By far the best mechanic I’ve found in a long long time. He knew what the problem was from the other room just by overhearing me explain it to the lady at the desk. I thought it was the transmission for sure but it was the axels. They had it finished later that day for an amazing price. If you have a Japanese car this is the place. They know 4Runners exceptional well. Thank you!!

I have no complaints. Quality work. Up front pricing. I was actually referred to this place by a car dealership service representative and it was a great suggestion. I've had my car here several times and have never felt over charged or had to keep coming back for bad work. . I drive a Toyota Avalon 2013. Again Each time I come here I found good prices and quality work. fast work and never a hidden surprise for cost repairs. 5 stars in my book. 👍🏽

Japanese Car Service was awesome. It was easy to get an appointment and they looked at my daughter's car to diagnose a problem with the hatch back release in a reasonable amount of time. They did not charge a hefty diagnostic fee like the Hyundai dealership would have, or like Asian Imports was going to charge (around $200), which was really appreciated, and made it affordable for my daughter who has to watch her expenditures closely. They got the part in one day and fixed it the next, and it barely cost $100, and $60 of that was for the part. The desk lady was so nice and explained everything well, and gave us confidence that it would be fixed right the first time. We liked the service so much that I am now considering taking my own car there. Thanks for a job well done!

My transmission gave out while I was in town for a business event. I tried 2 other places, including the local dealership for my car and got nowhere. I pleaded with the service manager at the dealership for someplace he'd send his family and JCS was were he quickly recommended. I called them up and despite a full day, they agreed to look at my car. Comfortable waiting room with snack machines, sodas, and water. Couches, massage chairs and a bathroom made it easy to settle in for I presumed would be a long wait. I watched 2 different employees drive my car and within an hour I was told the news was as a I thought and they had a quote already ready to provide a replacement service. The quote was solid, came with a warranty and they had already arranged to do the whole replacement by end of day the next day to accommodate my travel plans!! I have been to a few really good mechanics in my life, and I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, the expertise of the owner and mechanics and the above board service I received through the whole process. I live 3 hrs. from Las Vegas, but it would be well worth the drive to have them service any of my vehicles!

A family friend recommended this Toyota auto shop. The owner has a passion for Toyotas, which is a favorable aspect. Making an appointment in person is advisable (they are very busy). Upon arriving for my appointment, I left my prescription sunglasses by the cup holder. Once checked in, I waited for approximately two hours. Not an unreasonable wait time. Upon receiving my vehicle, I frantically searched for my sunglasses, even in the lobby. I am certain I had them with me because I cannot drive without them. I spoke to a gentleman and requested that inquire with his mechanic to see if they had accidentally misplaced my sunglasses onto the work area where my car was being serviced. After a 5-minute search, he informed me that they had not located my sunglasses. This was quite disappointing. "Integrity is paramount." My vehicle runs smoothly, and they did a commendable job at a reasonable price. Their services are more cost-effective than the dealership's prices. I have never encountered any issues with dealership technicians or any other small-business auto shops. But honesty is of paramount importance to me, regardless of the establishment's reputation. Recommendation: Ensure you remove all personal belongings from your vehicle.

I failed smog test and someone referred me to come to this place. I was debating if I should go hyundai dealer. After reviewing hyundai service, I’ve decided to get done here. The technician(owner) showed me what was wrong precisely. My real concern was if they diagnose wrong and charge me so much money, at the end not able to fix it. I was in so much stress for a last couple of weeks thinking what if I couldn’t pass smog test second time. It was a quick repair and got smog test passed. All the staff here are so kind and polite! Glad I’ve found a place to go when I’m in trouble.

Literally the only place I bring my vehicles. They always do great work for reasonable prices , the owner Mr riel told me my car wouldn’t be ready and I was waiting after work for it he waived the fee for one of the services they provided and got me an uber home. That kind of treatment keeps me coming back. Hope and Tanya on the front desk answering all questions and staying in touch thru out the whole process makes the usually uncomfortable process very relaxed. I’ve been taking my Nissans there since 2019 and will continue taking mine and my families cars there probably forever. Definitely recommend the Japanese Car Care Center for your import or domestic car as I’ve seen everything in their garage bays from super cars like bmw i8s to bmws to my Nissan maxima. They got a comfortable quiet waiting area with massage chairs and couches and Keurig coffee to make the day go by at least comfortably. Definitely check them out

Been here a few times for various vehicles. They're pretty fair and honest. However, last 2 times I've been here I've been left hanging. 10am appt for oil change, brake change, tire rotation, and diagnosis on a oil pressure light. Didn't yet a time estimate till 1130a. Told me everything should be done within next 3 hrs. Come check in 3hrs later and told maybe end of the day, and some of the parts just arrived 30mins ago. Time b4 they had to hold onto my truck for about a week. Lesson learned: don't expect quick service or accurate updates. Also, the red head at the desk is really no help.

One of the younger guys who is taller & is skinny used the wrong oil filter for my car.He was the only person who worked on my car too. He even handed the car keys back with an attitude to the girl up front. It was not the shop owners son too. They happen to use a wider & taller oil filter than my original one for my car. I also never authorized the oil change, they just did it by themselves. The younger mechanic told the red haired girl up front that my oil was really bad when it was only 1200 miles old. Alot of miscommunication with the front office & the mechanics. They also were trying to upcharge me for spark plugs & wires when the wires literally look brand new still when I installed them in Jan of 2025 along with new sparkplugs. Writing this in April of 2025. Im upset that they also did not use a crush washer on the oil drain plug. I have OEM ones at home. I could have given them one. Idk I trust the shop on bigger work but it seems like they are lacking when it comes to the basics. I like the owner Genir, his son is great too along with the rest of his family who work there. I just really wish they could see the impact this had on me today. Had to go buy another oil filter wrench since it did not work with my oem spec one. Also almost got stranded from not being able to go to work as stores close at around 10pm & I was doing my oil change at 8 pm when I realized I did not have the proper tool after draining my oil. Idk I hate to post a bad review about the shop but others have to know that the younger mechanics are tarnishing the reputation of this shop. Also when I got my car fixed the guy did not even repair it right, my steering was somehow off & jagged feeling. I didnt even take the car in for anything suspension or steering related. All I did was ask them to change the check engine light bulb as mine had went out. It was a guy with I believe had tattoos, lil bit tall & white. I dont trust this mechanic but the rest I do. Sucks to have to deal with others who wont really care to do the best for your car. By the shop using the wrong filter it was slowly leaking oil. Im glad I did an oil change after about a 1000 miles to realize the errors they did. Im completely shocked about what I had to deal with months later after a repair. Also my oil filter was super tighten. Not sure if the shop reads reviews but I will have to give them a call in the morning. The red head at the front counter is easily influenced to what the mechanics are telling her. She will recommend their fixes even though you may have already done it yourself or elsewhere such as the basics like oil changes, filter changes, spark plugs, wires etc. The shop felt better a year ago. Also if it makes things better I had to go with my child & this was the way I was treated. Perhaps the younger mechanics are more concerned about their commission than actually helping those who are trying to get by as a family.

Brought the car in with an issue that I expected to cost $500+. Accidentally over torqued the transmission fill plug. Thought I stripped the transmission threads, but it was actually the fill plug. Thank god. They really could have taken me for my money, and I wouldn’t have known. They also topped off the transmission fluid, and only charged the .5 quarts, not the whole quart like a dealership would do. First impression, but this place is solid.

Terrible service — overpriced and completely unprofessional. I brought my car in for regular maintenance because the inspection due light was on. After the service, I picked up the car and noticed the light was still on. No one mentioned anything or explained why it wasn’t addressed. I went back the afterwards, and they took about an hour with the car — but once again, the light was still on when I got it back. So I returned immediately, only to be ignored by the front desk staff even though they clearly saw me. I had to find someone outside, who then told me I’d need to schedule yet another appointment to have it looked at — yeah, I need to come the third time just to deal with a basic dashboard alert. It’s ridiculous to go back and forth multiple times for something so minor — especially when I already paid for a full service. Totally disorganized, with poor communication and no accountability. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I have been going to them for 10 years now, and they've serviced all three of our cars. They're always nice, informative, never have I ever had a problem or felt I was being over charged. 10/10 great people.

Very happy with their service. I was able to make a same-day appointment and my car was fixed in a few hours. They didn't try to throw in a bunch of repairs I didn't need either--- just changed my spark splugs, did an oil change, and sent me on my way. I will be taking my Altima here for future repairs.

These guys know their stuff. I brought in my American Made vehicle on a recommendation and they knocked out the electrical issue I had been having for 2 years and the tires plus an alignment. I was in and out in 1 day. Thanks JCS and a shout out to some of the new staff!

Got some great advice from Henare (sp?) on how to find the right car for me during a pre purchase inspection. For that, I'll be forever grateful. His team does good work and I would trust them with your business, especially if you have a Toyota

I've been having a no start issue with my Nissan Armada. Made the appointment and they were able to diagnose the starter was bad. This is a big job and requires specialized tools. Its the one I would not attempt myself for that reason. If you're in a situation like I was you should have a reputable shop do this repair. They did an amazing job and used all OEM parts from Nissan. My Armada is back to full health and runs amazing. Way to go! 5 Stars.

Dishonor on you, dishonor on your family, dishonor on your cow, dishonor from Shogun. I always thought Japanese are the most trustworthy and honorable people, so I had zero bad expectations about this service. Also, as they say it is a family-owned business, So I had an amazing feeling. Japanese family-owned service, WOW amazing. Specializing in Toyota cars. I had a weird sound on my Lexus. I was prepared and had some videos showing this weird sound: metal-to-metal, metallic crunchy sound. I was told that it would take a while to diagnose my car. Roughly 3–4 hours. Yes, it took 4 hours with an appointment to diagnose my car. I told the host that I wanted to speak with the mechanic about it and show him the video to diagnose the sound more correctly. The first time she ignored that, so when I saw my car was taken, I reminded her again. The mechanic came to me, I showed him the videos, explained the symptoms, when it happens, how often, that it comes from the front passenger side under the hood, and that I assumed it was the water pump because the sound was similar, but I was not sure. He thanked me and said it was helpful. Then I waited 1 hour and they called me to tell me that I need to replace the catalytic converter for $4000. No explanation, no showing what the problem is or how they found that. The attitude was: we are ready whenever you are ready, just pay us. Diagnostic, by the way, was $121. So I guess that diagnostic was made just by putting their finger in their nose and giving me the biggest price. By the way, the catalytic converter is fresh and shiny. We checked it with another service the same day. No evidence of malfunction of the catalytic converter, and the sound is actually because of a dying water pump. So yeah, I paid this $121 for WOW service. This money will cost you A LOT… Good luck with spending time with DMV, City Business Licensing, Nevada Attorney General, with a lot of paperwork that they are going to bring to your fantastic service. I hope your family will enjoy reading letters and answering them. I hope the city will take a look at you and how well you treat your customers.
