I dropped it off. They stated it happened during their repairs but they would make it right. They shouldn't have even called me to pick it up until it was fixed. This past week they finally took my car in and the "fix" was absolutely horrible. The manager Joshua stated the parts needed are not available but they will figure something out and make it right (again). A quick Google search and I found the parts. Supposedly, Joshua is going to be calling soon to have it taken in again. AGAIN. This makes the third time I've taken it up there since the work was suppose to be done in November. I've lost my patience and my trust. I do not recommend.

Did very good work fixing my hood, fenders and paint. Downside: they left my cold side inter cooler tube entirely disconnected, and instead of trying to address it, it appears they disconnected the battery long enough to clear to code (clock was off by 3 hours) and they didn’t tell me anything. It wasn’t until I was half way home the code came up for high injector flow (can also be interpreted as LOW air flow). Tracked it down and fixed it but I would expect better of a professional shop.

My insurance company recommended that I use Gerber over the other repair shop. I used in town. This is the second time my 2010 Mazda six was indiscriminately hit while parked and this time it was rear ended. 2010 was the best year for the Mazda six and my car is in immaculate condition. The rear bumper had to be replaced as did some work on the trunk that wouldn’t close properly . The accident happened on 6/1/2022 and pictures were taken and sent to my insurance company but I wasn’t able to get an appointment with Gerber for another two weeks. In that time there are no other problems with my vehicle except the damage to the trunk and bumper. I drop the car off on 6/15/2022 and within two weeks the repairs were done. Here lies the problem. when I picked up my vehicle and open the driver side door, the panel that covers the controls for my electric seats, fell off and the wires were just hanging down. I pointed this out and was informed it probably happened at the time of the accident. I probably would’ve agreed if I had taken the car in within days but two weeks later, I took it in and all that time there is never any problems with the aforementioned problem to the seat. I was told that my Mazda because of its unique seat color, which is beige, might be hard to locate but they would do their best at finding a replacement seat at some junkyard they would try to find. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy that my immaculate car inside and out even after repairs now had a damaged seat. I knew that nothing would come of it and there would be no repairs to that seat, but I was hopeful that would not be the case. I called once and they assured me they were doing their best to do something but I never heard from them. I had to initiate the call and I haven’t heard back since and now here we are February 2023. I do believe the car is supposed to be returned in the condition that it was presented with since there was no damage to the seat I do believe the onus was on them to fix it and return it, and if they couldn’t find a seat, then they should’ve been some kind of reduction in the cost such as me not having to pay my deductible they could’ve covered that. My deductible is not much about $250. It’s not a big deal. It’s not like I can’t afford it but of course that’s not the point. The personnel and Gerber were kind, courteous and professional, but I do believe that the damage to the car on the seat was done in the shop but of course there’s no way to prove that it’s just interesting that there is no problems for two weeks and then they have the car for two weeks and then the seats broken. I expect nothing to come from this review, except me cathartically processing my disappointment. I rarely write reviews, and I do believe this is the second one in my life but as I get older, I find myself slightly disappointed. And by the way, my car has extremely low mileage and is quite sought after by dealerships as a trade-in that I might have done in the future but of course that does change now that the seat is damaged. It’s no longer in mint condition. Update 8/7/2923: I was contacted by Gerber auto body within 24 hours of posting this review. I just haven’t had the wherewithal to do an update. I was told they had secured the part that was needed and if I would be kind enough to take down my review, I felt that that would be something I could do If the situation worked out. I was told I will be contacted in a week or so when the part came in, but it was on its way. But let’s not take down your review I’m thinking because things haven’t been fixed yet. Everything is as it was. I am sad to report I never heard back from Gerber auto body again. My other car, which is new ,has suffered from damage to the bumper when a retreaded tire from a semi trailer flew off under the undercarriage and the bumper needs to be replaced . I will be taking it to my insurance company and it will not be going to Gerber.
