These guys were phenomenal. I brought my 2020 Toyota Highlander in because another shop had told me it needed thousands of dollar worth of AC line work done. These guys diagnosed it and fixed it under what the previous shop had lied to me. Very reasonable price and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I recently took my 2010 Tacoma to JAS for service due to persistent driveline vibrations. Not only did JAS fix the vibrations that I was experiencing, they also discovered additional issues that they rectified at very reasonable prices. One of the issues, a leaking transmission pan, had me quite frustrated and disappointed as I had just brought the truck into (which I was led to believe was) a reputable transmission shop (national chain of shops that begins with the first letter in the alphabet) to have the transmission flushed and resealed at the beginning of 2023. Not only did that shop manage to mess that service up, they did absolutely nothing to honor the mistake barely a year later. Not JAS! They immediately let me know what they discovered, and proceeded to tell me in great detail what they found as they completed the transmission service. I was disgusted to hear what the previous shop had attempted to pass as “professional work.” Needless to say, JAS is truly an honorable shop that is not afraid to tell you in great detail what they have done, because they stand behind their service! This will be my go-to shop from here on out, and I will recommend them to anyone I know in the area!

Thanks team for a wonderful outcome!! I had ongoing issues with my Prius hybrid battery after an initial cell replacement, which incidentally was a really good price. Even though the warranty had expired, this shop went above and beyond and replaced the entire battery with a rebuilt one. That kind of integrity is rare and I’m so grateful that they stood by their work. Highly recommend for anyone needing honest, affordable, and dependable hybrid care!

These guys were awesome and I understand why they stay busy. Estimate came in lower for their work than others I have checked, and they worked very quickly. Dropped my truck off in the morning, they were done by 5. My 94 Cruiser is running great and no longer makes any grinding or whining noises when I drive.

JAS is THE place to go for all Japanese vehicles, they’ve helped me get my 99 Land Cruiser well past 350,000 miles and still chugging along! They just need to make some bumper stickers so I can Throw one on my car to advertise for them!

Very thorough diagnosis of the issues that I was having with my Toyota Landcruiser. Went to great lengths explaining the problem and working through proposed solutions. I'll definitely return for all further work necessary to keep the Cruiser alive!!

John was very professional. Fast friendly service. Had a great cup of coffee that I barely had time to finish, they were done and I was ready to go! Had a couple of questions for John you didn't mind answering them. Great service I'll definitely be going back we already discussed a front end alignment.

Japanese Auto Service earned my business. My Toyota Tundra has a starter that is a pain to do and they were able to get me within a week and a half. I know why they are booked out now! No nonsense, plenty of communication, and fair pricing. Thanks for getting my truck back on the road!

Japanese Auto Service is a top notch shop! Excellent and friendly service. A much better alternative to the Toyota Dealership! Major service and brakes on our 4 Runner.

Top-notch shop! Can't say enough good things about these guys. They communicate well, stand by their work, and they did a great job refurbishing my 2014 Toyota Prius hybrid battery. I waited a few months to make sure it would hold up and haven't had a single issue. They even offer an in-house 1-year warranty on their work, which speaks volumes. If you're looking for a Toyota/Lexus shop that will treat you right, this is the one. The whole story: About a year ago, I started getting a major hybrid system warning on my 2014 Prius with about 150,000 miles. The orange triangle of death would appear and the system would shut down. Everything indicated it was an issue with the hybrid traction battery. I ran a few scans with my own Bluetooth OBDII tool, and it indicated the hybrid battery was aging and had a few cells with unbalanced voltages. Took it to the local Toyota dealer for further diagnosis. They diagnosed it as a wiring fault associated with an aftermarket remote start (I installed it myself, so not impossible that I connected a wire wrong, but I didn't have any issues for four year). When I pushed back a little, the service manager assured me they had their "Master Tech" working on it and he was the best. Clearly a false statement, as I found out later, since all the best Toyota Master Techs work at JAS now (for the record, I tired venting to them about the dealer, and they were all too nice and professional to talk poorly about their former employer. Good on them!). I figured it was possible I caused an issue with the remote start, so I had them do the repair. Charged me $1,000 to un-install my remote start and "flash" the ECU (not sure why that was necessary, I was able to reprogram it myself with the key fob after install). I didn't know any better and assumed their fancy Toyota tools would beat out my $30 amazon BLE scanner, so I paid it. Turns out they didn't even repair the wires they claimed cause the "fault", just unhooked them and left the wires bare. Half way home, the hybrid warning light kicked back on, the hybrid drive system shut down, and I promptly turned around and headed back to the dealership. Round 2 resulted in them telling me it must be an issue with my break booster (not sure why, but something about a old warranty issue). That was a $3,500 fix and they'd credit some of my previous repair to the next bill (how generous, given they didn't actually do have the work I paid for anyways). That's when I started looking for a new shop and came across JAS. I scheduled an appointment online, texted back and forth with them, and ultimately dropped my car off on my way out of town for a work trip. They were great to work with. I was able to text back and forth with them, and they emailed me all their very detailed notes and diagnostic logs. Guess what?!? It was the hybrid battery the WHOLE time. They do their own refurbishments with a 1-year in-house warranty. It was way cheaper to go that route rather than replace the whole thing. Ended up being right around $1,500 and my Prius is running like new even though it has 160,000 miles on it now. Money well spent! No issues since, and I can actually feel the power difference when I pull away from stoplight. The main guy has a lot of experience with older Priuses (Priei?) and let me know that there was a good chance my head gasket was going to go out just before 200,000 miles, but not to worry because they keep all the parts in stock since its a common repair. You better believe I'll be coming back here when that happens. I might get this car to 300,000 miles with a quality shop like this to do the work!

Found my new go to auto shop! John's customer service was remarkable. He was amazing from our first interaction. He diagnosed all problems and gave us an immediate and extremely reasonable quote. We were out the same day. Thank you John and team. I would highly recommend this crew for any of your vehicle needs.

Thanks to Japanese Auto Service for the outstanding customer service. This is the second time we’ve used JAS, and once again they exceeded our expectations. We had an emergency repair, and John informed us there might be a wait but that he would try to squeeze us in. A few days later, we received a call saying everything was completed. John is very forthright in explaining the repairs and provided a written cost estimate within an hour. They offer clear communication, honest recommendations, and high-quality workmanship by Toyota Master Mechanics. Service simply does not get better than this. We truly appreciate the professionalism and care they put into servicing our vehicle. Highly recommended!

This is a top notch shop, including the customer service provided. I brought in my '96 Toyota Avalon with 358,000 miles, initially, it was because my engine was sounding louder. I had resigned myself to it leaking a little oil because it is older. I previously had been told by another mechanic that, basically, it was too much work to fix. They didn't really take the time to look it over to find the cause/s of the oil leak/s. I'm impressed that they took the time to thoroughly diagnose some of the different issues with my car, looking for the actual causes. In the course of fixing my car there were a couple other issues that came up with new parts not working correctly that necessitated taking the car back to their shop. I really appreciate their integrity in remedying the issue and doing the job correctly. John and Eric (and team) were excellent at explaining what was going on with my car and how some different issues were intertwined. I'm always looking to understand my vehicles better. They are very knowledgeable and competent in their profession. Finding a great mechanic can feel daunting. I'm glad I found a new mechanic and his team that I can trust!

I always get great service at JAS, a quick estimate prior to beginning any service. The staff are extremely competent and knowledgeable and provide excellent service. I can tell they treat my vehicle as if it were theirs. I would highly recommend them to anyone, but they do specialize in Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
