Several years ago I was referred to PKE by two friends. Kip has become my "go to guy" for repairs. I own two old Toyota pickups: a 1988 and a 1996. The 1996 had a severe oil leak at the oil pump drive shaft. I took it to three different mechanics, but none of them were willing to work on it, claiming it would be easier to replace the engine. The last mechanic suggested I bring the truck with a trailer and drive it straight to the junkyard. However, I brought it to Kip, and he knew how to fix it without pulling the engine. He did it in no time for only a few hundred dollars. Since then, I’ve had Kip work on both trucks extensively because he’s knowledgeable about what needs to be done and what doesn’t. There are many things to work on, but he only fixes what’s necessary and doesn’t try to upsell me into doing more than I ask. I don’t even bother asking for a quote anymore because I know he’ll be fair and less expensive than a larger shop. Joan, the office manager, is great at returning calls and keeping me informed about the progress of the job. I’ve referred two friends to PKE, and both have had positive experiences. Their service is timely and of the highest quality. Don’t hesitate to give them a call!
