Was traveling through Kentucky from out of state when I had a blow out on the highway. Limped my vehicle back 16 miles to Tire Discounters because it was a name I recognized and have dealt with at home. I explained to the gentleman behind the counter that I was from out of state and needed a tire to get me home. His response was that he wouldn't be able to help me because they closed in 45 minutes (Saturday of a holiday weekend). I then took my vehicle to Walmart Tire, and explained my situation. The gentleman there told me that he would only sell me 4 tires because my car was AWD. I understand that replacing 1 tire only throws alignment off however, I just needed to get my vehicle home and not be stranded. I finally (reluctantly, because I was in a bind) agreed to 4 tires however after all that... they did not have the tires in stock. After calling a couple other places I found Ken Towerys on Winchester Rd. They did not have my tire size in stock, but said a location further away did. At this point I had driven my vehicle, on a blown out run flat tire, at least 25-30 miles. I was 11 miles to the Winchester Rd location, but was unsure if I could drive the car any further than that. Robert, at Winchester Rd. offered to get the tire from the other location and have it at his location if I could get there. I made it and the staff there was wonderful! So much so, that I decided to stay overnight so that I could drive to the Nicholasville Rd. location in the morning to purchase the other 3 tires and have my vehicle aligned. The staff at that location was equally wonderful! If I were local Ken Towery's would definitely have earned all of my future business, as well as that of anyone else I could share the information with. You're doing it right! Overcharge, didn't finish my car for a wheel alignment. Said to me if I didn't like The taxes to leave America, I felt that was disrespectful and racist. They told me 129 for a wheel alignment. Change me 152 way more then 6 percent. Would never go there again or recommend it?This is the winchester rd location in Lexington ky... Stay away

Have been to this location numerous times as well as one other Ken Towery. Always found them to be friendly, helpful and reasonably priced whether buying new tires or simple repair.

I would NOT recommend this auto repair center. I bought new tires in December with the road hazard warranty "and I say warranty loosely" . I popped my tire on 5/20/19. I went to the store to get it replaced to only find out that the road hazard warranty is useless. So I had to pay for another tire and alignment. I had my mother on the phone to get the card number to pay for the repairs and she is 76 years old so not the speediest to say. As I had her on speaker phone the manager (Chad) was extremely rude to me and my mother, as if our business was no good and we where a problem to him. The rest of the day my mother was upset at the way he respected her over the phone. When I left the alignment was still way off. I called and set up another appointment to have the alignment checked/fixed to only leave with the alignment out of spec again. Today I took my car to the Todds rd location and they where very friendly and fixed my alignment. The manager at Todds rd said they should have covered the tire. I called to speak to (Chad) again to ask why I was charged for the tire when it was under warranty that I paid for, once again he was quite rude about this issue. I hope this review may help someones mother from having a bad day. Thanks (Chad)!!! Here is the way it left the shop. -Matthew Smith.

Earlier this week, I found myself 200 miles from home in Lexington with a flat tire. I was exhausted from traveling, and to make matters worse, my car typically requires service from a specific dealership, which wasn’t available anywhere nearby. I stopped at the closest shop, Ken Towery’s Tire & Auto, and from the moment I walked in, they were incredible. They immediately came out to assist me and assured me they could take care of it and get me back on the road quickly. The staff was outstanding, friendly, professional, and engaging in conversation while I waited. They had me fixed up in no time. But the best part? When I went to pay, they told me it was on the house. I was blown away. I may not live in Lexington, but if I’m ever in the area again and need anything within their scope of services, I’ll absolutely be back. I’d give them a million stars if I could. They turned a stressful situation into a truly positive experience. Thank you, Ken Towery’s!

My last repair at this location they replaced my left rear brake hose but failed to clamp my brake hose. They also replaced full brakes front,rear and rotors so I thought I was good on brakes. Well yes and no. You could literally walk up to my car and pull down my brake hose. Naturally, my brakes are not at its best due to the air in my line. Why would they do this to me? I paid in cash. Wow!

I took my car here twice since November. The first time wasn’t a bad experience. The second has been a nightmare. Although the staff was super nice they messed my car up and it’s now leaking oil. They towed it back the same day I got it back and they said they didn’t test drive it but just put it on the rack and it didn’t leak any oil but it started leaking as soon as I left. I didn’t fool with returning but I would recommend to try some place else because this one is very inexperienced. It took almost 7 days for the car to be fixed and I was very patient but after getting it a second time and it leaking oil all over my driveway which didn’t do before I am done with this location once and for all. They destroyed my car. Oh and to mention I spent almost $4500 between the two visits. The photos only show after driving it home after one stop for food. The oil on the drive is much worse now. The tires that was installed on the front of my car work great, even took the wobble out of my steering wheel. But im extremely pissed that the GS mechanic went through trunk and got a socket to change my tires cause he didnt have one. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever for a shop to go through a customer car looking for a tool that every mechanic should have. It was a normal socket not even a special socket with the key inside. Im happy with the tire but extremely unhappy with the GS mechanic

We drove over debris from an accident and something lodged under our vehicle. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to the Ken Towery shop was to open. The manager allowed us to come in to wait for one of his techs to arrive. When they put the vehicle up on a lift, not only did they remove the debris, they thoroughly inspected for other damage. Finding none, they sent us on our way, all of this in less than an hour! I appreciated the courtesy and consideration we were shown, and if there was a Ken Towery shop in my town, it would get all business!!
