Spoke with Bruce first then delivered my pistons to Brent with very simple instructions to make sure pistons were installed on rods the correct direction and to be sure to put the numbered piston to matching rod because I spent time matching weights to rods but NO! pick them up and they pressed them on without even considering the big sharpy pen with the number I wrote on them. I went all the way over to Greeley when Loveland has a shop and Fort Collins has one too because they were supposed to be good. Now my number 8 rod has the 1 piston on it. Called them and while they were apologetic they didn't make it right, only offered to move them to the correct rod with the risk of breaking a piston. I'd expect more attention to detail because who ever pressed them on couldn't make a correct burger at Wendy's

Rex and the rest of the team, completed my IHC 152 valve job quickly, in one week and back the next. Even found OEM head gasket set. Everything was clean and sealed in bags, including replaced parts. Excellent service, thanks again.

This shop was a NIGHTMARE to deal with, they destroyed my head. I have a 1987 Mercedes diesel, and I needed to have the head pressure tested and wanted to see if it was warped. That is all I said they could do, and made sure that they understood they needed to talk to me before doing any work beyond this. The car is not worth much and I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be too expensive to fix. I stopped by their shop and found out how expensive the work was going to be. I said “DO NOT DO ANY WORK until I talk with my father and confirm that we want to do this”. They said “OK!” (This is a super simple concept, and I told them this several times). I show up a week later to find my entire head 100% disassembled and completely broken down. Everything they could have touched, they messed with in direct defiance of my instructions. The head was in good shape (past tense, it is now scrap). I was probably going to bolt the head back into the car as is, but now it is literally in dozens of pieces and is nothing but trash. They gave me a bag of nuts/bolts and valves. I feel this shop really screwed up.

GAM has been a pivotal part of our racing team for many years now. Without their expertise and guidance on circle track and road racing motors we would have given up long ago. Hard to quit when they set you up to win with great customer service and quality!

I have been a mechanic since about 1976. I ran my own engine shop in Washington state before getting activated for Iraq and being forced to shut it down. In Washington state, I used Bud's machine. When I relocated back to my home town of Longmont Colorado, I built a really nice 36 by 60 3 bay shop and moved all of my equipment to Colorado. I was looking for a quality machine shop. I found two really good machine shops. One machine shop is in Loveland and GMA in Greeley. I was not impressed with many of the other machine shops in Northern Colorado. Many had both higher prices and inept counter interaction skill sets. I tried a few machine shops in Denver, but the bait and switch tactics and traffic was too much BS. I started doing business with Bruce at GMA. Bruce has impeccable and seasoned customer interaction skills and is a joy to do business with. They run an extremely clean, well stocked, and organized machine shop. The head and crank grinder dude is spectacular. When I need hard to find top quality engine parts for a reasonable price, they can actually compete with the internet companies, and will have it the next day. Good well rounded machine shops are hard to find. GMA is a really busy shop because they have an excellent reputation and do the best work available. At a minimum, I use them exclusively for crankshaft grinding, and EPW engine parts. They are going to sell you the best products in the industry and build you an engine that will last a very long time. Anyways, do not hesitate if you need a one of the best machine shops in the state of Colorado...

They decked and completely rebuilt the heads for my 454 and they were reasonably priced. The work was super high quality and they are a great resource as far as build advice goes. I have to give Rex special thanks on this build as he has been my primary source of advice, and he has never moved me in the wrong direction. I highly recommend this place.

Total Crooks! I sent in a 302 Mexican block that was bored .040 over. These blocks are rare as they have a thicker wall in the block casting. I was told that the cylinder walls had grooves in them and they would swap out the block I had and bore it out. I sent all of the necessary parts when I delivered my block. This included a one-piece rear main seal. Older Ford small blocks had a 2 piece rear main (crankshaft) seal and were prone to leaking. I installed the motor and within a few months noticed that it was leaking from the rear main seal. They did not use the one-piece seal that I provided for them. Do yourself a HUGE favor and take any automotive machine work to a different shop to have it done. This shop cannot be trusted to do the work they tell you they will do!

They cleaned, crack checked, bored, honed, balanced crank, rods and pistons and complete head work. I assembled this 360 then dropped into my 85 RC and it started right up. Runs like a freight train. Thank you guys.

read the full review please Had good experiences when it came to finding nitrous parts. Past that though they machined my engine block horribly. Bore was not straight, and there were large scratches in the blocks deck surface. After driving another hour and a half to ask them to fix it their response was, "that's just how it is because it's made out of aluminum". Would rather have had them turn me away and not take $800 then waste my time and money. Edit: After posting the review, the manager of GAM called me, apologized and refunded me part of the cost of the work. They do value customers, customer service, and the services they provide.
