Rented a uhaul from these people and paid 93.00 on the 31st.then i get 2 more charges on my credit card.called them and explained i did everything i was told to do and was told id get a call of friday.so today 5 days after i rent the uhaul i see the 93.00 was removed but now they took 107.00 out my account.do not rent from these people bad business.seem like a scam just to take peolpes money

Local. Knowledgeable mechanic. They are open on Sun. and also have uhaul rentals. Great place for state inspections for car, boat trailer or Rv if your on the island. And if your not it's worth a stop into their eclectic gift shop!

My go to for vehicle inspections. This is also a U-Haul rental store and although it has been a while since I last rented a moving van from there they were processing rentals professionaly and efficiently last Saturday. Rental reservations are recommended!

These guys stole my money for a required vehicle inspection to obtain Texas licensing. I went to Ford afterwords to get it done correctly. I lost $25.50 for their bogus inspection. I was given a false about how our vehicle didn’t match my vehicle. That was a lie. They said “do not to go to the police, because it would be trouble for me.” When I went back to ask for my refund, they insulted me, and physically threatened me. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE FOR ANY AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES! Their bogus inspection was in retaliation was due to of a bad review of Hick’s U-Haul services... Two weeks before they forgot to mark our U-Haul trailer returned, which triggered U-Haul collections to me. They never answered their phone to discuss it after many attempts on a Friday. When I talked to him on Saturday, he said “I have too many customers to keep track of everything”. BEWARE OF THEIR U-HAUL SERVICES!

I called about 30 minutes before closing and arrived 5 minutes before closing and the guys there were super amicable and helpful 👏👏👏 Service was quick and friendly with a nice chat about mosquitoes and the motorcycle rally. I have done my share of moving during the past 2 years and Hicks Automotive is the absolutely the best U-Haul dealer I've had the pleasure to work with so far. These folks go above and beyond helping you. My reservation included a car trailer and the owner allowed me to leave my car in his location overnight so I wouldn't have to stress about finding parking for both the truck & trailer, allowing me to hitch the trailer and load my car the day of my departure. It's hard to find people willing to do you right these days. You can't go wrong with Hicks.

Everything you needed from uhaul and then some. They have all sorts of knickknacks. I even saw unopened packages of baseball and football cards from the 90s. The reason I came through was for my state inspection so I could register my vehicle at the tax office. I was immediately greeted and attended. The people there are very friendly and courteous, very quick to say hi, and I was in and out very quickly. If I need to rent a uhaul I know where I'm going this place is busy but they make time to take care of their customers. I will be back whenever I need something.
