Brett was incredibly respectful of my time in obtaining an estimate for a vehicle that accounts for the correct way to repair a vehicle “as though it never happened”. If you are looking to have your vehicle repaired correctly the 1st time, due your “due diligence” get THREE estimates, and have THIS TEAM do your repair. As most costs of post-pandemic automotive repairs will surprise even a lifelong automotive enthusiast, it will be critical for your repair to be done by a shop that doesn’t cut corners…..especially on daily drivers. Your daily driver gets you around, and you want the technical competence to have a repair that lasts without headaches later. If your vehicle treats you well, reciprocate the courtesy and take care of your investment….wether it’s 20 years old or just purchased new.

Pissed. No, my car was not given back to me without issues. The part I was most concerned about was still broken so I had to turn around the same day I picked the car up. They ended up keeping the car upon taking a closer inspection that the washer fluid reservoir was broken. When I picked it up the second time a light was still on and they were convinced everything was done correctly and it was a recall on the part causing a warning light to come on. I asked do they only repair what is visually damaged because two of my concerns proved to go undetected. I do however appreciate receiving a phone call appointing me to take the car to Nissan for a diagnostic check by their Master technician. Upon me taking my car to Nissan, I was told I would have to leave my car and was given a courtesy ride home. I received a call this morning from Nissan stating that they have located the problem and it was going to be a few days before my car would be ready. So, here I sit no car but finally satisfied that my car will be fixed properly by someone who is knowledgeable in repairing my car. I will not be returning to Joe Hudson for any further needs or repairs. I do not recommend.

I had a black chevy emblem and they installed the gold one instead .. so I informed them about it and they decided to put black tape to cover it up instead of buying the actual black emblem… Very cheap and lazy work. Highly Upset!!

Everyone from customer service to the body work mechanic Eric D who by the way is probably the best body man in Columbia SC, everyone was so helpful durning this whole experience. Throughout the 4 month process, they were pleasant and willing to explain the issues, and looked for alternative solutions when they didn’t have the equipment needed on a couple of issues. Hopefully I won’t need them anytime in the future, but will absolutely go to them first if needed.

I highly recommend Joe Hudson's Collision Center, Leesburg Rd. I'm a repeat customer twice very satisfied! My 2 year & 8 month old (2022 Honda) low mileage vehicle took quite a front-end collision. Part of the hood, trims over the front wheels and the entire front end were damaged. My first contact with the center was Brianna who was an extraordinary admin personnel again, and then Brett provided a detailed estimate of what was necessary to repair my Honda and an approximate time frame to completion. I appreciated the updates on parts delivery, repair and completion date as before. Brett was a courteous and professional advisor and the technicians' workmanship was immaculate as was the paint job. My Honda looked brand new, again. Thank you.

I took my vehicle to this facility on the advice of State Farm, (not my insurance provider). It is one of their "preferred repair facilities". The accident happened on a Saturday, so I made an appointment for the following Monday. We continued to drive the vehicle when we needed to. The vehicle drove acceptably and all of its systems both mechanical and electrical performed as they had prior to the accident. On Monday, we kept our appointment and were initially impressed by what we were told regarding how thorough they would be repairing our vehicle. We dropped off our vehicle and rented a vehicle in the interim. When the vehicle was "ready", we picked it up and drove it home. We noticed a couple of issues immediately. The radio which had been set on five station presets from day one and had played beautifully, now played nothing but static and interference. One station would occasionally come in poorly but otherwise we had no tangible reception whatsoever. Secondly, our interior dome light would not shut off. This light is controlled by a 3-position switch. To the left, the light is always off, to the right, always on, in the middle, the light shuts off AUTOMATICALLY ON ITS OWN WHEN YOU REACH A CERTAIN SPEED. From this point forward, the driver had to manually shut off the dome light. Over the next couple of weeks, I returned to Joe Hudson's expressing my concern with these problems. I emphasized that both of these components were working fine after the accident and right up to the time the vehicle was dropped off at their facility. I was assured they would get to the bottom of the problem. They never did. I complained to State Farm that even though my car was "repaired" as far as Joe Hudon's was concerned, it really wasn't. The State Farm representative I had been dealing with even went so far to tell me that Joe Hudson's had told her that, "there's nothing wrong with the dome light", and this radio issue is a common problem with the Ford Escape". BULLCRAP! There's absolutely nothing on the internet regarding this issue and the dealership where I bought the vehicle was incredulous that Joe Hudson's would make such an unsubstantiated claim. At this point, I called Joe Hudson's "what to do if you are dissatisfied" phone number. Of course, no one answered so I left a voicemail. Less than a week later, I received a call from a gentleman named Sid. I told him what the issues were, and he reassured me Joe Hudson's would make it right. I felt much better after speaking with Sid. I felt like someone was actually listening and eventually the vehicle would be at least as good as it was prior to the accident. Sid and I spoke once or twice more and the information from him continued to be positive. Finally, Sid called me on Friday September 29th after 4 PM. Again, he reassured me and also stated he thought that in the course of painting, they may have created a short in the system somewhere. At the end of this conversation, he said he was going to talk with the shop for scheduling and would call me back the following Monday. Eight weeks later, I still haven't heard from Sid or anyone from Joe Hudson's and I don't expect to. If Sid did in fact talk to the shop, they convinced him there are no issues and he was okay taking their word. Never mind the person who has been driving the vehicle since it was brand new for the last 2 1/2 years. Bottom line there are indisputable facts here, my vehicle came out of their shop with two issues not related to the accident that weren't there until after Joe Hudson's had "repaired" the vehicle. I would never ever recommend these phonies to anyone needing collision repair done. One has to wonder how this shop became a "preferred repair facility"...

This is who you want handing your car body repairs. Great customer service with text message updates. If I had more questions, they gave me a call to explain. Worked well with my insurance company and the car rental service. A totally itemized statement to confirm what had been repaired and how. I appreciated knowing the labor fees upfront (they’re posted in the lobby). Car looks brand new and is super clean. I got my car back in 4 days. Will use them again if I have to.

4.5 Stars. The staff very professionals and explained everything I need to know about the repair and time. My SUV was retuned a week ahead of schedule and I was happy with the repair. the 1/2 point taken off was due to minor details oversight by the technical staff member. I personally recommend J. H's Collison Center.

Joe Hudson's is the only body shop town that be Mercedes dealership uses. They apparently are very busy and very slow but they seem to have done excellent body work. I would recommend them to anyone but make sure they understand that they won't be seeing their car again anytime soon!
