Can't say enough about Jay and his team. I purchased my first BMW recently, and I gotta say I was completely unfamiliar with these cars until I brought mine into Hance's to have an initial inspection. Not only did Jay perform the inspection, but he gave me a thorough education about the car-- Its quirks, its features, its pros and cons. I appreciated his blunt honesty and guidance regarding what aspects of the car to keep an eye on as my mileage increases. When it was time to have a large repair job done, Jay was patient with the dealer warranty process and offered fair pricing, quick service, and an unmatched parts and labor warranty. So thankful I found Hance's and I will be coming here as long as I continue to own German automobiles.

One of the biggest objections to purchasing a luxury car or SUV, is? Who is going to keep it running! We all know that the local DFW dealership service centers for German built cars will have you questioning your decision. But wait, there is a solution, Jim, Jay & Company! We own a Audi Q5, Porsche Cayenne, & a Macan. Hance's has made our dream a reality, "Yes", we can afford to drive luxury because they take a realistic approach to maintaining your vehicle. For example, we ran the Audi Q5 out of gas, "don't do that,... never ever!", it spent the turbo, fuel pump, and injectors, An Audi dealership quoted us 2x what Hance was able to do for half. The Audi has never ran better. Closing note; I learned from Jim that all 93 octane is not the same, please take time and research what fuel stations sell Top Tier fuel, don't find yourself waiting in line at a Sam's Club buying super unleaded, it is not the same as Shell, Exxon, or Chevron's 93 octane. As Jim said, don't look at saving $0.30 - $0.50 cents per gallon, put the very best fuel in your high performance engines. This company is truly the best of the best, now go buy your dream car!

Though I ultimately chose to take my vehicle to another shop, I would like to say that Jay is an honest, experienced, and competent professional. He quickly diagnosed my vehicle trouble, was able to clearly explain what needed to be done and the associated cost. He was very patient and took the time to make sure I understood my options and risks related to my issue. I got a better estimate from another shop and I went with them because I felt very comfortable with them also and I just went with what I could afford at that time. But even with that, Jay was still incredibly gracious and didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. I would highly recommend his shop on customer service alone, and will definitely consider them in the event I ever need work again.

This is the place to bring your car for repairs. I would like additionally add ⭐️s to this rating! I’ve been overcharged and underwhelmed when bringing my car in for repairs at other shops, but not here! Jay Jackson is honest and reasonable, clearly explaining necessary repairs and options for getting the work done. There are no surprises or last minute extra charges. The prices are fair and reasonable. Hance’s does quality work quickly and professionally. Jay knows cars! If you’ve been unimpressed by your previous car repair experiences, you haven’t been to Hance’s! I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, and I actually asked Jay how and where I could post a comment on his excellent work and superb service in order recommend his work to others! Unlike other shops that offer a small discount for a positive review, this recommendation is unsolicited and completely voluntary. I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with the work, the price, and the service. I feel like I’m talking to a friend when I discuss repairs with Jay. I won’t take my car any other place from now on. If you are having a problem with your car, get to Hance’s. It really is that good.

I highly recommend Hance European for anyone who drives a German car. They have worked on my BMW for the last 7 years, and are very competent and trustworthy. When Jay gives you a quote, you can count on paying that price, and if they find something else that wasn't expected, he always calls to tell you and get approval. I wouldn't take my car anyplace else. They have a great reputation in the community; I became a client because a friend recommended them to me. Now I'm "that friend" who recommends them to everyone who asks.

STAY FAR AWAY! This could be the worst auto repair experience I've ever gone through in my 20 plus years owning a car. Took them multiple weeks to try and attempt to diagnose an air suspension issue and even purchased and installed parts without my consent ($400 for a battery I didn't need.) Hance's European completely misdiagnosed the problem and told me the newly installed front struts I just purchased were leaking and needed to be replaced but the rears were fine. After patiently waiting for the replacement parts to be shipped and the service to be done I was finally called saying the car was fixed and ready for pick up. When I arrived there was a surprise note on the invoice stating that the rear struts were also leaking and needed to be replaced as well! Come to find out after a second opinion it was a bad air compressor the entire time and the struts were perfectly fine. What a giant waste of time, labor and money from my wallet. Obviously Hance's European repair shop is lacking in numerous areas including general mechanical repair knowledge and diagnostic skills but they do posses horrible customer service and communication skills. This business will overcharge and prey on its unsuspecting customers. Please AVOID this repair shop.

I have been bringing my car here for years. They always get the job done quickly and professionally, and at a reasonable price. No surprises, ever. Tremendous customer service. Honest people. They actually bailed me out of the botched DIY repair and did the work for no charge. Five stars is not enough for Hance's. PS DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO FAKE NEGATIVE REVIEWS - it's just a shakedown attempt by fraudsters.

When Jay Hance opened his shop on Lover’s Lane (before his current location now located on Mockingbird Ln.) I just had be curious to see how good his business is. This location was only two blocks from my house which was extremely convenient for me. At the time I owned a 2010 Nissan Murano LE and although he advertises European in his brand, I thought I would see if he could help me with something very simple. My downstairs tenants at that time were moving out and on their last day on the property one of them decided to piss me off by breaking one of the fog lamps. I called Nissan for a quote for the replacement part and they were going to charge me a ton to get it replaced and installed. I then went to Hance and he said to look up the part on eBay, purchase it since it was way cheaper and the actual OEM part that the dealership sells, and bring my vehicle to his shop. When the part arrived, I called him and he said to bring my car over right away so he can quickly install it. When I got there, he took the new fog lamp casing and had one of his mechanics quickly change it out. It took less than 10 minutes. I offered him some money but Hance didn’t want to take it since it was such a quick fix. A year later, I bought myself a new 2013 Land Rover LR4 HSE Lux and his mechanic has been working on my vehicle since. Hance always encouraged me to maximize my warranty for anything that was still covered by it BUT once I was out of warranty, I would go to him and he took good care of me. I recently brought my LR4 to him for my rear breaks to be replaced and he told me to wait until my break light comes on. He went out of his way to educate me that I should trust the technology of my LR4’s sensors and that once the break light indicated that the rear breaks were worn out, he told me to bring it in for servicing. Two months ago placed an order for a new 2018 Land Rover Discovery HSE Lux and you know who’s going to install my mud flaps (much cheaper to purchase online instead of the dealership)? Hance’s European. Jay has worked hard to get these reviews. He does not convince his customers to give his business 5 star reviews. He earned them himself and people, like myself, go out of their way to write these reviews. His business is definitely 5 stars because 1) of how he communicates to his customer with honesty and integrity, 2) his professionalism of himself and his staff, and 3) his passion in assessing the situation and creating a solution. From my experience, he provides 4 for 4 service: the best quality service, on time delivery, under or on budget, and always to the client’s satisfaction. Jay has earned these 5 star reviews because he cares about his customers and I have seen that his return rate of customers is extremely high compared to other small auto repair business. If you’re reading this to find an honest and good quality auto repair service, contact Hance’s European. And if Jay doesn’t answer (he might be busy with customers or talking to the guys in the back), leave him a message because he’s always on top of return each and every phone call. Congratulations Jay! You earned beyond 5 stars in my opinion!

Called from out of town to set up a PPI. Jay picked up the phone and was able to accommodate me earlier than expected(same day!). Despite my potential purchase being a basket case, Jay found all the problems and called me back less than 3 hours after the car rolled onto his lot. He even softened the bad news by discussing other options of brands and models to look at. If I ever make it back down to TX, I'll swing by to drop off some scotch-- Jay didn't know me from anyone else and yet took time to treat me like a VIP customer and a friend. Though I did not have any service performed, I would not hesitate to trust him to perform quality work and provide me with all the information to make the best choice.

My girlfriend suggested Hance's European for my BMW. I brought it in for a check engine light. They told me the problem was a vacuum leak. Repair was done quickly. Excellent service. They have a customer for life. Would recommend to anyone who wants good honest work.

I stopped by Hance’s European Auto to get my car checked for a battery reprogram, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Jim took great care of me, had me in and out in less than 5 minutes. The service was quick, professional, and hassle-free. It’s rare to find a shop that values your time and delivers top-notch service this efficiently. Highly recommend Hance’s to anyone needing reliable and honest auto care!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic experience at Hance's European in Dallas! Jim and the team provided honest, top-tier service from start to finish. We brought in our daughter's car due to a couple of concerning noises. The first—a whistle during acceleration—was originally thought to be a fuel pump issue but turned out to be a simple hose replacement. We appreciated the honest feedback and quick fix rather than unnecessary upselling. The second, a loud noise from the rear, was diagnosed as a broken bracket on the exhaust system. Again, the service was prompt, professional, and the courtesy far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Hance's European if you're looking for integrity, efficiency, and people who genuinely care about your car and your experience! They also handle routine maintenance with the same level of care—oil changes, filters, fluids, you name it. Whether it’s a major repair or a regular check-up, Hance’s European delivers with integrity and precision. Thanks again to Jim and the team—we’ll definitely be back!

I went in to inquire on a diagnostic check. No work was done on my vehicle. The place is not too difficult to access. Personnel was welcoming, and they laid all their prices upfront. Price is a little high for regular joes like myself, but I understand that owning a Euro vehicle is not for everyone either.

I am a repeat customer because they have earned my trust. They go "above and beyond" when trying to resolve thorny issues and intermittent BMW problems. They are there because of the quality of their work high marks for problem solving and fair prices. I received a lot more than I paid for.

Run, run, run and don’t look back, save your car and money!!!! I brought my car to this shop for repairs. I was originally quoted around $2,100, but when I came to pick up the vehicle, the final bill had increased by about $400. The total came to approximately $2,500. At drop-off, I was not given any documentation or receipt confirming the estimate, which made it difficult to hold them accountable when the price changed. I would strongly recommend that anyone who brings their car here request written documentation of the estimate in advance or record your conversation. After paying, I immediately noticed that my car was still not driving correctly. The repair did not resolve the issues I brought the car in for, and in some ways, the condition of the vehicle felt worse than before the service. When I asked about the price difference and reminded them of the original quote, the staff did not provide a clear explanation. The interaction made me uncomfortable, as I did not feel I was getting a transparent answer. This review is based on my firsthand experience as a paying customer. My goal is to warn others to proceed with caution, make sure to get everything in writing, and double-check the final bill before paying. This is not a fake review.

These guys did a great job of finding my mysterious noise. They kept me in the loop and completed the job in a decent time. I saved over $2500 vs the dealer. I would not hesitate to take my car here. They are honest and good at fixing cars.

Had the SUV towed in from air bag on driver side down, not my first rodeo with Hance… have been my authorized mechanic for awhile, Jim very nice about taking your money & saying, you not going to like the price, this air bag job cost me $2100, just for the frondriver side, came home to the back of the truck looking like this…. It’s like they find the next job while you car is there, Jim not happy with your service lately! Gloria.

I’ve brought my Porsche Boxster here a few times for minor issues, rarely for regular servicing. Some time ago, I came in for an exhaust rattle. They charged a significant amount to replace "missing hardware" on the belly pan, which did absolutely nothing to fix the noise. More concerning was the service during my last oil change. I usually do my own maintenance, but I brought it here last time. When I went to change the oil myself a few days ago however, I discovered the ride height sensor was detached and hanging. When I called to address this, they claimed, "We don't detach the ride height sensor." This seemed...incredible, you cannot access the oil filter housing without moving that sensor due to direct interference. I had to go to the hardware store, find the correct nut, and reinstall the sensor myself. On top of that, they forgot to clear the maintenance interval for the oil change, sloppy. I even fixed the "expensive" exhaust rattle myself for 40 cents by adding two washers between the exhaust and PSE. Why am I paying premium labor rates if I have to diagnose and fix the car myself? Completely unacceptable.
