Purchased Toyota Keys for an 02 Toyota online. Went in and they said they can only cut them for keys bought there. I said well shoot ok how much for my year ill just buy them from you. They don't carry them back that far. I said oh great then I can just purchase a cut for the keys I already have. The guy there said unfortunately I can't do that 3/14/22. I spend quite a bit of money at ACE even though sometimes products might be more. I always liked them and wanted to do my part in keeping them in business. Well that will no longer be the case.

I stopped in this morning to "tour" the store. I'm weaning myself off the Big Box stores and trying harder to support smaller businesses. I was surprised by just how wide the variety of merchandise was there! I'm going back in a few days to have them replace some glass in a broken window for me. They will be seeing more of me in the future!

This is a great little hardware store. The people are friendly and as helpful. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I often find myself waiting in line at the checkout counter. This especially seems odd when there are other employees standing around talking. In short, one minute to find what I need, five minutes to go through the checkout.

Why does the girl at the checkout counter sing at the top of her lungs, IN MY FACE!!?? It's rude! And makes me very uncomfortable. I have seen reactions from other people. We just smile and say, "Oh well." But it does seem like a poor business practice. I'm speaking of 13th St. Ace Hardware, Wichita, KS.

I love this hardware store...over the years I have never had a negative interaction with employees. They are all friendly, and ready to help in any way. The store carries a large variety of merchandise with reasonable prices. I highly recommend going to Indian Hills Ace Hardware!

The nozzle for my spray paint can broke. Very special acid green expensive paint I didnt want to waste. The staff found a spare nozzle from a spray paint can they had in the back and gave it to me for free. They saved the day!

I verified online that the site did indeed have in stock the item for which I was looking. it even provided the correct aisle assigned to the item. I went to the store at a slow time to better insure the store was not as busy; I´m disabled and walk with a cane. Upon arrival I could not locate the item. I turned to an employee standing at what I assumed was the help desk to ask for assistance. EACH of the three times I began to approach him, he looked at me, pulled out his cell phone, and immediately walked to the opposite side of the store. I turned to one or two other employees who were busy re-stocking shelves. They looked at me and turned about to start restocking elsewhere. Because of my disability I cannot walk quickly or stand very long, so I chose to leave. Perhaps I have completely misperceived this event, the employees were indeed busy. The store has indeed reached out to me in response. Unfortunately, their website does not provide the room I needed to answer, so I have done so here. Regardless, I will think seriously before visiting this store again.

I mean; if I have to track down an employee who then doesn't know anything - well, I can go to Lowes or Home Depot and pay a lot less to be ignored by employees who don't know anything.

This used to be a terrific neighborhood hardware store, but I shop here a lot less than I used to. The teenagers who often run the check-out area are usually too busy goofing around with each other. But today, service was appalling. I was standing in the tool aisle and needed something from a locked case. A person with "TOOLS" on her uniform and a set of keys around her neck -- a diminutive woman with shoulder-length brown hair -- walked into the aisle and then straight past me, not even making eye contact. I tried to get her attention, but she was too busy chatting and giggling on her cell phone. That's enough for me. Too many employees here are just playing games to give even minimally decent service, so I don't think I'll shop here much from now on.

Terrible customer service, Brian doesn't like minorities or something. Bought a stihl chainsaw from these guys and had been nothing but trouble. Guy has lied about helping me to stigl company and hangs up when things are tough for him. Guy has been rude since my first encounter with him. Sorry Brian didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but man do your job.

Stopped by for some things, and every single employee I walked past offered to help. Everyone was so nice, and if they didn't know something, they'd find someone who was knowledgeable on the matter to help me. If I go to Lowes or Home Depot, I literally have to hunt for someone if I need help. Often, I get, "Oh, that isn't my department. Try asking somebody else." Love that nearly all visits I've made to Ace, and at any location, I've had amazing help and everyone has been extremely friendly!

I entered this store hoping to quickly find a specific screwdriver. When I was unable to locate it, I figured I would ask an employee for help so I could hurry up and make my purchase and leave. That's when I found Amy. I told Amy that I was looking for a specific item, and her response: "You know we close in two minutes right?" I felt like I wasn't asking much. Maybe a quick search on a computer, or at least an aisle number suggestion. But God forbid I ask for 60 seconds of assistance while the store was still open.

Never ever take your screens here. We dropped them off months and they lied to us constantly saying oh they’ll be ready tomorrow they’ll be ready the next the next day the next. Then when they were finally ready they had the wrong color of screen installed. They tried to blame it on us. Charged us $150 for the wrong product. Never again.
