I took my car for inspection of my brakes to Gold Canyon Motorworks on Kings Ranch road in Gold Canyon. Jerry checked my brakes throughly and said they were go to. If I had taken my car some where else they would have charged me a lot of unnecessary work and money. Thanks Jerry for your professionalism and honesty. You have my business forever and will recommend your Place to everyone I know. Thanks again!

Stopped in after a hike because we caught a rock in the brake rotor. They helped us quickly and were so nice. Dennis was kind and efficient, even recommending us another place to hike! Great local service, super affordable, highly recommend.

Gold Canyon Motorworks is a hidden gem off Kings Ranch Road. Extremely pleased with the customer service and automotive expertise of mechanics. Trustworthy and fairly priced work. Delighted to have such a great auto shop in our neighborhood.

I am a Realtor and was showing homes in the area when my check engine light came on. My car also started shaking and would not accelerate very fast. I knew something was very wrong. I finished up the showings and thankfully found Gold Canyon Motorworks nearby. They helped me right away and were able to diagnose the issue quickly. They found out I needed a new ingnition/engine coil so they got one ordered right away. I hadn't had breakfast and was stuck there waiting, so the very friendly woman in the office was kind enough to drive me down the road to get lunch while I waited which I VERY much appreciated! I wish I could remember their names - but everyone from the woman in the office to the mechanics were all very friendly and made sure I knew exactly what the issue was with my car. They had it fixed in about an hour and a half and had good prices! I am so thankful for them saving the day.

This is my first visit there. It was on a Monday. Without an appointment they squeezed me it to diagnose my warning light and gave me a call by mid day to discuss. I thought the price was fair and the work, to my knowledge, good. I will be back again as my old car issues pop up. Folks are very friendly and hard working. Beware, No mask wearing!

I've had a check engine light on for quite a while. Went down to gold canyon motor works so that I wasn't going to be scammed by a dealer and I still was. When I first came in they told me just to drive it until my light came on again and then call and make an appointment. The next day the light went on I made an appointment and got my car in. $700 later I thought my car was fixed and I was the happiest person alive because now I can take it to emissions and get my tags. Two days after picking up my car my check engine light comes on again. I take it back to them and I am again told to drive until the light comes on getting in my car while being told this the light is already on. Finally I am told that my second O2 sensor is broken and that I will be contacted later for a price and to make an appointment. It's been two weeks since then... obviously because I am a young female with no knowledge I can't seem to get my car fixed. I had heard wonderful thing about this place by my experience wasn't good.

We just moved to Gold Canyon and love Gold Canyon Motorworks. Our 2006 Toyota Sienna was overheating they found the problem and repaired it. We are blessed to have a mechanic nearby and we got it repaired for a fair price. My husband was happy. We highly recommend this mechanic .

Was receiving a P0171 error code on my OBD reader and could no figure out what was causing the issue. Thought it was a 02 sensor and could not remove it. Went to Goldcanyon Motorworks and they found the issue and repaired. They were very serviceable, fairly priced, and quick in their diagnostics; thank you all for being there to help!!

I've brought several of my vehicles to Ronnie and he's never let me down . He's been able to fix each of them in timely fashion. His work and diagnostic abilities are out of this world phenomenal .

I have been taking my '99 Pontiac Grand am to GC Motorworks for about 3 years and recently had to take it in for a coolant leak. To repair it would have cost about $900 for parts and labor!! Not sure the car is worth $900!!.Instead of trying to talk me into the repair or trying to scare me into what could happen if I didn't get i repaired, Ronnie- a mechanic who'd been there 17 years and just recently bought the business- gave me a few suggestions that would help fix the leak at least for a while and cautioned me to keep an eye on my coolant level. The mechanics there are super nice. They explain things, don't try and sell u something you don't need and don't talk down to you. As a single woman I've had that "talk down" experience and don't appreciate it nor do I go back. Some people may not have had that experience or think it's a big deal-it is!! Can't say really enough things about how great this place is!! Highly recommend it to anyone needing car repairs!!

Unfortunately, the new ownership does not observe the same standard of business practices as the previous owners. They tried to do work on my car that I specifically asked them not to. Not cool.

The AC stopped blowing cold in our 4 year old truck after just having the compressor replaced last month (not at this establishment-at the Chevy dealer!) we pulled in without an appointment, just a phone call saying “bring it on by”! Long story short, the talented mechanic diagnosed and fiddled (my laymen’s terms) and we had our cold AC blowing again in August in AZ! So impressed with their kindness and talent! Although I have only ever taken my cars and trucks to the dealer…. That ends with meeting Ron!

Absolutely the worst place to trust a classic car too! Simply the most horrible experience imaginable. New owner is totally clueless and refuses to accept responsibility for damage to our 1999 Mercedes Benz classic. Previous owner was a jewel and a fountain of knowledge. This new guy is clueless and a real danger to your car. Beware! Please help if you have any issues with this company.

This place is amazing. The owner is very honest, I took my Discovery to Land Rover and they were quoting me $10,000 and couldn't guarantee to have my car fixed. I took it to GC Motors and the owner came out looked at it and fixed the problem immediately. I'm grateful for an honest place like this to take my vehicles. Thankfully I saved $10,000 and I found my new shop.

Had a 2018 Elantra throw a rod through the block of the engine. Our normal mechanic was too far of a tow so we came here. Gold Canyon Motors got us a great, low mileage engine installed quickly and the car is driving perfectly again. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area looking for quality work.

Ronnie the owner told me to meet him at the shop at 10 am on Saturday for warranty work. He installed a faulty cam sensor in my car 2 weeks ago and he claims he finally got a factory replacement. It took him 2 weeks to get the sensor. I showed up at 9:40am Saturday and waited until 12pm. RONNIE DID NOT SHOW UP. When I called friday night to find a time I could show up to get that fixed, he told me that he needed to run into town to the junkyard Saturday morning to get some parts and that he would meet me at the shop at 10am to swap out the sensor. THEY ARE INSTALLING JUNK YARD PARTS ON YOUR CARS!! They have continuously taken advantage of my patience and do not care that they are continuously wasting my time and money driving clear out to them. I live in Mesa and Gold Canyon Motors was recommended by people who know Ronnie personally, he's lost all of our business. I do NOT recommend this place. I originally came here in December 2024. I had them replace my rear main seal and I was told it would take 2 days. It took them 16 days and I was never called with any sort of update, I had to call them to get updates but each time they would just say "we are working on it". When the car was finally done I showed up to pick it up and he tried to charge me extra, the old owners wife was there helping him and she felt bad for me and brought the price back down to $1200. May2025 I brought my car back for an oil leak assuming it was an issue with the rear main seal they installed. He once again told me it would take 2 days to fix. It sat for 1 full week before they started to work on it and I had to call all the time to make sure they were actually working on it. After 1 full week of it sitting there, Ronnie told me the rear main or the rear cover was indeed leaking again and that it would take another 2 days to fix. He pulled the transmission to repair it and found it was something else leaking. He misdiagnosed the leak but proceeded to charge me for the time they put into it anyways, even though it was not my fault he misdiagnosed the problem. The cam sensor was leaking and he installed a new sensor and i was called by his new office person, Katie, and was told to come pick it up. I showed up and the car was on the lift, torn apart and still leaking. They installed a cracked sensor. 2 days later they called me to come get it and said it was fixed but now I'm having issues with this new sensor. They still have not fixed the problem and I don't think they ever will.

Katie and the team went above and beyond to help my mother when her vehicle was towed in late one afternoon. Coming from an automotive industry professional, I can appreciate great and thorough service and workmanship! Thank you again for helping her and being so kind, caring, and prompt!

My go-to garage. Jerry and Laurie ran an honest, professional outfit. When Ronny took over, he continued the same great honest service. Not only do the great mechanics work on late models but my 29 yr old Bronco and Jeep are well-maintained too. Love these guys!
