Lied right to my face and said they dont charge for retests. The repair order said the fre is due pass or fail. Grabbed my keys and walked out.

This place rips u off don’t go there if u live in bellflower or Downey they are their to scam u my car passed the smog with flying colors but the dude decided to fail me over my cold air intake which was oem and professionally installed just for extra money!!! Don’t recommend to no one!!!!

Person was kind and respectful. However, he preformed a “test” when the vehicle monitos were not ready. He asked before if the battery had been disconnected- however I was unaware that it had been from previous owner. Ready monitors are something you can and should see before even testing the vehicle. I came back and asked about it and he said there is no way he would know it wasn’t ready - that is absolutely false. I asked him te remedy it and he refused. The whole thing just seemed dishonest. I came to test elsewhere and sure enough they checked before testing to see if it was ready.

This place is an absolute Rip-off. Dishonest, high Priced, and just out right terrible. I took my Honda Accord there already knowing the problem and the fix. I didn't lead on about my mechanical knowledge because I wanted to see what they would say. The man said it was 180 dollars for the diagnosis but it would go towards the repair. Okay, a little high, but not terrible. They proceed to have me leave the car there and told me it would be several hours. I live close so I just walked home. When the mechanic called me he told me that sensor was bad the fuel cap was bad and that the car would have to be driven to reset the computer and retested. When I asked the cost he told me $450 on top of the 180 that I had already agreed too for the Diagnosis. $630 dollars total. So I felt like I must be misunderstanding what's wrong. So I go up to the shop and have the mechanic show me what he's talking about. I asked why was it so much, he told me the parts where $300 dollars. So that meant that the labor would be $330. This is when I called on speaker phone the Honda Dealership and got the prices for the sensor and the Gas cap. The dealership is always the highest place to get parts from. The parts from the dealer where $80 dollars. $45 dollars for the gas cap and $35 dollars for the sensor. The mechanic looked at me in disbelief. Then I asked him where did the $330 dollars in labor come from? The response was, oh the sensor is not easy to change, it takes special tools. And to reset the computer takes 150 miles, and we have to reprogram and retest. I asked him to stop working on my car. I paid the $180 dollars for the diagnostic because I had already agreed to it, thinking they would be doing the work and the smog. The sensor took me exactly 20 minutes to change, the Gas cap 2 minutes. I have my own diagnostic computer which costs me $200 dollars because I got one that can activate certain functions to test on the car. But there's one for $30 dollars on Amazon that will clear the fault codes. So I plugged up my computer and cleared the codes. I drove the car on the freeway for 3 exits and then drove back home on the streets to reset the sensors. This took about a half hour. All said and done, I had just under an hour of time invested and about $110 dollars with the cheap computer $310 dollars with my fancy diagnostic computer. Well below the $630 dollars this company tried to charge. Please do not send ANYONE! to this shop. They will definitely be ripped off.

I am onto my 2nd car now, and I only take it here for my repairs. Hi tech auto repair has worked on my Lexus, and has performed oil changes, smog checks, & tire replacements for my car. It is a new car, so I haven't had to have much repairs on this car. But my first car was an older Nissan rogue, and that car needed a lot of work. But they were able to help me & give me reasonable prices. I live a little further, but I don't mind making the drive because I know I can trust them with working on my car!

My family & I always take our cars here. It’s a one stop shop! They have worked on so many of our cars.. and it’s the only shop we take it to. They do smog checks, oil changes, tires, alignment, etc you name it.. they do it there!
