PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS....IT'S WORTH THE FULL READ: I'm a 65 yrs old woman, a devout Christian my words are truthful in this review. God knows my heart and actions, I am writing this to help others I was stuck in the middle of the road with a failed transmission. I called my FREE TOWING with GEICO and they told me it would take 1 hours. I was hesitant to call Aamco because they do not have a good reputation (and this location precedes that). When I called them I TOLD HIM I HAD GEICO WOULD be 1 hour, they said they could come in 35 min. and there was no charge for the tow and diagnostic. Ok so let's go with the faster tow right? Not so fast. After my diagnostic (a full day later) they sent me a outrageously high quote. I NEVER AGREED I WOULD COMMIT TO THEM FOR SERVICE. Who doesn't get at least 3 or 4 quotes! I found a better price for a NEW TRANSMISSION elsewhere and all 3 quotes were $1,200 to $1,600 less. When I called to let them know I was declining services all the sudden these once pleasant guys (Steve in particular) started bullying me horribly as if he has turned into Satan himself. He demanded to know who "undercut him" and I told him that was none of his business and just to expect a tow truck. NO ONE IN MY 65 YEARS HAS ANYONE BULLIED ME EVER SPOKEN TO ME SO HORRIBLY. I MEAN BELOW THE BELT NAME CALLING, WISHING ME A BAD EXPERIENCE ELSEWHERE. I HAVE STRONG SHOULDERS, BUT I BROKE OUT IN GIVES AND WAS GETTING CHEST PAINS. HE SAYS I NEVER TOLD HIM ABOUT GEICO WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. (THE CALL TO GEICO IS ON MY PHONE RECORDS) Most everyone has towing included with their insurance! STEVE REFUSED TO RELEASE MY VEHICLE WHEN THE TOW TRUCK CAME UNTIL I PAID $268 for the free tow and diagnostic. I GIVE YOU MY WORD OF HONOR THAT HE NEVER SAID IT WAS CONTINGENT UPON DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM. THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY MEAN-SPIRITED. DON'T TRUST THEIR NICE ATTITUDES ON THE PHONE OR IN PERSON.

He promised to fix my car but never followed through, gave excuse after excuse, and clearly had no idea what he was doing. He wasted my time and money. So I bought a pack of transmission solenoids from AC delco and was going to do this job myself I was unable to return the solenoids so I needed a mechanic that could put them in for me without having to reorder new ones for no dumbass reason. Kenny agreed to do it and quoted me a fair-ish price. He told me it would be done the same day I took it in which was a Friday, he tells me it’ll be done tomorrow so I say I thought you would have it done today, he says he forgot he’s gotta order the gasket for the job, then he tells me no charge for the gasket extra parts then says it needs two new bushing for the tie rod end or something to that effect, he then tells me he needs 80$ for the parts, he then after several days calls me tells me the car is ready, and that he rolled my window down and now it won’t go back up, now I have to take time out of own day to fix this issue taking my door cover off, they left my car on the rack for a couple days and ran my battery down, tires are magically low on air. Kenny seems like a good man, but let me tell you if you wanna get a word in with him, you have almost tell the guy to stop talking so you can talk. My advice is use the shop, they did fix my issue but not without leaving me with some headache on the back end. Oh and Kenny told me he wanted a case of beer, lol I offered to buy him a beer at my own choosing he didn’t ask it when I said I wanted to buy him a beer, he wanted a whole case. Like chill out buddy lol Anyway, I think it’s a good shop, but Kenny is disorganized, he called me three times thinking I was a different person with a different car, handed me ford keys to my Buick lesabre when I showed up to get my car. Just be ready for a fast talker, and disorganization. Otherwise it’s a good shop. That fixed my transmission.

If you want a quick transmission rebuilt for the price that is quoted, come here. Ken rebuilt a 2004 Ram truck transmission on the day we said we needed it back. The total process took 7 days and $2700. My son was satisfied that the job was done correctly. I'm not going to sugar coat this: Ken is a man of few words. He'll get to the point and get the job done. He'll also only accept cash, so that can be a fun adventure if you're a college kid without a physical bank. But life is full of adventures. Take a chance on a down-to-earth transmission shop and save a few bucks. Our son got home on Thanksgiving due to a timely, reliable rebuild.
