Needed a tire repaired on Black Friday. Got me in, got it fixed, and all for about half of what other shops were charging. Definitely found my new garage.

My Son is a student at UMD. It's a holiday weekend and of course his vehicle will not start. I found Hansen's online, they squeezed him in. Fortunately, it was only a loose wire. How nice is it to find an honest and customer service oriented small business willing to help this college kid out. Thank You Hansens!! We'll be back

Very reasonable and honest. I asked to have some work done but after he looked at it he called me and told me it wasn't necessary. Also gave me an estimate for some future work I'll need done that I wasn't unaware of.

The mechanics here do fast, quality work. I've had more than one car here, and have always been impressed with their professionalism and prompt communication. I highly recommend this shop for car repair needs.

I had them change my oil around 6 months ago, which I usually do myself but was too busy at the time. So I just changed it myself recently, and the oil plug, filter housing, and filter drain plug were all extremely overtightened. There's a special wrench to remove the filter housing, and a drain plug in the middle of that. Not complicated, you just need the right tool. I think they just tightened the whole thing with the drain plug. It's only supposed to be 9 lb ft for the plug, and 18 lb ft for the housing. I had to use a cheater bar to remove the housing without opening the plug to drain it, spilling oil all over my hand. Then I had to put the housing in a vise and use an even bigger cheater bar to remove the plug. I couldn't believe how tight it was. Do your mechanics not know these things have torque specs??? I thought I was gonna break the housing taking it off and have to buy a new one. Ridiculous.

Charged for a "fix" for my son's car windshield wipers that weren't working, that the mechanic "hoped" would last a while which, under the circumstances I could understand because the car is 25 years old. However, the very next day (less than 24 hours in fact), the wipers don't work. Called for an explanation and was told I was charged for labor to "diagnose" the problem, not fix the problem. This is not what I was told the day before when I paid for what I was told was a fix. Not good business practice to say you've fixed something and then when it doesn't work to say you only diagnosed it. I will not recommend them again.

Disappointed. Chose Hansen’s because of great reviews, haven’t lived up to the hype. Kid’s car broke down last weekend, and they still haven’t even been able to look at it. Not quite as service oriented as the posts would reflect. May have to tow from Hansens to another shop that will actually help us.

Our family loves the honest and humble owner Scott. We all love chatting with Mike and Abby and knowing they have lots of knowledge. I usually make the sound over the phone that one of our vehicles are making and hoping they can diagnose it with just that- Don’t tell my husband. I love that everything they do is under a Warranty. I know when my husband is away that We can always trust in Hansen’s.

Went for an oil change and tire rotation ended up coming to 154 dollars. I got 4.8 quarts of full synthetic oil so under normal circumstances. It should have been about 40 dollars less. So whoever goes there keep an eye on the bill. Also they overspilled the oil into my engine. Other than that they have awesome customer service.

They charged me $300 dollars for a part that costs $130 at a local part store. This brought the total repair cost to $600. I found out after the fact that the dealership would have done this repair for nearly half the price. I approved the repair because we needed it done quickly. I would at least recommend people getting a 2nd quote before letting this shop repair their car. The people were nice enough to deal with and they got me in quick but I walked away feeling like I was robbed. As a follow up- The owner called me on the phone and offered a refund of $100. I was appreciative if this follow up.

Friendly, helpful staff. Even though they diagnosed my vehicle to with a blown head gasket, they allowed me to leave the vehicle there while I figured out what to do with it. (We live in the Twin cities, and had to drive our other vehicle back that day.) Mike even asked around to help me find a buyer. Again, they only diagnosed my vehicle, but did it quickly and for a fair, reasonable price.

I called to get an estimate for a tune up. I also stated that I had my own parts that I had already purchased. I was told that they do not install customer parts, and he said he would call me back for an estimate. Never got a call back. I called 4 other places and got an estimate immediately. I have never had a shop tell me they wouldn't install the parts that I that I purchased myself. The parts that I purchased are over $100 locally, I bought the same exact parts online for half that, and a tune up requires 6 of them!

Had my engine sieze up on a trip from the cities. Tired vehicle there and left it over night. The customer service I had from Abby the next morning was sensational, honest, and efficient. They did a quick look and quickly realized it was something that I should take to the dealership. Offered to square up for them taking a quick look at it but they didn't charge me a dime. Great people to work with and I appreciated their guidance on a Saturday during a holiday. Trust em.
