As a Groupon purchase of 2 oil changes. The first oil change was no problem. They said my vehicle would need $2500. valve job. I have a reader for auto issues based on constant updates and codes. Went for 2nd oil change + brakes. As I wanted to smog and DMV register.What was to be a one day apt, and it turned out to cost $1700 for 4 sensors, plus a 5th, he said, was run over (I asked for the parts). Jts would not answer my calls. I'm trying on Thusday/Friday to reach the shop with my last chance to p/u my car before the weekend and the shop was closed. I called 15 times to get my vehicle. After the shop closed Friday night, I was able to tell JT's I need my car or a rental. He met me 30 mins later. My teen was with me, and while she was sitting in the lobby with me. JTs then made some very disturbing comments about his teen daughter. Finally, I pay, go to my vehicle, and the first thing I see upon starting shows the prepaid oil change was not done. I went to get an oil change down the street. The first thing they said, never let my oil drop so low. In addition, the codes should have cleared after replacement. My vehicle is not driveable without my dmv tags. So all of this, just to have my vehicle on a non-op. The shop did not show any of the cleared codes by changing 4 0R 5 ¿sensors? I would never recommend JTs‼️ Also, I am not going back there for the 2nd oil change, which JTs said they had not done. When I reviewed the insurance reader and my app showed my car had been driven around as if doing errands. So if all the same codes read-out and are still the issues, make it a N0 Brainerd. He still OWES me for the pre-paid oil change. I would not let them put air in my tires nor speak with my teen daughter. His comments about HIS teenage daughter were disturbing at best.

I found JT’s just by searching online and I’m so glad I did. Friendly people that will make you laugh and great prices. I loved that no one tried to up-sale any unnecessary repairs. I was able to get oil change on both our cars. In & out! Sooo smooth and painless. I tend to dread oil changes but I think we’ve found our place moving forward. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a good experience getting an oil change at JT's. My cousin told me about them and recommended getting the Groupon. I had a nice conversation with the owner and another client of theirs while I waited. I did have to go back because some oil had spilled on part of the car and needed to be cleaned, but the owner saw to it right away. Overall, I would go again. I feel like if I had questions about car issues, the owner would do his best to explain and to be real, which I appreciate.

So I came here first for an oil change a while ago. I really appreciate Joe and how he interacted with me. Thursday I called him to check on the price for a transmission fluid flush. It was much better than another automotive shop nearby in Oxnard that I had inquired about. That shop was more than twice as much, foul mouthed, and it was ibvious they were inflating the price because we were women. I have a Fiat 500 L trekking. Joe had no problem changing my transmission fluid even though it's not a common car. The very next day we brought our other car to him for another transmission fluid change. Even with both cars getting a full transmission fluid change it was cheaper than the first shop we inquired about. As a woman, I feel comfortable coming here and I will recommend JT to my daughter and girl friends.

I moved to Florida from Ventura county and regularly drive my vehicle back and forth. On my last drive to the west coast I noticed a coolant leak coming from my van. Knowing I had to drive over 2500 miles to get back home to Florida it was very important to have my car running reliability (especially as I'd have to drive through the desert and Texas). I took my vehicle to JT's to have my coolant system fixed and some maintenance items included at the same time, such as a new water pump and timing belt. I got a couple quotes from different shops in the area and JT's was the best price and I had a good feeling about getting the work done There. JT's was also able to work with my very short timeline as I had to make the return trip soon. I picked up the vehicle in the short time frame with no issues. After driving the vehicle around for a couple days around town I wanted him to take a second look at the cooling system, just to make sure everything was in perfect working order. He took the van in immediately and fixed the small issue, which was covered with the warranty he offers. We finished our trip driving across the country and the van ran flawlessly with no issues at all (while pulling a trailer). If you're looking for auto repairs I recommend checking to see what JT's Automotive can do for you.

Tried going a more cost friendly way to fix my transmission with my own parts i sourced out and at every stop he insisted i still go thru his connections just so he could make a killer profit. Guy realized he couldnt force my hand so i picked up my car with oil stains inside my car and scratched on passenger fender. Never again. So shady, unorganized, and way overpriced

Found them on Groupon for an oil change voucher at a great price. Waited an hour in the lobby and was held hostage by the owner talking about his personal life and asking questions about my life. No issues about the oil mentioned when all was done, except them maybe not having a filter for me (red flag). Looked at my oil the next morning and saw that the color and oil levels were pretty much where I left them when I came in for the change. Called the owner and explained what I saw and they were defensive and said that this is impossible and it would take an overnight oil drain to get a clear oil reading so its normal that the color looks like that. WRONG! I've had my oil changed at those drive thru places where they get it done in 15 min and the dipstick came back clear then. I asked them to explain the low oil levels then, they didnt have an answer. Just a surprised "tHaT's WeIrDdD". Then I asked for a refund since nothing was done and trust in them has been shot down as a first time customer. They refused because "well, I did the service" but they offered for me to come back for either a top off of oil or another oil change.???? You expect me to come back to get a service done that you already claim you did? Pass. Im too busy for this nonsense. Filing a dispute with the bank.

There’s only one mechanic that I trust in Ventura County. Having been in the car business for so long, I know exactly where to tell Karr dealers and customers alike on where to go to get their car serviced or repaired. Joe is an amazing guy and knows his stuff. And will thoroughly explain exactly what’s going on with your car in Laymans terms so that you understand. With His competitive pricing and customer service there’s no other Service center you’ll wanna have your car taken care of at. This review is long overdue!

I went for an oil change and the wait was a little long but that’s life. The owner is friendly and fair. Boy does he love his wife! It was really nice to hear a man talk so nicely about his wife and kids. I didn’t feel like I would get ripped off. There were a couple of things wrong with my car but no hard sell to get it done. I felt comfortable and will definitively go back. I’ve already recommended hin to some friends. Thank you
