Faye the service writer was helpful for the most part. But service of technician was a joke guy forgot to put parts back on the vehicle, then I need to chase them down a couple months later to get them when I noticed. Went to change my oil after they didn't it the last time and boy did they over tighten everything. Oil drain plug was over tightened, oil filter was over tighten so badly that everything I tried couldn't get it off. Need to take apart majority of the front end just to get access to remove using water pump players and about 100 pounds of force (oil filter should be just over hand tight). All I can say is what a joke.

As with all dealerships that rely on customers requiring service to their vehicles, I rate Honolulu Ford with 4 stars for the quickness by the mechanics for diagnosing and repairing my vehicle. The only setback to getting a 5 star rating and which needs to be improved upon, is the valet service and the service advisor to customer relationship and communication. Valet service isn't all that punctual (late by 40 minutes) and the drivers don't seem to know how to get from point A to point B (took 25 minutes to get the car to the dealership when it's only less than 10 minutes away). As for the advisor, being quoted a week and a half transit time for the required parts went beyond that and after being scheduled was more than 3 week after the diagnosis. Unbelievably, too long. I had to find out after texting the advisor that it was already 2 weeks only to find out that she held it back because of one missing gasket.

Dennis and the Service advisory team (JJ and James D) were great and they got my F150 Truck w(100K+) back to me in a timely manner. Dixon (Mech/Tech) while troubleshooting for a transmission flush found the leak and repaired my vehicle as well as double checking some of my own repairs (minor) work that was done prior. Next time I’ll have to leave the intense fix’s to the professionals. See you guys in 6months. Losing Coolant - Leak / Overheating Repair Replaced - T Connector and Thermostat Housing Group

I came into honolulu ford because my tire kept losing pressure. I had gone to cutter Ford to get my oil changed and asked them to look at the tire. The female service person said the tire pressure was fine. I told her it was because I had just put more air in the tire. They didn't look at it and when Honolulu Ford looked at it there was a hole in the center of the tire and that is why it kept losing air. I will now be going to Honolulu Ford and not Cutter Ford even though it is farther away, the customer Service dept there actually LISTENS to their customers.

Check in took less than 5 minutes. Roberta is awesome. The staff is way friendlier than any other service department staff I’ve ever had interaction with. I needed an oil & filter change, a recall issue looked into, and a brake issue looked into. I was offered shuttle service to and from. They did a great job.

Still waiting on the recall fix to get updated though, I still have a banner in my Ford App informing me it hasn’t been completed yet. I trust everything will be updated within a 24hrs though.

They scheduled and confirmed a vehicle pickup for 0730. No one showed. When I called that morning to find out what was going on, I was told their drivers don’t even start until 0800. They admitted they already knew this but never bothered to call or correct the pickup time. That alone is ridiculous. It got worse when I drove my Bronco in myself since the pickup was clearly never coming. The in-person service was just as bad. I was brushed off and given lazy excuses about ‘AI issues’ and how they supposedly couldn’t fix it. No ownership, no apology, no effort to make it right. Just indifference. This was easily the worst service experience I’ve had on island. If you have literally any other option, take it and avoid this place.

I brought my car in for mainly an engine oil change and transmission fluid change. My service advisor, Theresa, has helped me a few times before, and she’s always great. She does her best to make sure things go smoothly and keeps me updated throughout the visit. When I scheduled online, I mentioned that I’d be bringing my own transmission fluid. Nobody contacted me to say it wasn’t allowed, so I figured it would be fine. When I got there, I told Theresa the fluid was in my passenger footwell. She said they usually don’t use customer-supplied fluids but could if the technician approved it. Later, she told me the tech said my fluid wasn’t compatible with my car, so they couldn’t use it. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, so I said okay. The fluid I brought is well-known in the Mustang community and specifically marketed for Mustangs — including my 2015 model — so hearing it wasn’t compatible didn’t make much sense to me. It was a bit frustrating since now I’ll have to find another shop to do the transmission fluid change on one of my rare weekday days off. Other than that, everything else went smoothly. I really like that they provide free Uber transportation.
