I am writing this in hopes someone will avoid the mistake I made of brining my car here. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in July. Having just gotten the car I was very distraught. I was recommended this shop by Allstate stating it was in good hands with repubable people… I was hesitant at first and should have listened to my gut. During these 4 months that my car was in the hands of this shop, I was receiving calls about how parts were being ordered, how the car is being broken apart to assure accurate damage, and how the front bumper is completely fixed. After 2/3 months of my car being in the owners hands, “Jim” stopped answering my calls. Here we are 4 months later. I finally had enough and showed up the auto shop only to find my car smashed up the same was it was when it arrived. In fact it was in worse condition as it was sitting outside with the hood open, no tarp and debris everywhere for 4 months. My car is now in WORSE condition than how it arrived there thanks to Knights Auto. Please heed my warning and DO NOT trust this shop by any means.

Stay far away from this place. This “shop” and owner Jim (Jimmy) has had my car for months with no progress other than taking parts off and putting nothing on. He doesn’t return phone calls and has been a hassle for my insurance. The rare chance you do catch him he will say everything would be done in a week but here we are 4 months later and still nothing. The mechanics don’t know anything, even when you show up in person, and they just tell you to speak with Jim. This is the biggest hassle and scam of my life and I hope to spread the word to others so they can never use this place. All the other reviews are several years old so clearly he doesn’t live up to his past reputation.

Customer service is incredible, had my car done earlier than expected and also had it cleaned, washed, vacuumed, and tire shined for pick up because of the trouble I had to go through from the insurance company. He provided me with updates daily and I would go back to Knight Street in a heart beat with any other issues. They are the best there is in CT.

They had my car for a month just for a new fender and bumper cover. When I finally got the car back I drove it around and the paint started chipping off of the bumper and fender. Bumper was completely covered in chips from regular driving on roads and highway. When I showed it to them they refused to do anything about it even though the said they guarantee their work. Regardless of what other reviewers are saying this is absolutely what happened to me. Do not use them look somewhere else.
