John’s Gas on Morrissey Boulevard is Boston legend status—full stop. I’ve lived in this city my entire life and I refer absolutely everyone to John without hesitation. Honest, hardworking, and as real as they come. He treats people right, does the work the right way, and never cuts corners. Shops like this don’t exist anymore. If John’s Gas can’t fix it, I don’t want it fixed.

Very helpful and trustworthy. Took my car in because the brakes were making a noise, but working fine. John explained that the noise was just from the material the brakes happened to be made of, and that it didn't need any work done. Didn't charge me even for keeping it overnight until I could come get it.

My first time getting my inspection here I was so impressed they were able to get things done on the spot to get my car pass inspection at a reasonable price that I decided to return again. This year I was told my lights were out and it part of inspection. I agree to replace light bulbs, failed inspection due to engine light is on. My engine light was never on before. Within one hour, I went to a mechanic and I was told my wires were unplugged and flipped. My wires seems to be TEMPER and causing my engine light to turn on. Needless to say I returned here a week later to get it reinspect and pass my inspection. My suggestion - before getting any work done, get a second opinion from another mechanic. Might save you $$$ and time in the future. Goodluck!

Went there to get a sticker and was told the machine was down after waiting 15 minutes. And was told this with a smirk when I know someone just wanted to be lazy and not provide the service that the state asked of them. It is unfortunate that I am a Boston resident and can’t get a sticker locally. If you machine broken FIX IT!!!

Johns Gas is a great repair facility. Quality and timely work, even for someone like me who is very impatient. It is great to have a repair shop you can trust and send family too knowing they will always receive great service and honest pricing. They also have gone more than out of their own way for me to service my companies vehicles when we were in a bind. Highly recommend Johns Gas

Excellent timely service. The owner and his employees are all polite. A good old-fashioned, nice, honest, hard-working shop. I will definitely return again. Each project he has done, I have always been pleased, and if it's something that they cannot do, the owner will be straight with you and recommends someone who may be able to help you.

My debit card information was stolen from this gas stations. I used my card to pay and either the person who was pumping my gas took a picture of my card and used it or there was a card skimmer that was used. Either way this is not okay. Be careful out there

My husband and I stopped in to fill up and were taken aback by the great service we received. The gentleman who pumped our gas was very gracious and very polite. We both used the restrooms and were astounded by how clean and lovely the were. While we're not from the area and may not have an opportunity to utilize their services, I would not hesitate to trust them with the repair of my vehicle given the way they operate their business.

Wow what a horrible horrible experience! I went to get gas from John’s gas and as I was pulling out the pump to get gas and the owner came out and told me it was a one way gas station. It was the middle of the night and no one else was around. No wonder John’s gas is going out of business!!!

Unfortunately, I have to share my terrible experience with Jon’s gas station. While it looked fairly new and clean, I was excited to pull in and get diesel for my work vehicle. There were no signs or placards anywhere. I pulled in parked my vehicle took my credit card out got out of my vehicle opened the gas tank opened the gas cap, ran the credit card on the pump, and after all of that the attendant who was doing nothing that entire time decided to come out and tell me that the gas station was one way? I have never heard of such a thing, but if it was, it certainly should have been labeled with signs. He had a bad attitude about the whole situation. It was unnecessary to make me get back in my vehicle. At that point I just decided to go elsewhere. As I was leaving another, customer pulled in and rolled their window down and he must have said something to them as well. They were facing the right way, but they still left without purchasing anything. That’s two lost purchases within 30 seconds. I’m not sure how John’s manages to stay open. I am guessing that it has something to do with that being a family member or something like that because there would be no employee at my businesses that treats customers like that. I hope Johns can get some better attendants as he moves forward.
