I almost never write a reviews but I feel like I had to for this. Went in to get a brand new alternator, and it was done the same day, with the price being cheaper than almost everyone else. In addition, when I had more issues with my car the next month, they tested and replaced an issue I couldn't figure out from weeks of testing, with a reasonable price and within a day. Go here!

I’ve had several friends over the years sing Randy’s praises. Boy, am I glad I finally listened. I went in preparing for a huge oil system repair and new brakes, as another mechanic told me I needed. Randy said I needed neither and he alerted me to two very slick tires. He never pressured me to buy the tires from him, although, at his good price, I certainly did. He was honest and gave me an awesome price on everything he did. He also did everything in record time. I’ll most definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and come to Hawthorne Automotive FIRST, you will get nothing but honest, fast and excellent service.

As a young female, I get very anxious about having my car looked at. It is not uncommon for mechanics to over-charge or misguide young women into spending way more to fix their vehicle than necessary. Randy is the complete opposite! Instead of convincing me work needed to be done on it immediately, he addressed the main issue, and told me what to pay attention to so far as what else may be needing work soon. He was kind, respectful, and communicative throughout the process. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, Randy is your guy!

My car was experiencing slipping between gears and that had me really worried it was a big problem - and a big cost to find a solution. I dropped off my car in the morning and Randy and the guys had it ready for pick up before noon same day! They pointed out that it was a simple fix and were happy to show me how to do car basic inspections to keep maintenance up to date. We've all been there. CEL on (check engine light) and we trot over to Auto Zone to check the codes. We puzzle through them all, do research and arrive at the conclusion that we need real expertise. I went to a known mechanic here who was adamant the car was unsafe to drive, needed a new manifold and a new turbo. Parts & Labor: $3,600. I didn't think so. Armed with all my independent research, and a fairly recent bulletin from the manufacturer I came to see Randy at Hawthorne Automotive. He said I definitely needed a new hose that he'd put it in and see if that was the issue. Hose is in, CEL is off. Chevy drives great. Got an oil change, too. Parts & Labor: $316. Neighbors, having an ethical, knowledgeable mechanic is as important as having a great physician. Both deal in life and death. Abundant gratitude to you, Randy, for putting your customer first. I know this Chevy isn't done giving me headaches, but I know now where to find the aspirin. Thank you.
