Awesome shop! I am new to town and have a Range Rover that needed some work...you never know where to bring these things and I am always skeptical of shops knowing how to work on them, but the folks over at JB really know what they are doing! Fair pricing, quick turn around time and super friendly people! I won't bring my rigs anywhere else now! Highly recommend!

We were on our way home to Chicago after a long road trip. Our car started overheating and leaking fuel. We tried three other places before calling JBs. They squeezed us in at 3:00 on a Friday. Really nice folks with a super sweet dog as well greeting us at the door. We went to dinner and two hours later we were back on the road. Super grateful for their help.

Went here off a recommendation from the tow company that helped me, the Staff was friendly and helpful and they have an awesome waiting area with couches and board games BUT they WAY overcharged us. Called around to a bunch of other shops in the area after I got back home and the highest quote, parts and labor, was OVER $200 LESS than what we were charged here. They made it sound like they were staying after hours and all that just to help us so we wouldn’t be stranded in billings but we were done and out of there before the closing time listed on google. Won’t go back.

AAA recommended, but can’t figure out why. Had to re-tow my car to a place that can actually call me when they say they’re going to. This worthless shop took two days and never called me or even took a two second glance at my car. Even the tow truck driver said they were unnecessarily rude to him. Don’t waste your time or money.

When picking up my husband from work, the front brakes gave out and we thought we would be stranded as most automotive businesses were already closed. By luck we found this place and slowly drove there. Although they were about to close, they took the time to quickly diagnose the issue on our F150. They wouldn’t be able to fix it until the next day, so they went above and beyond and booked us a rental and Kayli even took us to pick up the rental. They fixed our truck the next day at a very affordable price. Great service all around by good folks!

I recently was passing through Montana when my front wheel came off at 2 in the morning. The tow truck driver “Doug” recommended JB Automotive for my repairs. He actually called the owner at 2 am and they answered their phone. The next morning they were on my truck and got me back on the road by 4 pm. Awesome people,awesome service 100% recommend. So I called scheduled an appointment to get a fuel rail pressure sensor fixed because my check engine came on, and I took it to them, I even told them I was homeless and need my care taken care of, and they broke my EGR valve and then tried to have me pay for it, and a week later after the work was done my check engine light came on saying it was the EGR valve and then they scheduled it out a whole week and by then my check engine light went off. And then two days later it came back on. And now it's caused my whole cars computer to not register and my key is straight stuck in the ignition while in park. And my car ran perfectly before I took it there and it even sounded and drove terrible after they touched it. So everyone do NOT go to j b automotive. They have no experience and will charge you 561 dollars to screw up your car and cause more problems so you have to keep going back!!!! I'm posting on social media as well everyone needs to know so they go out of business treating people with such disrespect and ruin a perfectly good car

This place saved me. We broke down 77 miles outsied of Billings on Monday morning. AAA reccomended this shop. We were towed there and they stayed open about 15 extra minutes until we arrived. They stored my son's bike, which was on top of our car, so he had peace of mind about it not being stolen from the top of the car. The following day I was informed that I would indeed need a new engine. There was an invoice sent by text, that was very helpful. I spoke with Kayla(?) over the phone, then went into the shop. Originally I had been told they wouldn't be able to start work on the car until Friday, but in the 20 minute walk to the shop, they were able to shift some appointments around and told me the car would possibly be ready on Friday morning. Actually - it was done on Thursday afternoon!!!! They were very professional, and helpful. I was never able to talk directly with the mechanics who worked on my car, but on our 800 mile drive back to Calgary, my new engine purred just like a kitten and I had no problems whatsoever. Everything was garunteed, and I have no hesitation recommending this mechanic 100% Thank you JB Automotive, for making a difficult situation not so horrible at all.

I just had a nightmare experience with them JB Automotive. Early on a Friday, my car broke down and power steering went out I paid to have it towed and they fixed it saying it was a fuse, they charged me $170 which for a fuse is nuts but whatever, I needed my car for the next Monday for my first day at my new job. But it broke down with the same issue the next day. Had to pay for a tow again, and my car was then in their shop for OVER A WEEK. Didn’t communicate well and kept pushing back the completion date. They told me I should rent a Uhaul truck in the meantime. 🤦‍♂️ Also, one of the times I called to ask when it might be completed and to get an update, and the lady hung up on me while I was mid sentence. Mind you, I was always cordial and very respectful to them. They said the problem was a fuse box. First they quoted me almost $500 for putting in a fuse box, which is outrageous, then I questioned them on it and they said, “Oh oops, I made a mistake, I meant $380.” 🤔 They finally got it done and they’re always open till 6, and they called me and said, can you pick it up at 4pm, we want to leave early today. Otherwise I would have to wait another weekend and pick it up Monday. 😑 So I had to leave my new job early, not cool. Honestly convinced that they put a short term fix in the first time just so it would break down again so I’d have to take it back and dull out more money. 0/10 would NOT recommend guys…

I had the absolute worst experience with JB Automotive. My car broke down in billings and with AAA towing, it was one of the few options to drop my car off at. They kept it for four months— Every time i called to get a time estimate, i was told they would find out and get back to me-which they never would. It was four months with zero communication. I was then told it would be done and I had to request the day off of work to be able to get to billings and the day before, i was notified it wouldn’t be done and they would contact me about a different date. the date it was done, i was not told but instead, only sent the invoice. When I finally got it back, the interior light fuse was blown- the lightbulbs were missing, and they lost the interior light lenses entirely. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they had the audacity to inform me no one knows where or why they were removed and denied fault. They also removed my steering wheel cover for no apparent reason, threw it on the floor and never put it back. They also felt the need to empty both of my sun visors, shoving it all in my glove box-including funeral programs and personal/important notes which are now tattered. Another item in my visor was a $20 bill my boyfriend had written our names on is now missing. I’m honestly speechless. I would never trust these people with my car again. I feel overwhelmingly taken advantage of and they are completely unapologetic. They clearly don’t respect their customers or their property. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
