First time I went to John the Muffler Man, I did because the Goodyear Tire & Service was book solid for a couple of weeks. The exhaust system had a large hole right under the driver and was making a terrible noise. I went to John the Muffler Man and I was expecting a $300+ bill. Mike and the team told me they could get fixed with a simple weld. It ended up being $60. Really, that cheap? What is the catch? There was no catch. Mike told me that the rest of the exhaust system could fall apart but they would stand behind their weld job. Since then, I had other services done. More recently the car was making a strange noise in the driver side. I took it to Mike and the guys again and they were honest in describing the issue. Front coil spring was cracked, struts and shocks were done (I have a 2013 JX35). Parts and labor were very reasonable and they give you their honest opinion on what could be done, vs what needs to be done. Very happy with the service done in Sep 2023. Fast forward Feb 2024, the car was making strange noises again. The type of noises that you know that there is something wrong. Took it to Mike and the team again and when I went to pick it up, there was no charge. Once again, Mike told me what the problem was and since it was a simple fix, they did not charge me a dime. It continues to amaze me that this shop is motivated by doing things right vs charging the most money possible. Who would have thought that honesty and professionalism is the best marketing you can do. Word of mouth spreads fast and these guys are the real deal. One last thing: when should you take your car there? As soon as your car is out of factory warranty. I would not hesitate to give Mike and his team any work related to my car going forward. Keep up the good work!

Very pleased with the service and communication. They are a busy shop, you should call and get an appointment to make sure they can fit you in. The phone is ringing constantly with customers so keep that in mind when trying to reach them. I left my truck there for a few hours to make sure they had enough time to do it all right. Custom exhaust work they did looks fantastic, they contacted me prior to welding to make sure it was just how I wanted it. Would definitely go there again.

I was in town for a job from 3 hrs away. Was planning to get back home. After many failed attempts at other repair shops around I found and called up John the muffler man. I told them my situation and hoping to get on the road asap. They were very nice and polite. They got my car into the shop on a timely manner and found the problem then ordered the parts. The tech I spoke to had great customer service & made several solid recommendations for my vehicle. I needed to have a new resonator installed to my muffler. Dropped the car off at 8, was able to pick it up same day before 3:00. Pricing was standard, to-be-expected shop pricing. Overall experience was a 10/10, would recommend, would do again. Can’t beat a same day fix by the professionals.

Went in one day in need of an exhaust leak, they gave me a free quote by inspecting the problem, threw on my gasket and welded on a brand new flex pipe connecting my downpipe to catback. Was very satisfied with their work and will look forward to coming back. Would highly recommend them and go and get your car worked on if you can beat the other customers to it!

Came in day-of for a muffler repair. They gave me an honest assessment of the issue and issued a quote quickly. I thought the price was competitive with others provided while I was searching. Bad experience! This place used to be a good place years ago, but it's gone. They can't fix a simple noise in the muffler. After I paid, I had to take it back three times, and they couldn't fix it. They're also downright rude. I don't recommend them.

Attention Marquette Parents: If you have a child with a car at school and you are hours away when she calls that her car is in trouble, go to these guys. My daughter had a tire pressure light and a rusted exhaust pipe and John’s fixed it for her immediately at an awesome cost. You need to save their shop in your contacts because one day your kid will call with an issue. Fourth generation family business and look at all their customer reviews…they are fantastic! You are not being charged a franchise fee like a chain operation. I will be telling all her friend’s parents to do the same. These guys are courteous and realistic.Her car has 250k on it and it’s not worth a whole exhaust system. New flex pipe and she’s ready to go. Excellent Service I had my car dropped off because of excessive noise from the front end. It actually sounded like I was dragging rats and cans. Michael worked with me and informed me of all the issues and damage to my front end. He was honest and straightforward, I gave him the green light and he fixed my car. I have to return next month to get Springs and Shocks which is fine with me. My car drives so quiet and just smooth! Hands downs John the Muffler Repair Shop was affordable and fast turnaround.
