I was visiting the Cary area from out-of-state for a few months during the pandemic, driving an early 90s Japanese car that was never sold in the US. My car developed a weird vibration that I didn't have access to tools to diagnose myself, so I posted on a local FB group asking for a shop. One of Joe's friends reached out to me directly to recommend this low-key gem and I'm so glad that he did! Joe figured out the issue within a few minutes & demonstrated it to me. Not only that, he immediately eyeballed the faulty part as one shared with another car by the same manufacturer in the US. Turns out he was right! That made finding the new part super easy. But even better, Joe is cool AF and his integrity was immediately obvious.

Great experience. Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the problem, (BMW 325 emissions leak) and provided guidance given the car is 1 year from it requiring emissions. I had the problem fixed and the price was very fair. Hidden gem, not too many garages around anymore that aren’t trying to drain your wallet unnecessarily. They have all my business, thanks Joe

I have used Joe's Garage for over 15 Years servicing my fleet of diesel trucks and vans. He is a very trustworthy guy and his knowledge of vehicles is unbelievable. Joe personally works on a lot of the jobs in the shop so you can be sure your vehicle will be fixed right. I would highly recommend.

Our initial experience with Joe involved a diesel truck that would not start while we were on a camping trip towing an RV with only two days left on our reservation. Joe immediately impressed me by demonstrating detailed knowledge of the specific characteristics of the truck make and year, essentially diagnosing the problem through a series of questions he asked over the phone. Understanding our situation, he worked us in immediately when our local dealer would not schedule us for a week. We had the truck towed to his shop that evening and he called at 8:00 the next morning having already run diagnostics to confirm the issue and had the parts on order. He completed the work the same day and his original estimate was spot on. We found him to be super nice, deeply knowledgeable, extraordinarily accommodating, and willing to provide a detailed account of problem and solution. He literally saved our vacation as well as saving us the expense of having to arrange to have the trailer towed home. He is such a super find that we will be changing our normal auto care to him despite it being a 30-minute drive for us.

Really fair pricing and Joe does such a good job with finding and fixing the problem. I had my brakes done. And my daughter got a bumper to bumper inspection by Joe when she bought her car. He’s honest and up front with everything. Highly recommend!!

I got a lemon of a used car. Poe's Auto/Joe's inc has replaced the entire transmission, tires, all spark plugs and coils (3 under Manifold,) the entire AC with a new one from Nissan, brakes with pads,rotators and calibers, blower fan shortly after entire AC from Nissan, done tune ups, oil changes, realignment, battery and # of other thing's all within under 30K mi on SUV since purchased. Only catalytic converters I had to get elsewhere. As a single mom, I admit, it's hard to find trustworthy mechanics that care about thier customers and don't take advantage of them. It's an imperfect world! And I have trusted them completely, everytime. I am actually waiting to hear back from Joe to get bback in there as soon as possible. Someone referred me to a mass production place and I wasn't even going to consider that. Taking advantage of people whom aren't "in-the-know," about cars IS their business! With the looks of these brakes a kind older gentleman should me at the gas station, where I sat with my son for hours, I had to. Fortunately, I was able to get the exact same brakes redone elsewhere immediately & like all other places except here, they do warranty thier work. I know Joe helped me out with Transmission and the prior employee that I've had to get entire brakes redone from, the AC/heater still doesn't work & I had to get spark plugs and coils he did all redone in well under a yr from as well, no longer works at Joe's inc/Poe's Auto Equipment. So I can't blame Joe for someone else's work whom isn't even employed there anymore. I know Joe is highly skilled and trustworthy or I'd have given a very negative review based on former employees work and dishonesty which isn't a fair assessment.

Oh man, what a blessing it is that we found Joe to help us fine tune our daughters car, a classic 1975 VW Super Beetle named "Frank!" Joe listened to all of our concerns and took the time to investigate every single one of them and identify solutions so Frank could be back on the road safely. He is very knowledgeable, caring and detailed! He spared no time explaining everything we needed to know and made himself available to answer any other questions we would have afterwards. We wouldn't trust anyone else but Joe to take care of Frank. He is the best!!!

Excellent service and communication! I have a rare import car and Joe has gone out of his way to make sure my vehicle is serviced right. Joe's shop specializes in diesels but will work on just about anything. He has a large range of expertise and will give you a fair estimate of what needs to be done.
