Really impressed with Karl Weis Auto Body. Took my car in to get an estimate on the damage and received the estimate within 15-20 minutes. The work they did was quick and thorough and they detailed my car, which was a nice, unexpected surprise. Highly recommend!

The service was honest and excellent. The front bumper on my car was coming apart, and was in need of repair. Karl Weis Auto Body was both extremely fast and honest in their repair. They said they only needed to replace a few screws and clamps, and that I was set. After a quick 5 minute wait in the front office, my car was repaired. When I asked what the total was for the work, they simply said "No charge, come back when you need some real work done.", with a smile. The professionalism of Karl Weis Auto Body is un-matched. I would absolutely use their service again, as I am 100% sure their pricing would be spot on and accurate, and their work extremely professional. If you're in the South Bend area in need of auto body repair, I would wholeheartedly recommend Karl Weis Auto Body Repair.

We're new to South Bend and equate finding a good body shop to finding a good doctor or dentist. Recently, our vehicle slid on the ice into another car. We asked around and Karl Weiss Auto Body Shop was the common referral with everyone. Both their work and service were excellent! We had received a quote through our dealership and Karl Weiss came in $500 less, plus we received a loaner AND they detailed the car. It took the exactly the amount of time for the amount quoted. And, it turned out great!! We couldn't have been happier.

After a parked car "jumped into my husband's way", we had a bundle of scratches to show for the encounter on our 2020 Volvo. Too early in the car's life for that song and dance. Lots of reviews and estimates later, we decided on Karl Weiss, for more than one reason. Their estimate was extremely fair (and even less expensive than some others, but that wasn't the deciding factor). We were very impressed by the professionalism here. My husband also noted that they were the only company that was observant of masks. We don't always wear masks (we forget, etc.), but we were wholly impressed by the fact that they respect the diversity of viewpoints out there. You find many people these days politicizing things. Don't need that in the marketplace--do what you want when you are out and about, but at least show us that you aren't trying to cut corners by disobeying county law in your own business. They showed us they were playing by the rules--I want honesty from those working on my car. Their actions spoke volumes. If you are going to "blow off" what the county mandates, why should I trust you will be forthcoming with my car. Yes, we do business with people we believe to be wholly honest. That said, this gave us a favorable impression of the business. The clean interior was inviting, and the professionalism exuded by the owners/employees made us feel more confident in our choice. Weiss did not disappoint. I'm here to add my five-star review. We picked up our car and one cannot tell it was ever hit. Not a nick or even slight scratch in place. I mean, they are great, but I'm hoping not to visit again, for obvious reasons, other than saying, "hi." Great place.

I have used Karl Weis a few times for a body repair and paint job, bumper repair and now I needed help getting the rusty screws off of my license plate so I could put the new license plate on. I have been in twice to Karl Weis for scraped paint on my car. Both times I was able to go in without an appointment and receive prompt, professional, and cheerful service. Not to mention they ended up buffing out the scratches for free! Their quotes are fair and reasonable, and they take time to explain them to you in detail. Can't recommend them enough!

I took my truck there after being involved in a crash. They stated that it would take 2 weeks to complete the repairs. It ended up taking 7 weeks with very little communication, and always an excuse. I had to call to find out if they would complete it on the new dates that they kept giving. When I was finally told that it would be ready, I was stuck waiting in the lobby for about 2-3 hours. When they pulled it around it was aware that no one had even looked the truck over. There were still big scratches on areas they were paid to repair. The truck was left again overnight. When I went to put fuel in my truck, a few days after I picked it up, I realized that they hadn't attached my filler neck to my truck bed, so I had to go back before I ran out of fuel. Shortly after that I started having problems with my taillights. I took it back, and they told me it wasn't the light they had installed that failed, it was something else and that I should take it to a shop that does those types of repairs. I did, and the cause was listed as a compromise to the wiring harness under the bed. I sent the repair bill to Karl Weiss, and they wanted to dispute it. Shortly after that I started experiencing additional worrying issues with my truck, I contacted them and they ignored me. I filled a small claim against them and rather than do the right thing and fix my truck, they hire an attorney to fight the claim. I wouldn't allow them to put air in my tires, and after all of this, I'll make sure that to warn everyone I know about the way they have been for me.

My experience with Karl Weis Body Shop was excellent. I dealt mostly with Gary, but also talked to Dennis some. Everyone was great. Repairs needed were explained clearly, they worked with the insurance company well. The delay to get our car repaired was minimal and they even did an on the spot repair so our trunk would close and lock so we could use the car during the short time we had to wait for the car to go in for repair. Finished body repair work was excellent and you cannot tell that it was worked on. Car was ready by the time promised. 5 stars out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.

I took my 1994 GMT400 to have the drivers door repaired. The door hinges had weakened over the years making it difficult to open and close. Gary not only agreed to do the work, but the work was stellar and the door works like new. They also fixed the power window making it dependable again. It took longer than they thought but the work they did made it worth the wait. It’s hard to say if the cost was comparable elsewhere but the customer service and professionalism was more than enough reason to be loyal to this small business.

I had an amazing time here. Came in for a repair on the bottom side of my car. The staff was super kind and attentive. They helped me right away, sat inside and chatted with me, and got the car fixed within 30 minutes!!! Can not recommend enough. Coming here for my repair was the best decision I ever made!!
