Gills Point S Tire Service went beyond great service for my 91 year old mother. The rear tire was flat on her wheelchair van she has to drive my paralyzed brother. (No,she doesn't drive, family and friends do). All the tires were weather checked and cracked and I couldn't inflate the flat. I couldn't find the spare because of the modifications. Two Gill's employees went out of their way to get the van to the shop. Even if it was only several blocks it's refreshing to see some businesses still care!

Needed new tires, decided I also wanted new wheels. Went into Gills and talked to Juan. I explained what I wanted and he found them! I ordered them with a week timeline and 2 days later they called! Needless to say I went in right away and got my new wheels and tires! The appointment even took less time than estimated! I’m beyond satisfied with the customer service from start to finish! Will definitely be back and highly recommend! Thanks guys! You’re all very much appreciated!

Brought my truck here to get it aligned, and they quoted me 5400 dollars to get it fixed before it could get aligned. Said my strut and suspension needed to be replaced because it was leaking air (passenger side) not knowing I just changed it the day before on the driver's side, and said the cost of the part was 986 dollars! I just bought the same part at autozone for 540.... not to mention they said it was leaking which its not, my truck hasn't lowered a bit and sat for two days, And they said my compressor is constantly running to compensate for the leak but I just replaced the compressor and know what it sounds like when its running and hasnt ran since it replaced the air when i worked on it a week ago? Not to mention they said i needed new wheel ball bearings, my truck hasn't made any grinding or whinning noises and has no play in the tored when jacked up, where did they get this idea??? I dont know. Also said I needed a new rotor and break pads, I just changed my strut assembly and my rotors had no grooves and my pads still had roughly 50 percent left on them. The guy at the front was nice but I think the mechanics in the bays might be a little lazy to give that big of a quote with little and incorrect information. If I didnt know what I was talking about these guys could've got 5400 dollars off me SMH! Also a 190 dollar shop environment fee!? Hmm expensive rags... rip off.

Took my car here to check out why my Nokian One tires (500 miles), that were barely used /under warranty , and fraying from the sidewalls.. and to-address a code my dash was displaying. (2 issues) they didn’t fix.. This shop would not honor my warranty and told me I had to go back to the shop I bought the Nokian One tires at in St. John’s. As they can’t help me... which I did do (after this 1st and last visit) & thankfully the Gil’s point S shop up there took care of my fraying tires and got me new tires and said that this Point S shop should have handled it, instead of passing the buck.. St. John’s Gil point S. Rep also commented that was not good company practice.. The code my car was displaying was supposedly fixed by replacing a part in my evap system and a new gas cap, he suggested I buy.$700+ . Picked my car up at the end of the day and drove my car 1 block down Stark and the same code and puttering started up in my car. I immediately pulled back into the parking lot and told the tall guy with the gray hair and he was very rude to me. He said that I could leave the car there and that they would look at it later, and I wasn’t about to throw out almost another $800 to have them look at it. So I drove home. Before going here ,I looked up what the code could possibly be on the Subaru chat forum(possible spider webs ) in the evap system..I mentioned it to the head mechanic ,he laughed at me and said he’d look into it.. whatever they did, didn’t fix my car so I took it to Subaru the next day. Turned out the Subaru tech also looked at the Subaru forum and he vacuumed out my car evap system and I had to pay another $750 😂 for that … all because of spiderwebs. Damn spiders.. There was a nice guy that rotated my tires there & that was the only highlight of my visit . I’m still on the look out for an honest , reliable autoshop that won’t take advantage of hard working honest people.

When coming to Point S, I was kindly greeted by Cody . All work that I thought I needed to have done didn’t need to be done. They were very transparent about what needed to be addressed. They took pictures of the work and made it very clear to me. They were able to immediately get to all repairs and were time efficient! I am over the moon with the care of their staff! Amazing Service! Honest! Friendly! Professional! Took in a vehicle for a second look after not so Honest One claimed the vehicle needed new pistons (though there were no sounds indicating piston issues), that there was metal in the oil (but could provide no proof), said new tires were needed (despite Les Schwab saying days before the tires were about 75%) and overall provided a very shotty "estimate" for the supposed repairs. Not so Honest One even said it was an $800 car and we had been taken advantage of. Upon taking it to Gills Point S, we were told they were unable to find any of the issues that Not So Honest One had indicated needed to be repaired on the vehicle. In fact, we were told the car we purchased was "decent" for an older vehicle and it just needed to be driven. The only thing they could find wrong with the vehicle was that it would eventually need struts. Will definitely return to Gills!

I was getting ready for a road trip when I discovered a screw in my back tire. I drove here, hoping they could repair or patch it. To my delight, my car was in the garage and being worked on within just 10 minutes! I anticipated a charge of around $20-30 for the patch, but to my surprise, it was completely free. I was back on the road with no cost at all! Thank you so much! I really wish I had cash to tip at the time. Excellent service all around! I definitely will be back for future services!

I have been going here for over 20 years. Since they changed owners, it has gone down hill. I came in for an oil change and was informed I needed new rear brakes soon because it had 3 percent left. I was quoted 780.00. I took it to a different shop for a second opinion and found out the brakes did not need replacing, just had dust build up. I will never go there again! They lost a good customer. Dishonesty ends in ruin!

We broke down in the intersection in front of your business on a Sunday. Your mechanic showed up, off duty and helped do a quick assessment of my Rogue- on his day off, scheduled me for repair the next morning and was generally helpful and pleasant! Service the next morning was speedy. The whole team was amazing.
