Best place in Santa Rosa to go for Smogs, Car Maintenance ect. Great Customer Service, Wonderful & Clean waitingroom with Free Coffee &Tea. Even has a Child play Area with Free Ms Pac Man. You cam even pay there if you want receive your License Tag. I use to use 101 Smog for the last 15 years but after last 2 Vists of being Scolded being Called Ignorant for being 10 minutes early & not Parking correctly & entering the shop where the office use to be. I decided on giving Hensley Auto a try & I'm glad I did!

They did a smog for my husband even though we were running late and got there a few minutes before closing. The staff were extremely friendly and welcomed us into their office. My car failed smog. Best $100 I’ve ever spent. She went over everything and basically showed me everything that the previous owner did to ruin my car. Thanks to her I was able to make the decision to junk it before dumping a ton of money into it. My car was so bad that they probably thought I was the state running a test on them. This probably saved me tens of thousands of dollars. They do more than just smog so I’ll be sending all of my future vehicle work here. I highly recommend this place. Just failed another one but I was told exactly what I needed. Very helpful techs. Hopefully I can get it to pass with the missing hose.

Smog was quick, maybe a bit too quick as they accidentally unplugged one of my spark plug wires from the ignition coil, I assume they had to pull the engine covers for a visual inspection. I drove home dumping fuel into the catalytic converter. I found the issue and it's running well now, though I'll have to take it on a drive now that it's reconnected and make sure it doesn't throw a code for the catalytic converter. I'll update this review if there are further problems based on the resolution, or if there is no problem at all.

We stopped in to see if there were any openings for a smog check after be given a reference to this place. The woman in the office looked at my husband and yelled, “I told you, your Lexus isn’t done.” My husband responded that he doesn’t have a Lexus and was there to ask about a smog check. She raised her voice again and repeated, “I already told you it isn’t done.” Another employee had to step in and explain that he was there to bring his car in for service. She then looked at him and said, “What do you want?” We felt singled out and uncomfortable by the interaction and can only hope she was having a bad day rather than intentionally being discriminatory due to my husbands race, because that is what we felt. Regardless, the experience was upsetting. We chose to leave and take our car elsewhere. Very disappointing customer service.

Hensleys is a scam. Went there to pay my registration and they said it would be a $54 fee to go through them. Fine. My total was almost $100 over my registration amount. Looking at my receipt I noticed they also charged a $40 labor fee. When I asked about it she tried to blame it on the dmv and wouldn’t do anything about it. Will never be returning.

This was the most painless and easy experience I had all year. I went to AAA to register my vehicle and they brought to my attention that I needed to smog my truck. It was a Friday afternoon and this was the first place I called. They took walk ins which was a super bonus because I needed to get this done. I grabbed my lunch and headed over and got checked in. I sat down with my dog with my lunch in hand and before I was able to finish my lunch, they said my truck was ready. Yup, that easy. Less than 20 mins. In and out. Affordable and pain free. And I got $20 off for showing them their online coupon on their website. I highly recommend them.

My Ford F350 diesel is not a normal vehicle for smog checks. Started at Ford dealership but very expensive and couldn’t work me in for over a week. These guys worked me in quickly and had a very reasonable price. Maybe because they seemed to be run by mostly young women.
